I’m just introducing my 15 year old granddaughter to card making so searching for some basic skills tutorials. Came across this ‘old’ one from you Natasha. I notice you hadn’t even perfected the tape trick yet! Your confidence has certainly grown over the years as you continue to generously share with us. Thank you!
Wow 6 years ago you were creating these gorgeous cards and like a diamond in the rough, you have just polished your skills beautifully since then. Incredible ❤ Thank you
Dear Natasha how refreshing to watch a card making video which doesn’t include someone doing a 10minute talk to camera telling us all about their life aaaaaagh plus I don’t really want to watch 10 minutes of someone colouring or cutting you seem to have it just right I love your videos plus Thankyou for putting me on to AliExpress I’d never heard of it I live in Manchester UK so it’s taking a while for stuff to come but worth it for the massive price differential keep crafting love Joan lol
It does take a fair while for things to come, I agree, but part of the deal really isn't it :) Thank you for your lovely kind comments! This video is a super old one! I cringe to go back and watch these lol!
I like your old videos as much as I like the new ones, Natasha. Other than you sounding a little shy, they’re not that different than the newer ones. It’s obvious you learned how to polish your presentation but the heart is still the same. Although I know we’re spoiled with getting a video almost every other day, it still isn’t enough so I often go back and watch your old videos. I sometimes get lucky and discover one I somehow missed! There are other card makers that I love and am subscribed to but you have a unique creativity and style and manage to be thorough and concise at the same time. Most importantly, you make them look like something anyone can do. I have no problems with long videos if the material is engaging and yours always is. I suspect it’s because you’re a grade school teacher (and obviously an excellent one); you know how to teach the things you know well to an audience with a notoriously short attention span! 😂 Still, whenever you say a video is going to be a long one, my response is always “YAY!” Coincidentally enough, you mentioned you learned this particular technique from Jennifer McGuire, the queen of marathon card making videos, and I love all her videos too.) The OP mentioned her dislike of videos that have the host opening with a 10 minute soliloquy on their private lives. It’s ironic that I came across this comment because I had a similar thought recently. A few days later, I thought it through and realized the video didn’t annoy me, I was already in a bad mood when I watched the video which resulted in my impatience and hyper critical assessment. In other words, I was in a bitchy mood. 😆 In general, I actually enjoy hearing snippets about the lives of the UA-cam hosts I’m subscribed to. (For example, I love to hear about your children and would love to see some of their makes, if you get the time and energy to record them. 😊) I’ve only come across one real exception. The maker spent a good 75% of the time on a soliloquy lamenting the current bane to her existence and mentioned her project the few times she seemed to remember it was why she was recording a voiceover. I unsubscribed from her channel because it proved to be the channel’s MO, not an occasional occurrence. It’s a shame because she’s a talented maker. More than once, I have clicked on a video based on the beautiful card on the thumbnail but then I’d hear her distinctive opening greeting and ended up berating myself for forgetting exactly why I unsubscribed from the channel.
Working my way through some of your delightful, older videos. You were a rising star back then, and are shining even brighter now!! I love how you work tips and hints into your videos without missing a beat!! Thank you for sharing your talents so generously :)
Thank you so much for sharing these Beautiful cards made with AliExpress products! I am trying to rebuild my craft supplies after I lost everything in a house fire last year and on a very limited income as I was diagnosed with cancer a month after the fire. Because of your videos I have purchased a couple products from AliExpress so I would like to thank you for the inspiration and for sharing your time and talent with us!! Love your channel! big hugs...xoxoxo
Making cards I stamp and I've got the pearl essence drops in pink and white I don't do to use him with the heat gun because I've never had the money spare but it shows you get a better finish than you do with backing paper that's designed Island all really good and for showing me thank you xx
Hi Natasha! I think it`s great that you work with low price stamps. The cards are beautiful and noone could tell the difference. I have very little money left for craft supplies and I bought some very nice clear stamps from China on Aliexpress and Ebay. I love your tutorials and this card is no exception :)) A warm HELLO and a BIG THANK YOU from Slovenia, Josi
I like that you said where your inspiration came from. I think I like this technique almost as much as inlay. Was odf to not see the "corners technique" when taking off the foam backing😅
Very pretty card!! It`s such a pity that there are not more crafters who present Aliexpress stamps. I have a feeling that the Americans stay true only to their products which are so damn expensive, or they just don`t want the Chinese to get their hands on their Dollar???!!! Therefore I like your channel even more. Hugs from Slovenia, Josi
I am new to AliExpress and this card is so pretty I am going to order those flowers 🌺 thank you so much for sharing . I also subscribed for more inspiration from you 💕
hi if you can tell what machine is used to cut and make them as i received same gnomes as a gift and they are so adorable after watching you video would love to learn to make my own thx so much
Hi thanks this lovely card. I m very new to stamping. I just collected some stamps from clearance ( the stamps which came with magazines as a gift) they are sooo hard to peel of from their backing sheet. Once I pulled them off they dont stick back to backing sheet. I m so annoyed even I ripped off one thin border stamp during pulling. Plz tell the right way. If i am doing something wrong or my stamp set is old or what? I noticed u said the stamp set u r using is not photopolymer, but its clear !!! I thought there are only 3 types; clear, cling or rubber. Thanx a lot 🙏
Can I ask why you make A2 size cards when our card is A4? Do you buy cardstock from the US? Also where did you get the poweder tool from? I have the powder bag, but like the Martha Stewart one you use.
Michelle Janssen Hi! I make a2 cards because I buy US A4 sheets of paper and can make 2 cards out of an a4 piece of paper with no waste. Also, the powder tool is the one from EK Success. I do buy cardstock from the US though. I like neenah solar white 80lb for card fronts and 110lb for card bases.
Half of our A4 cardstock makes C6 cards, which are slightly longer but narrower than the US A2 cards. If you buy US cardstock though it's a different size to ours which makes sense. Which company did you get the powder tool from?
Hi there, I purchased it from Simonsaysstamp.com Here's the link www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Kaisercraft-WILDFLOWER-Clear-Stamps-CS285-MKCCS285?currency=USD

I really enjoy simple cards. I love the white embossing and of course the orange because it's my favorite color.
