I have lost my husband and my son. I was depressed for YEARS! Finally a therapist told me ever time I think of them, think about a time when we were happy. Recall the memories as much as possible and remember them in that way instead of the day they died. It helped me a lot.

Ann Rule & Bundy had an 18 year friendship, she even wrote a book on the subject called "The Stranger beside Me." Ann Rule visited Bundy in prison as well. Of course he lied to Rule about the charges against him because her opinion of him was extremely important too him.

It takes the perfect "soil" to grow a serial killer. You have to have many specific factors at play. Not just a bad childhood. If Jack Nicholson isn't killing ppl it's because he didn't have enough factors. It has to be a perfect combination of nature and nurture. I get so tired of these idiots who say "I had a bad childhood and I'm ok." That just means you didn't have all the factors, idiot. 😒

u know something is wrong with some women to adore a serial killer, or people in the media calling him the night stalker instead of small pp killer.. smh
Edit: also i think death penalties should be harsher for killers who leave deep wounds & scars people and families' lives. They sit like 20-30 years on death row until they die without serving their penalty. When u set an example to people, there is a good chance that it'll raise some awarness & kinda some "fear" in people who think of committing crimes and taking people's lives. Nowadays going to jail for life is at some point in time normal to that person serving the penalty, they eat, sleep without having to work etc (like earn their living) they live a kind of a peaceful life just without freedom nor seeing the outside world.

Get under their skin -- challenge their "masculinity"/"dominance". 💯
Anger is comparable to a "curve ball"..
Get them out of their "comfort zone".
They can only maintain their composure for so long, especially with anger.

Most of what I say next applies to those with the most extreme version of your condition: thank you all for not following in their footsteps.)
The only one who might not have been was Dahmer: sociopath, yes, psychopath, no: he only scored a 22 on the Hare checklist. In the UK you have to hit a solid 25 and in the US it would be a 30. Bundy got one of the highest scores in history and I am pretty sure Manson would be another that would have been a higher scorer. Aileen Wuoronos hit a solid 32. If you are going to be alone in a cell with somebody like Bundy, it would be best to know what is going on upstairs with him and also to be a man: a female criminal psychologist would be just as capable, but she would have to remember at all times that he did not get into a Florida prison for nothing and that his real body count was likely much higher. NEARLY ALL WERE FEMALE. He would more likely to try to toy with you and he is bigger than you and dominance and control were his THING. Humiliating him would be a very dangerous tactic for a woman to take, especially alone.

For what reason why most people do NOT resort to killing people when rejected is probably the very reason that these unstable people DO kill others. With so many serial killers that have been caught, I've always wondered why these documentaries always cover the same ones over and over.... Smaller channels have information about people that i never even heard of

I'm getting a lil off topic with my comment/question...but WHY do women get all snail trail when it comes to serial killers?!!! I did catch that guys' analogy of why women are attracted to serial killers...but there's got to be more to it than "a moth being able to fly as close as it can to the flame without getting burned!" What is the deep psychological pattern of this enigma?!?! I need to know!
