Saw this episode on Buzzr today. Just had a feeling it was going to be an all $0 finish. It was great watching Chris play. He knew exactly what he was doing the entire game. Always nice to see that since so many people play poorly.
This is the 1st episode in which all 3 players comeback, because they got $0. The other episode (which is most famous for) in which Dorothy/Wayne/Joe cameback with $0, where host Peter Tomarken said to Joe, "it's all your fault!"
They all were allowed to come back not only because they each ended up with nothing in their banks after running out of spins but also because none of them hit 4 whammies. But in this case, the whammies seemed to have "ruled that thanksgiving day".
To be fair, Joe had nothing he could do about it. Considering he was trailing miserably, he had no choice when he passed his spin and forced Dorothy to whammy.
Were there any other times that the three contestants whammied out snd they wee forced to come back on the next episode? This one and #615 are the only two I could find “AND DOMINIC, IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!”
Probably the slide projector in that square malfunctioned .. each square had 3 slide projectors, however they got all of them to produce a morphing effect is beyond me. In the early episodes of PYL you saw more squares go black as they were breaking in the board
Russell H oh come on, don't blame Chris for causing everyone to hit a whammy on their last spin. Besides, what are the odds of winning the game with just one spin? But of course, those whammies seem to have "ruled that thanksgiving day".

why he was the 5 day champ
He always knew the correct move
That's what you get for gambling with your eyes closed Dom!
LOL, that was too much fun.
the first 3 way tie

Unlike what Peter would say (and blame Joe for) over a year later.

But it was Chris's doings that got eveyone to 0!
@@PYLrulz1984 but it was Chris's fault. This ending was Chris's doing.

I guess the whammies ruled that thanksgiving day episode.
Wasn't on Thanksgiving. They never aired any shows on Thanksgiving Day - this one aired the following Monday (11/26/84).
Will air on GSN on 2/23 if they don't skip over the previous three episodes, or previous one episode, due to THanksgiving references.
Sadly Dom passed away in 2019 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s.
ah
May he RIP
Good strategy but I wouldn't be shocked if Dom was pissed off at Chris lol
hence his faulty strategy at the end of next episode
He was… see the ending of the next episode
Bob wouldn’t have liked this one at 11:12

Not that I know of, but if there were, it would have been in one of the unarchived September 1986 episodes.
It's Chris fault
14:11 $700+ One Spin is missing, wonder how that happened??
Wolfman12395 probably something up with the slide (or at least the set up for that slide).
@aDg 2k18 I guess they didn’t realize it until they replaced the original slides with the neon slides in mid August 1985

Spook More Chris played well. He must have done something right to make $58000 j
And, Chris, it's all your fault! It was he who passed to force dom and diane down to S0!

@@ChristianLakhan chris passed to try to make dian and dom hit whammies. It was all the doing of his strategy. I think Chris would gladly take credit
@@ChristianLakhan "And, Chris, it's all your fault!" could also be considered a play on the OTHER all-zero tie; see Gary's comment below.
@@michaelj.kerkau1625 yes. But it was Joe's 'fault'. And I still contend it was the machinations of Chris's strategy that caused this
@@biruss Joe had no choice. What could he have done when he was trailing miserably?
