In this video, I talk about the popular Minecraft UA-camr, Xisumavoid, who is known for Hermitcraft, Minecraft snapshot videos, and other Minecraft content, and discuss the possible reasons of why he has never revealed his face in the past decade. Honestly, I kind of like not having peoples faces. It’s fun to just picture people as their minecraft avatars. With Etho I literally imagine Kakashi playing minecraft. When I picture Mumbo I usually picture I guy with black hair and a magnificent moustache before I picture him IRL. And even if Xisuma eventually does reveal his face. The first thing that comes to mind with him will always be Doom Guy.
Yeah i think it’s also fun to picture people by their avatars. Sometimes when I see a face reveal by someone I watch, my mind can’t comprehend how to picture them from then on lol

@@Juice0633 PearlescentMoon actually did reveal her face. But since she doesn't show her face on videos in Minecraft, people hardly even know how she actually looks like. But you can see her face on streams.

Everyone thinks if they don’t show their face, they will do a face reveal on day. People like Xisuma probably don’t want to be recognized in public, which I fully understand. I hope he’s not doing a face reveal because he’s scared to get hate, but I personally would love him no matter how he looks.

you are forgetting that Zombie Cleo Has never (intentionally) done one as well (to my knowledge) as she was contractually obligated not to for legal reasons regarding her "day job" as a Elementary school teacher. To date, (again AFAIK) she has still not done so.

@@pennym1056 When? And where? As far as I know, she doesn't have a facecam on her streams, she does use a Vtuber avatar tho. And for her Twitter, let's say that I need to sort some things out before I can interact with her Twitter profile again.
And yes, she's no longer a teacher, meaning she would be able to do a face reveal now. But I'm actually pretty sure that she would still want to remain anonymous, because her old students actually still remember her, and she doesn't want to be recognized by her former students. Making a face reveal then doesn't make much sense.
It's called privacy
While I understand curiosity, I don't get why it burns so hard that people care that much over face reveals. Unless you're meeting those revealing their faces in person, it makes no difference. Their content is their content is their brand. Why does it matter what they look like beyond fleeting curiosity?

Xizumavoid doesn't seem to be the type of person who wouldn't show his face. I mean he has showed his body but I think that would be the most we would get. Anyone who wants more either just want to know the person or have malicious intent.

His name is not pronounced "X-suma", it is pronounced "sishwami". Just ask Keralis.

There's no right pronounciation for his nickname. Some people call him shortly X, some people call him Ex-huma, some people call him Xy-suma, Keralis calls him Shashwami. His nickname sounds similar to Chinese language, and latin transcription of Chinese language has this "Xi" sound, that sounds more like "Shi". I'll call him Shisuma I guess. Because Xiaomi is pronounced Shaomi (it's a Chinese cellphone brand, btw), and it's also very similar to name Xiaoma (Shaoma).
When he reveals his face he cant undo it. He has millions of followers and if he reveals it it will be a big hype and lots of people will see it and maybe spot him in public. Also I like that I dont know what he looks like because with some other youtubers that I followed and they showed their face it ruined my image in my head of how I though they looked like. I had this youtuber and I though he was like 30ish and he showed his face and he was like 50ish and it felt awkward to know it.
Why should that make you feel awkward? There's no legal upper limit for playing MC. We're supposed to be mature and inclusive. As segev stormlord says below "Why does it matter what they [youtubers in the case of this thread] look like beyond fleeting curiousity?" What DOES matter is how we treat people in the game and forums, whether we troll or disrespect them, or grief their stuff not their face or their age, surely?

I have two thought to bring out from this video.
One. Imagime Xisuma did so amny face fake reveals, that when he did the real one, we would think it was another fake xD. Just a fun thought.
Two. I bet Xisuma, Etho and others, is just that type of character that enjoyes the fame and influence on the internet, but just likes to have a private life as well, like you kindof said. I can imagine it being like that on other prominent servers, like 2B2T, where legends from that server just enjoyed the times, and have happy memeries for the rest of their life
My dad has a theory that Xisuma is in the UKs version of the Witness Protection Program, and that’s why he doesn’t want to show his face

Im part of the camp that dont want him to do a face reveal, the fact that he hasn't gives a layer of mystique to him, as soon as he would show his face, the mystery is gone, its like with the loch ness monster, its more fun wondering if they are real rather than knowing, because once you know, weres the fun?

Don't ask somebody to face reveal if you haven't done it yourself.
As much as I'm curious how Xisuma, Etho or xB look like, I'd never want to pressure any of them into face revealing. I respect people's privacy, and even if I would be able to recognize them in public by their voice, I'd stay silent about it in a public crowd. If I had a chance to speak to them more in private, then I'd probably be open about it, maybe exchange some words. But I'd never go into such an extreme to reveal their identity online. Not only is that incredibly rude to do so, it's also illegal. And I don't want to be seen as a criminal doxxing someone who wants to remain anonymous. That doesn't fit my values in the slightest.
