Bhai first and for most Genetics, second is diet which should be rich in protein.
When I had patchy beard, I use to shave it all even the part where I don't grow, because there is small facial hair which is not seen, and whenever you shave the opposite side where the beard grows more, it gets hard and thick with time.
I treat my beard, like my hair, I shampoo and apply oil.

If your beard is patchy further up, bring the line down the cheek and keep edges sharp. There's a sweet spot between stubble and a beard that will make patches look less noticeable.
Patchy Goatee is the best style for patchy beard. Example: Johnny depp style.

Ideally Gillette advises to change blades after 5-7 shave, but this is just a general rule and it actually comes down more to the thickness and density of your facial hair. As a general rule, the thicker and denser your hair, the faster your blade will wear out and need replacing.
I change blades after every 10 shaves because I use Gillette Fusion 5, which is one of the best, especially meant for thick and dense beard.

To be honest, dosra brand maine try b nahi kia so don't know much about it.
