You don't "stroke the ego" of a psychopath. Get under their skin -- challenge their "masculinity"/"dominance". 💯 Anger is comparable to a "curve ball".. Get them out of their "comfort zone". They can only maintain their composure for so long, especially with anger. Playing to their ego -- that can go on forever with unnecessary manipulation tactics. (I wouldn't have the patience for that.. rather hit them where it hurts, so to speak) 💯
One problem: sometimes that anger can be explosive. You do not want a situation where the tactic backfires and the psychopath gets his hands on something he can use as a weapon. You will wind up dead before you get anywhere.

Most of what I say next applies to those with the most extreme version of your condition: thank you all for not following in their footsteps.) The only one who might not have been was Dahmer: sociopath, yes, psychopath, no: he only scored a 22 on the Hare checklist. In the UK you have to hit a solid 25 and in the US it would be a 30. Bundy got one of the highest scores in history and I am pretty sure Manson would be another that would have been a higher scorer. Aileen Wuoronos hit a solid 32. If you are going to be alone in a cell with somebody like Bundy, it would be best to know what is going on upstairs with him and also to be a man: a female criminal psychologist would be just as capable, but she would have to remember at all times that he did not get into a Florida prison for nothing and that his real body count was likely much higher. NEARLY ALL WERE FEMALE. He would more likely to try to toy with you and he is bigger than you and dominance and control were his THING. Humiliating him would be a very dangerous tactic for a woman to take, especially alone.

i am totally on his side until rhe point where he rekindles his relation wirh the woman who dumped him a few years earlier..i even agree that he dumped her but cannot see what lead to the sudden change of his personality.....beats me, because ut happened to fast
It does bother me the woman who got away watched the trial on tv and was so upset at how arrogant he was but she didn’t give testimony. That passive leave me out of it attitude helps contribute to other women being killed.
He was such an intelligent person that could've made a positive influence on people ,but just decided to go the opposite route. It's so sad. Ted Bundy was just a sick individual
The woman who got away 30 years ago should be ashamed of herself for not providing info to help with arrest. Soo many women would've been saved if she at least provided a description. I hope she asks whomever she worships for forgiveness. God Bless
Me too! I imagined him chasing his shadow in play! And of course the never growing up thing which is somewhat true...thanks to Richard Ramírez...Peter Pan will be the age he was when Ramírez entered their home...perpetually.
I realize and have no problem accepting Bundy as the worst of the worst, but I feel that more could have been learned from him- finding why he can snap from nice guy to heinous murder..Did he even have a conscious mind during his " nice " time? I know he had none as he did what he did..
He was never nice. There is actually a fair amount of information out on this now, people like Bundy, Ramirez and Dahmer likely have differences or damage in their brains, then you add trauma in the mix and it basically unleashes some seriously sick people. A lot of people have these differences in their brain (underactive frontal lobe, shrunken amygdala) but due to their secure upbringing, haven't grown to do anything untoward or devious.
The funny thing is she didn’t go to court to testify for some ridiculous reason Smt is off bout her story .. No one is there to say she’s telling the truth,it’s only her words
She definitely made the story up.. I can see why she would never testify due to her being a mormon and probably was scared of her family or people’s reactions ( she was a virgin before meeting Bundy as she claims). Although, something just doesn’t add up. No disrecpect to her but she doesn’t look like the type he would target ( due to lack of attractiveness, sorry ) and Bundy insisted that he never talked or had conversations with any of his victims before killing because that would make him view them as human beings rather than just objects
Not sure if I’m recalling this correctly but I thought Rhonda gave a different story on another video?? I thought she said she was handcuffed but got away and ran to a road where a car picked her up.
Bundy cruised through my area when I was a kid. He delivered papers. A little girl disappeared and has never been seen since. Then a friend of mine was at the sorority house when he struck. She didn't get killed or hurt. She's never gotten over it being so close to her though. I've always wondered what he pulled working on the crisis line beside Ann rule. How many vulnerable people did he sink his claws into that called into that line? I'll never forget that look on keppels face when Ted tried to play let's make a deal on death row with him. He offered to give more details about bodies not found yet. The cop knew Ted was trying to play him and would string him along. He just grinned and shook his head. That last night interview you could see Ted was terrified. It's a true shame Ted didn't suffer more. He deserved it.
I've never heard of Rhonda, only Carol. His killings were on the news constantly. I think Rhonda's story is bogus, honestly. If Carol spoke up, I don't buy Rhonda's story of saying nothing for 30 years. Just wanted money.
It's strange to think that if it had been summer when Ted Bundy reached Ann Arbor he might be alive right now. John Norman Collins is still moldering away in prison for crimes from the same era.

