hmmm that's a destructive and tedious way of doing that, instead you can; -go into your mods folder -into the unpacked folder (if it's not there, make it) -then make the folder structure the same as the zip (start with the zip file itself being the name of the root folder) -then take the files you want to modify from the zip, and put it in the appropriate folder -then you can edit things live in game, and hit ctrl+r in game to refresh after every time you save a change in a file when you're done, go into your mods manager in game, and pack the mod, and you give that .zip to anyone who wants it (do not manually zip the folder yourself, as this will confuse beamng, and become a nightmare). If you also want to undo your mod, you can just deactivate it in the mod manager in game too. If you want to modify an existing mod (or one that you've previously packed), don't unzip it to the unpacked folder yourself, use the mods manager in game to "unpack" the mod. If you don't do it this way, beamng can become confused and become a nightmare

That's a good way to keep peoples attention, just have random loud sounds periodically happen so if anyone's attention starts to slip they get jump scared back to attention.

Before you go insane trying to find the "differential" folder which appears at 9:43 for another car in order to access its driveshaft data, keep in mind it might be in the same folder as the car's engine. Such is the case when you attempt to edit the pickup engine, for instance.

This is cool, but my problem is multiplayer. I take pride in having one of the fastest (if not the fastest) non-brain cars in Vanilla BeamMP. I have yet to be beat by any other vanilla tuned car in game. However, I have been beaten by modded cars, either by "illegally" loading mods into a vanilla server, or by modifying game files like this. It's easy to see if you do like me, and keep the power stats open in the UI, because if you switch to their car, and they're beating you with "stock" power levels, you know that it is not vanilla (also, if you spawn a mod, a message will show up in chat saying "*insert name* attempted to spawn an illegal vehicle". And if you call them out on it, they will either (stupidly) deny it, or they will say it's not cheating (in an otherwise vanilla server). And I know that sounds nit picky, but it just really grinds my gears. I constantly race my config, and tweak the suspension or drivetrain in the smallest amounts just to make it even a 10th of a second faster, only to get shit on by some dude who typed "5000" into a text box.
since i discovered how to modify .jbeam, i can't mess arround with them ahahah, i made the 6.0 v8 diesel engine the mos realistic one, with about 1250nw torque, and 410 hp i think, so i can pull that trailer pack... i had also modified the trans. and it's torque converter for using auto...

I am actually working on "Project Mach 1", which is about trying to get a car going supersonic, by using a petrol engine and the Civetta Scintilla. The actual problem is not the engine power, it revs to 45.000 rpm with around 2100 Nm of torque soo... - leads to about ~40.000hp, should be enough 😂. The problem is, that the rims keep exploding, when reaching over 700kph (JESUS! It DOES still do burnouts at this speed! LMAO 😂😂), not my tires, bc I did them indistructable already. I will let you know on my progress, right know I try to get my wheels indistructable, and also the brakes (they keep exploding too, when reaching 700kph).

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but for some reason when i changed the stuff inside the engine of the autobello, when I load the car in in the game the car spawns with no engine... and there's not even like an option for me to put an engine in the car anymore or better yet an engine slot. Like I removed the trunk and there's literally just nothing there. I'm gonna keep troubleshooting to see if I can find my own fix but for now I literally have no idea what I did wrong LOL

I used this tutorial to make an overpowered 6.0L diesel v8 engine, and added two gears to the manual transmission and it does burnouts in 7th gear! 😅

any idea why it wont let me change the values in jbeam for the drive shaft? everything else worked fine.
When ever I tried to edit the files I would save it close out of it and it would just revert back to the normal values
