I had exactly the same feeling as you. We moved 5 years ago from Belgium to Poland. Finally bought a 5 acre property and starting to give it some shape. Keep up the good work!
Growing up my parents did the "small farm" thing. My mornings started with milking goats. Gather eggs, feeding,cleaning etc...My parents weren't "hippies". Very fundamental Christians. Until you invent "time machine" there is never enough of it to get things how you think they should be. Do what you can. Enjoy while you can.
