This is GOOD ADVICE. Sometimes to achieve similar, i duck the sample with the vocals, so that it always sits on top nicely. Cutting with EQ is equally useful.

That's where one should consider getting their music mix and mastered from the professionals and the artist should focus on creating music. You don't have to know any of this stuff to be able to create great music but releasing it to the world in a standardised format is where you need a mixing and mastering engineer.

google Neutron/Nectar by Izotope- they have an automated intelligence do it it for you. It's their marketing deal. Every other word they says since 2016 is "unmask..unmask..unmask"....

You can do this and a slight vocal side-chain on the sample for that frequency range in FL-Studio as well. You'd use Frequency Spliter or EQ 2 along with Stereo splitter in Patcher. Same results as what's outlined here. Thinking about doing a tutorial or uploading a free patcher preset if there is interest.
