In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Absolutely elated to find this video! As a young flute player living in the US, fascinated by Irish music and classically trained through college, Tom Doorley was my hero throughout. Tom, you remain the most technically proficient, and simultaneously most emotionally engaging flute player I have ever heard. You and Danu made my youth magical. I write books now, and a lot of those stories I owe to you guys. Independence Hornpipe was the first tune I sat and listened to a thousand times until I could repeat it. I must have been twelve when I found your first CD. Thanks a million, your tunes shaped my adolescence.

I like the way the independence hornpipe gets faster at the end in anticipation of the reel that follows.
