Problem with the M4 is that they sell new for around $90k, and I’ve seen some over $100k at dealerships WITHOUT markups. The M4 does not look or drive like a $100k car

In my opinion its absolutely worth the 90k. driving an m is not comparable to anything in this price range

@@2mjz84 the mustang is nearly as fast yes, and if you want a car that has an epic sound, good performance, good power etc for a cheap price, then the mustang is the way to go.
but an m has so much more to offer, you only know what its like when you drove one. the mustang is a very nice car, but it has its downsides. Interior, all the gadgets, the m4 has a slip differential, a double clutch transmission, etc. etc. there is a reason for the higher price. you dont just pay for the name, thats what i wanted to say =)

A used one is definitely the way to go.
I got my 2015 F82 for $48k. Original msrp was 82k, every option except Comp pack and Full Marino Leather. Car was babied, pristine condition, 10k in visual extras as well. Definitely would not pay 90k for the same car a few years later.

People are saying it’s so expensive in the comments, but the 93k is only for the convertible version, while the normal one starts at 79k. And I do agree the convertible is overpriced.

My wife has an E92 M3 with the aftermarket catless meisterschaft exhaust. There’s just nothing like the sounds of the old V8.

Just picked up my BMW M4 convertible with signature Petrol Mica Blue and Brown interior. The price is steep, but it’s last year for hard top. Do not like the looks of the M6 or new M8 with soft top. If you are into traditional gauges this is the last year in the M4. It’s my second 4 series hardtop convertible but first M. Your reviews are well done!

I love this car!!! The exhaust set up is the coolest thing to me. I do agree with you Joe, that the rear needs something different. I was thinking maybe a body color spoiler that is just like the ones on a dodge challenger. Also, I would like to know what your favorite BMW vehicle that you have driven is?

I have two cars one of which is 2006 Z4 M Coupe. It was made more in line with M philosophy. 6 speed manual, mechanical limited slip differential, no active suspension, hydraulic steering. Interior basic other than leather seats and some leather on pieces of interior. I still enjoy driving it and I will keep it since it is such an honest car. The M4 is nice cruiser but 93K? I pass. Nice review as usual Joe! You do great job with your knowledge and enthusiasm!

BMW M4 is Sexy AF. Joe, you are right. I could just pull up a chair and have some nice detail spray & a microfiber towel and just detail and stare and take some pictures of my Dope BMW. I think you are helping me warm up to the DCT Transmission. Looks pretty direct the way it snaps off up shifts.

Them switching from e90 and e92 3 series to making them a separate series makes a lot sense since with the f chassis, there’s a 4 series coupe and sedan, it would of been just way to many different types of 3 series plus the wagon

just a dude i agree but most c8s are optioned well over 80 right now performance wise the m4 can’t touch the c8 but an m3 with 2 carseats in the back is what some people need tbh I’ve got a kid and a 2nd on the way even my 17GT is feeling cramped with a single carseat so I bought a 19 ram rebel to get around town with thinking of getting an m3 in place of the stang for the rear seats. If I had no kids I’d be looking at the c8 no doubt awesome car

How's the reliability on these cars? Torn between this, lexus rcf, corvette stingray and Nissan GT-R. M4 always been my dream car but worried about reliability issues don't want to be stranded and I drive a lot.

Watching this, I'm glad I got one of the last of the 20s with the hard top just like this one. I got it at 78K new, one of the last newam picking it up next week. Also drove Porsche but I chose this for reasons shown here. It sounds better than the Porsches Imo, plus the hard top and the kickass looks including the rear view mirrors. Like many, not interested in the 21 soft top or that grill

I Believe M4s are waaay over priced for what you get. 90k is ridiculous its not top line luxury or top line performance, so what are you paying for? Mediocre performance for that price and very basic interior. The M4s competitor would be a C63 AMG, compare the 2 and its not really close, the M4 is better around a track but if you wanted one better around a track then the best option would be an M2. then prior years F80s sell for around 40-50. Theres really no reason to get a 2020.

@@PG574 you smoking dope, I have driven one and I'm not talking about just a test drive, I wasn't sold at all. M2 is funner and performs better. Niether are top line luxury. The interior has hardly changed from my 2011, so I opted to get a cheaper Corvette that blows the doors off that M4. Just my opinion tho.

A Thom 100% agree reminds me more of the Honda sounding cars no offense but BMW M's aren't in that level. The C63 however imo has one of the most unique sounding exhaust

80K is a fair price, 93K too high. The exhaust sounds too light, tinny for a 400+ HP. I have admired the Beemers since '82.

I’’ve got the M Performance Exhaust, sounds significantly better. There’s the standard M exhaust, the M competition exhaust (shown here) and the M performance exhaust ($3860 USD upgrade). Each upgrade sounds better.

This car is on dealerships for around 100K you know what will be on dealerships for around 100K (starts at 73k will def get 20-30k markup) the 2020 GT500 which gives you 760 horsepower and 625-lb-ft of torque mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Shows you how overpriced the M4 is.
The only thing the M4 needs is at least 500 hp, better dash and infotainment area, and a better sounding engine. Otherwise it’s still always been one of my favorite cars ever since it came out

James Dial since these past 2 years have passed, I was in the market for a car to replace my ‘12 mustang and I actually ended up driving a bunch of cars and fell in love with the 4 series. The power and dash don’t need any tweaking but the infotainment was behind Audi and Benz for sure. As for the G gen it’s perfect in my eyes. Congrats on the C43 my man!

Got mine for 49k with 15k miles two years ago. Same color lol but the convertible looks soft in my opinion I got the carbon roof instead.
Absolutely man I'm having a really hard time letting go of it. I have a 2018 x6m I purchased last year and told myself I'll get rid of the m4 but I havent been able to. Only thing I've had to do was change tires and alignment. Dealer covered oil changes and brakes.

The hardtop M4 doesn't have a good looking roof line. The coupe by far has a more impressive look.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the 4 series. But I feel like it’s too large for a performance coupe. I think the older 3 series coupes and newer M2s are more an ideal size for handling and performance
I see the M4 as more of a badass GT car and less of a trackable daily driver

I agree. $93k is ridiculous for this. Also the interior does look dated. The gages are so plain and the infotainment screen is small and just placed in the center with no housing around it. There are way better options for the price.
