Please do more of these! It was cool to see how many people are involved in the design of running shoes. I’d love to see how things like races/routes are designed/organized. Not necessarily a product, but it’s still be fascinating to see!
Enjoyed the peek behind the scenes. I would like to know if they are going to do a wide shoe for road runners at any time soon please? Also, behind the scenes at Garmin for a bit of understanding about their million and one metrics, how they came up with them and how they relate to ordinary recreational runners.
This is really interesting! Thanks Andy and the team at TRC. I’d be interested in a look behind the scenes in a nutrition company, especially isotonic drinks and natural energy bars
Interesting. Given the number of Western companies having their sports shoes manufactured in the East, it would be interesting to see a few documentaries about whose shoes are being made where and by whom.
Thank you very much Andy for sharing this video, i am really impressed by all the People around the manufactoring of a pair of shoe. I really love your video. 😀😀👍
How about going to Salomon or La Sportiva to discuss trail shoes? Their build quality is exceptional, they use roman lasts (for the most part) - which would make for an interesting discussion about fit... and they are quite niche producers. Make a video as near to this one as you can in style though - it was very good!!
Fascinating video, bit concerning if they are building so many running trainers for narrow feet. Would love to see something involving Contra clothing for example behind the scenes or the redevelopment Birmingham Athletics Stadium.
@@runningchannel I’d like to see Nike, Adidas, Brooks, Altra, New Bslance and On be nice to have them all really. I would like to see how the vegan and sustainable ones are made and what each company are doing to help the climate and environment.
Bearing in mind the huge difference between runners of the same foot size, what efforts and design goes into the density of the foam? Surely a 15st runner wearing size 9, compared to an 8st runner in the same shoes will feel massive differences? To soft for the heavier, to hard for the lighter? Should companies offer size and density or is they the idea of the many different models within a brand?
And in spite of all of this amazing technology and hordes of "engineers" with decades of experience, they still cannot figure out how to make a shoe fit a human foot.
I’ve a pair of Decathlon shoes for which I paid £8.99! Lightest shoes I’ve ever worn. Mind you, not much cushioning and not comfortable for long runs, but loads of grip.

Good suggestion Brooke!
Very interesting. Would be nice to see what goest into the making of a sports watch. Thanks Andy!

Thus was great! I'd love to see a behind the scenes of a marquee shoe brand, perhaps Brooks or Saucony. I think the comparison would be really helpful
Thanks Nathan! What shoe brand do you tend to favour?
Got to be Brooks. Would like to know more about sustainability and modern slavery from the top brands - looking at you Nike.

Really interesting more behind the scenes please! Maybe one behind the scenes of marathon lotteries
Thanks for the tour, totally awesome to see how a shoe is produced from sketch to final product 👍👍
Great idea to do this video! The importance of shoes has grown over the years.
Really loved this. Love seeing behind the scenes of brands and products!
Interesting video. I'd be interested in seeing how treadmills made. 🤔🤔
Great suggestion!
It's much less appealing than this video. I've designed both treadmills and footwear.

Very interesting video! Cool to see the amount of work that goes into a pair of shoes.
Brilliant video, very interesting. Thanks Andy
I spent a couple of days working at the BTWIN Village. About four hours into the first day I was told my accent had given someone a headache.
Fascinating video, bit concerning if they are building so many running trainers for narrow feet. Would love to see something involving Contra clothing for example behind the scenes or the redevelopment Birmingham Athletics Stadium.
Whether Decathlon, Brooks or some other brand, I think I will look at them very differently next time I lace up.
Interesting video. Appreciate the processes going on to make the shoes. How about a video on the making or science of plated shoes?
Amazing video from the best running channel
A behind the scenes look at the Altra factory would be great😊
Thanks for the great suggestion!
This one pleased my inner geek 😊
GOOD.. INFORMATIVE.. KEEP IT UP
I’d love to see more of these with different companies
Thanks James! We'll see what we can do! Any particular brands?

Really, really interesting.
Literally searched for a video like this the other day and found nothing and now here it is on my subscribed videos 😂🙌
Hahaha glad we could help Jack! Is there anything else you'd like to know about running shoes?

I am from india
Stopped using Asics in favour of Decathlon
they say that but then their cheap shoes below £50 have no grip or cushioning and are very heavy.

Nice to see, but the design of your bare feet are way way better than the product that is being built :)
Barefoot runners always say that but then they are injured four times a year because they have stepped into something nasty.
Thanks for the feedback Jan 🙂 When did you start barefoot running?
Great insight into how the process works, won't look at my shoes in the same way again!
