This guy literally doesn't have a fassade he puts on for the media, it's just all honest answers, what he thinks at that moment. Eddie sits right next to him, he says I know Eddie congratulates me, but inside he is not as happy as it seems. That's just spitting honesty, he doesn't care to sell anything. Usually all prizefighters have some degree of a false fassade, like everybody will say after a decision loss that they tink they won because it's smart to say that usually, unless it's a really really one-sided affair. The scores are 115-113 ofc Canelo will say he thinks that he won even though he knows it is not true, this guy Bivol just doesn't try to put on an act.
What caught my attention was the last part where he talks about people born with power and he says that Canelo was not born with power but he just puts everything he can when he punches. So he knows what's up for the rematch, Bivol will go all in against Canelo.

It's smart. He's one of very few Russian athletes to not have been banned from international sports and he knows that he is fortunate. Sad but true.

@@abyss104 Because I like his personality as it is. I like the way he approached the fight and how he handles the win. He's quite different from a lot of other trash talking posturing fighters. Now he's in the spotlight after this win there will be more pressures on him and it's not easy to keep the same temperament when everything around you changes.
He's a very respectful guy, no bravado at all, he just does his job really well, that's all.
His humor and honesty is a mark of a great champion. He said that Canelo is a true champion in his weight class, but ran out of gas which is true. I respect this fighter and his honesty is his strong point.

@@xoma9377 Your assessment of the scoring is far more accurate than that of the bought and paid for judges. Without appearing too obvious they kept the scoring close to poise another decision steal. Edit: had the rounds not been lopsided they would have definitely given the victory to Canelo.

The loss to Floyd was so long ago as to be almost ephemeral. He will be better from this and so will Dmitry. Like I say, we all won tonight.

I just don't see Canelo beating Bivol in this weight, no matter what the plan or preparation he brings to the table. Bivol is simply better in this weight: natural power, great technique, mobility, speed, strategy. I think that Bivol even knocks down/out Canelo in the next fight. He was full of confidence at the end, knowing that Canelo's power punches don't make him much damage and that he can respond in abundance with more precise and more powerful punches every time he is under attack.
