I know exactly how you feel. My Mum passed away 15 years ago and, ironically, it’s her birthday today. We had booked to see Il Divo well in advance of her untimely passing and it was a sad an ironic twist of fate that the concert was the night before her funeral. We had always said that Mama would be played at her funeral and so you can imagine the emotion when it was also played the night before….but live. I cant watch this video without crying and it’s the particular section where Carlos takes over that really sets me off. His ‘cry’ out was exactly how I felt when Mum went….and it’s so sad that I will never get to see him sing it live again. But we’ve always got this video to keep the memory alive.

Rose theater, Portland Oregon, February 14, 2004. My mom had tragically died in a medical mistake a couple months previously. My husband planned this trip across country to see IL DIVO with front row seats. Oh my gosh! Indescribable wonderful concert however, when IL DIVO began to sing this beautiful song, I kept my smile but a waterfall of tears began to fall as I struggled not to sob aloud …..I am sure the sight of me was frightening…😂. as the group individually quit looking at me as they continued their concert. The music and the voices were straight from Heaven. Quite a few years later we attended a meet and greet with IL Divo at the Rosemont theater in Chicago. Wonderful , gracious talented men. Received from them many great gifts that we will always treasure. Will always deeply appreciate and care about David, Carlos, Sebastian , and Urs…. We are so very sorry for the loss of Carlos…. keep singing guys….✝️💕

I have been listening to this so much today. My mum passed away last night aged only 63, it is such a hard time. The song captures so much emotion and fits the situation so well. I have been living abroad for the past 15 years, so lots of time where I only saw her twice or three times a year. Hadn't seen her in almost two years now cause of the pandemic and now I'll never get to see her again. Life will never be the same with this big void and my heart is broken and shattered :*-(
