Chris found himself in the gauntlet. Of the squares where the whammies were located, at least 2 had Chris managing to dodge big time. Almost $10,000 won by Chris, but managed to stave off elimination and won in convincing fashion.
$470 hit twice in round 1 ! Still a mystery why they put that total up there. Where is Steve Bryant and the "NO WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES?" Can't wait to get to those!
I can explain Chris's strategy. After reaching 2nd, passing to Sharon would had left her with enough after the whammy to catch him at 2750. Then he hadn't enough spins to make Sharon whammy. Finally, $3500 isn't enough of a lead to pass 2.
@@robertanderson2898 I'm not sure if there is another one where someone hit 3 Whammies in a row and then went on to win. Winning while sitting on 3 Whammies - yes, plenty of those. But winning after 3 in a row? Not so much.
17:41 Actually, Peter, unless the car had gone back down, it *would* have let Sharon win. At $5341, she would have won by $121. More importantly, of course, is the fact that it wasn't up there - but if it had been and she'd hit it, she would have nabbed the 5th win unless it went back to being the $5199 car (that would mean losing by just $21). That said, had that happened, she'd have been the only 5-day winner to miss $50000, missing by just $441.
Passing would indeed have been the better play, but either the Motorboat or the Tent Trailer would still have given it to her. (The former would also have put her over $50000 - at $4891, she'd have finished with $10641.) And having said this, I don't really blame her for trying for it. Her 4th win saw her at $0 going into the final spin, only to turn that into a $6500 win (she was only down $600 going into that, but still). In other words, 4220 was well within her ability to overcome - it's just that her luck finally ran out.
"Sweet potatoes, cranberries, and a turkey."🦃
Chris had balls here
Turkey whammy double the guitar whammy no

Chris picked up subconsciously on patterns. He knew when to play and when to pass
4:40-4:50 enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner, cuties.
It's one of the best animated whammies moments. Them stuffing their faces and happy without being thieves.
@TripSoul10 word.

He makes his TV debut in episode 469! 😉
Airs on GSN 2/22 Wed(unless they skip the episodes with the Thanksgiving references like they skipped the 10/31/84 Halloween episodes a few weeks ago)
Yup, they skipped it. Came here to see what I missed. They skipped to 306. Which makes sense, with the three-way-tie and all.

Funny, Chris seems to have a look of confused disapproval of Sharon's strategy
It's not often that a player WINS the game after a hat trick. Give CHRIS a hat trick!
I know. I've seen it maybe a handful of times up to this episode so far.
Chris knew how to balance press and pass

Also chris appears on card sharks a couple years later
lol
Sharon came so close to retire.
She should have passed back to Chris
Russell H based how much she was trailing by, I would never blame her for Pressing Her Luck.
Mark Uyeda hey at least she history by becoming the first champion to make it 5 days in a row!
