Solar Panels - How Much Power Can You Expect?

  • My experience from over the last year of how much power you can expect from your solar setup depending on weather, hardware and other factors.
    Admittedly, some of this might seem obvious to those of you who have been using solar for a while but if you're totally new to solar, this will hopefully give you an idea of what to expect so you know that you might not have a faulty panel.

    NOTE: The Elecaenta panel I discussed in the video is actually a 120W panel, not 100W as I mentioned. It's still a very handy panel but this does put it down on the 75% mark for efficiency.

    7:30 ish... I have actually seen over 100%, after a cloudy morning, when the sun comes out really bright. I've been doing off-grid solar for about 30 years, and this was the highest I've seen. VERY rare event, though!
