Why couldn't they make this a movie, in which most of it was regular WWII war film, and then these two are just in it randomly at the most awkward and dramatic times.
I can very vividly recall being stood on the road near the series finish in the 92 tour watched chiappucci and a few minutes later my hero Mr roche then couldn't understand why I hadn't seen greg----half an hour later saw him in the 'laughing group ' though I suspect there wasn't that much laughing going on that day----the largely Italian crowd didn't seem to have much respect after claudio had won and the sheer weight of people on foot seemed to hinder that last group on the road 😢.
Mark Atkin Jim Howick, who was a regular in the first 5 series of Horrible Histories. I'd like to know who played the commandant. (He seems to have watched Philip Madoc's U-boat commander in Dad's Army fairly closely.)
@@paulkennedy8701 He is also in the brilliant British show “Ghosts” which has the cast of Horrible Histories as ghosts from different periods of history existing in the same house with a young couple, one of whom can see them.
Nothing will ever capture the chilling experience of war like armstrong and miller
Fo sure

Great to see lovely Jim Howick as the guard. This is my favourite pilots scetch. Lol
Awesome support cast in this show.
This one is an absolute classic.
Absolutely perfect!
I like how the guy in the back joins in. You don't expect him to say anything but he act like the two pilots.
Tube up his nose, he’s a man with a tube up his nose
They've found a soul mate in the German guard. Or maybe a cell mate..
It must have been so hard for them to remain in character and not break out into Vicky Pollard accent.
Standard!
Cockney Rebel Isn't it
Isn't it though.
D'you know what I'm saying?
I was off school ,my nan died
For them, the war is over and shit. Isn't it?

@@paulkennedy8701 That would be David Armand, I believe.
Thank you, Stan. Yes. That seems to be confirmed by what I can see on IMDB.
The look on the commandant's face when the guard mentions the RAF bloke's rights!
