This video was really cool to see, as my ground school instructor was one of the Bell engineers who participated in this project. I'm not gonna share his name here for obvious reasons. He shared so many cool stories about the Osprey's development and other anecdotes from his time working for Bell. Hands down one of the coolest people I know.

If those Marines only knew how many of them would die in the V22, I doubt they'd be playing. These war industry execs are horrible monsters. We are tired of the endless wars for no good purpose.

V22's safety is similar to that of the Blackhawk.

@@THESocialJusticeWarrior v22 is slightly better by crashes per 100,000 flight hours if i remember correctly. Plus the recent crash most people base there opinion of the craft on was completely on the pilot in command who ignored several chip or metal in the gear box indicators till the metal disintegrated the gearbox and engines.

The issue is 'Blackhawk/SeaHawk crashes are often survivable, where as the V-22 crashes not.
There is a reason why the Marines were the only branch who initially approved flying the V-22...
The Marine Corps attitude toward danger and life threatening situations is something else.

No, it really adds to the vintage 80s atmosphere.

More like a nightmare. Too complex, too expensive. It's a deadly boondoggle.

This is the worst and most dangerous THING in the sky then and even now. It must be complicated enough to fly a single planecopter let alone trying to contral a dual planecopter. lol
