- Hi guys
after all the work i put into the other set up i had made i ended up binning it and redesigning the hub carriers and wishbones so i can fit a 10 inch wheel if needed and also gives me the option of fitting any size wheel to change the gearing
Whats axles are theres and how are the mounted to your sprocket and brake assembly
nice simple and robust design! also like the idea of using existing car hubs and cv axles.

How does the cv axle connect to the hub with the sprocket and break disk

Sorry for delay the axle is from a Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth the bearing carriers are from the same car and are bolted to the hub the cv axle is secured goes through the bearing carrier and held in place by a single nut .

Hi Mike I made the chain drive myself from a collection of parts ! my main problem was getting the gearing right and I'm sure I ended up using a 12 tooth gear on the engine and 38 tooth for the main drive .

I second what Mike Rayman. I'm having hell with the chain drive diff. Please man could you help me out and maybe give me a list so I can make it as well? I tried doing and mx-5 lsd enclosed and greased with a machined gear.... didn't work I must've done something wrong. I like yours but have no clue how to. Please if you would be so kind

What axle set up are you running?

I used 1990 sierra cosworth driveshafts cut down and sleeved along with the same car bearing carriers and hubs with the 108 offset
I also bought weld on 108 CV adapters from DRD racing www.shop.drdracingproducts.com/108-mm-weld-on-CV-adaptors-108-cv-adpt.htm which i welded to the steel shaft after i had fitted the hub adapters for the 42 tooth sprocket and disc break but i had endless problems with the weld on CV adapters breaking there welds to the steel shaft and was looking into a different set up using a keyed shaft to allow me to not be repairing broken welds and also make it easy to replace worn parts but ended up selling the buggy before i got the chance to upgrade it

do you know where I can find an independent rear axle for a buggy?? (offroad gokart)
try west trike wales they do really nice rear set up's for belt and chain drive

e só usar aro de roda 12 ou 13 infelizmente ficou grande
have a look at my other videos i managed to fit 10 inch wheels by cutting up an old set of cosworth ford discs and welding them to the 10 inch wheel giving me the 108 pcd and the strength in the 10 inch wheel to take the power
