That's why whenever I shop, either in person or online, I basically shop by the price/unit (dollars per 100 grams, per unit, whatever). I never look at the base price, the brand, or anything like that.
I've noticed when a product runs out on a grocery shelf and is gone for a few days, it's a sign that it will be smaller when restocked. That prevents you from comparing sizes.
If snack companies complain about costs going up , so they're giving you less Potato Chips, Pretzels, etc, then why are they still making the bags so big? Can't they SAVE money by making a SMALLER bag?
Would love to see the FRAUD in advertising addressed. Like the burger portrayed as being 6inches tall but when purchased would be large only to toddler! Make them purchase a random burger at the franchise and photograph that!!😡
Shrinkflation doesn't have anything to do with saving on ingredients, the idea is there's less product so that customers have to purchase more frequently shorting the buying cycle thus increasing profits.
the one thing that I first noticed are small tanks of propane ( used in plumbing, etc) ..those things used to last a long time ...and these days they last maybe half as long as they did 5-6 yrs ago
I have a young family we feel all the above! Just like everyone what used to take 80-150 weekly to fill mommas pantry to 300-400 weekly and we didn’t upgrade anything pretty much get the same weekly the wife just showed me the difference in prices just from six months!
Food items should all have to be in measurements. Standard measurements, either metric or imperial. It's 8 oz, 16 oz, not 7.35 oz. Not 13.45 oz. You know what I mean?
I remember when ice cream went from half gallon containers to whatever goofy size it is now. I don't know if that was shrinkflation, a metric thing or a push for people to eat less ice cream. Also, Girl Scout cookies have been comically reducing the amount of cookies in the package for years while also raising the prices astronomically. They are able to hide behind the "it's for the kids".

This channel is so dmn good! Please find a way to get more viewers! On this topic, one that's real bad is an ingredient label not listing the percentages of the ingredients. For "sprouted" bread, the first ingredient is typically "sprouted wheat berries", but then the next is sometimes "wheat flour". The buyer doesn't know how much of the bread is even sprouted. The amount of regular wheat flour could be nearly as much as sprouted flour, and this is an important product for people with digestive issues and the people running the companies just do not care. The purposes of creating a corporation are dark. Once a group of people cross that threshold, they view themselves as having limited liability, and as just people holding an asset class with the sole purpose of making money.
I bought breaded chicken strips last week that I noticed didn't have the usual 18 pieces. I counted 16. I weighed the bag on my kitchen scale and it was 4 ozs less than the printed weight on the bag.
Hi guys 😎i have to give you credit the subjects that you abort on that podcast are very interesting and by the way i am watching you from MOROCCO right now 😇
Seems like most people forgot how to do math. YOu can figure out how much per ounce you are paying and find the best price. Some stores do this for you.
This feels like an episode of Seinfeld: George being enraged at shrinkflation and getting back at the stores with the help of Kramer. 😂
The cereal boxes are so thin that they tip over on the shelves.

Smart. Not that hard.
"Check out our new coffee can design, now with a convenient handle molded in!"
Check out the net volume is five ounces less.

Bananas have three stages. Yellow it is starchy, brown spots is a sign it's turning to sugar. All brown it's time to make banana nut bread.

Screw consumer protection. Just pay some damned attention. Look for the price per... apples to apples.

What do kids know about selling cookies anyway? I go to the cookie experts… elves.
Don’t forget that ice cream is so easy to make!!!
not making electrical wire to the proper gauge is dangerous ...those are designs for specific electrical loads
Interesting watch as always.

That is a beautiful painting he has
Consumers hate this one simple trick.

I always compare the product weight.

It's happening everywhere. You're not alone!
I don't buy any product that I can't see inside the package.

I once saw Jason eat a candy bar out of the trash LOL
I believe it was a eclair
Yes eclair! @delacruztaylor
And if you buy enough to equal the original it costs way more.
debasement starts with the government debasing the money.
Just ate a sub and my uncle was saying whats the word for that (sub was smaller). Had no idea! Boom what are yhe odds lol.
I saw in the news that everything is ok and this kind of news are misinformation
Pretty solid evidence for socialism
