  • We took an automatic pole holder out to Wolford mountain reservoir to see how or if it worked. We were using Berkley orange power bait. Of course, just to give a little competition we were fishing with Panther martin spinner at the same time. I was a little surprised when the spring went off and even more so to find that it had snagged a rainbow trout.

Just recieved a set of these I had ordered. Can't wait to give them a try. Hoping the metal is hard enough to prevent mushrooming and bending while driving in rocky soil.

Seems like the shaft is sturdy enough. Knock on wood!!! Have a great season!

I was at the 3rd access point going northwest out of kremmling. The first access point is the dam. It is free. Second is a day use area. (That was 10 dollars) and the 3rd had a bit of a hike to the water. But it was free. Good luck!

Is there a way to adjust the amount of weight it takes to spring the automatic pole holder? Great video, keep it up!!!

There are several notches on the trigger. The further up you go the more pull is required to set it off. I had it set at the end for maximum sensitivity.

Would this work on faster currents of water? I’ve been thinking about it but never fully gone thru it. It looks so fun haha.

It might handle a little current, but to much current would set the trigger off.
