Thanks for posting this clip Iain. This is the first time I have seen someone address the strike that sweeps up from low to high. In our system the strike varies from the Shotokan approach and is performed more like a regular punch. I have always wanted to see how that strike might be used by other styles that use the upward swinging fashion rather than a ballistic manner. Thanks again.
I very much like the idea behind that rising fist, but I have a concern about the knuckles meeting the skull. It's generally not a good idea for the knuckles, unless there's a specific soft (or breakable) target in mind. What do you think?