Obviously Bundy was guilty as sin, but using bitemarks as evidence, yeesh. They are notoriously unreliable. Experts can't even agree on whether something IS a bitemark let alone if it's from the same person.
Depends on the quality of the bite impression whether it can be proven to be a bitemark. But , yes, know we know it can only be used to exclude a suspect, not definitevly prove a match. The snaggletooth killer was convicted on bite impressions and he was innocent. Very interesting case of false conviction if you're interested, or maybe you already know about it.

No his wife wasn't killed. She left him after the attack, because he was disabled. And didn't want to spend her life in her eyes taking care of him. She may be dead now, but then she left him when he needed her most. In his weakest most vulnerable moment even as she was recovering.
His first victim was 8 yr old Anne Marie Burr. He denies it but he knew her, lived near her and footprints outside her house belonged to a small man or teenager. He was 14. yr old Ann Marie

Bundy was way less remarkable than they gave him credit for. he was sloppy and very lucky with escapes. Also he was not at all smart to go on a wild rampage in Florida with the death penalty. he got the electric chair, too bad it cost so much to get it done.
You know what a REAL mystery is? How "amateur" UA-camrs like That Chapter can produce true crime videos that are 10x less cringeworthy than the "professional" documentaries. I mean, how can anyone enjoy hearing about a serial killer without several supremely clueless "experts" making pronouncements with absolutely certainty? They see into the killers' motivations and actions with complete clarity. They scoff at the idiot police and witnesses who were so easily fooled by the things painfully obvious to them.
The Night Stalker is another one. Who they make excuses for. I hate it. He was proud of his uncle did. He was a born killer . Think about the phone he tortured. I imagine they would care less about how he grew up.

For what reason why most people do NOT resort to killing people when rejected is probably the very reason that these unstable people DO kill others. Did YOU figure it out?!?! No, you didn't...so don't b*tch & moan about someone else figuring it out. That man has every right to be proud. How many serial killers have YOU brought to justice? I'm guessing zero...just be glad that Bundy was finally taken out & give praise where praise is due. You wouldn't like it if you made an epiphany, monumental, eureka accomplishment & instead of getting praise you get put down by a superfluous person that has never even come close to one of those accomplishments, would you?
Wouldn't you be a little proud if you caught a serial killer?
But noone else did he did it
Yeah, I can't listen to him talk for long
For some reason The night stalker scared me to this day. I was no where near California. But I think it was because he broke in there homes and had no preference of what age or e they looked like. Also he didn't care if they killed him. But it took me along time to watch this.

Why is it ok for these serial killers to take a life?, but wanna fight for their own life? Like their life is more important then the innocent lives they take.... Total Narcissism.
IKR. These same twists who think they are 'gods' to mangle, mess, murder children, innocents, weak people then turn around and cry that the cuffs are too tight, the cells too small, inhumane prison situations, inadequate rations yet they were inhumane, brutal, vicious, in destroying other peoples lives and bodies with not a thought. The victims were tougher, stronger and had more dignity then the pathetic empty things these 'gods' are.
I grew up in Tallahassee. My aunt lived in the same dorm on College Ave., in the same room as Bundy's victim, the semester before.
It was my friend Rick's VW Bug that Bundy stole and was caught in and arrested for his crimes.
Woah, that’s INSANE!
I’m glad your aunt is ok, but if I had lived there a year prior, I’m sure it would have messed with my mind a bit.
And if you think about it, him getting pulled over all the time, what they said in the Netflix documentary was true- he was a terrible driver.

You don't "stroke the ego" of a psychopath.
Get under their skin -- challenge their "masculinity"/"dominance". 💯
Anger is comparable to a "curve ball"..
Get them out of their "comfort zone".
They can only maintain their composure for so long, especially with anger.
Playing to their ego -- that can go on forever with unnecessary manipulation tactics. (I wouldn't have the patience for that.. rather hit them where it hurts, so to speak) 💯
Why tf would you get under the skin of a psychopath … women do not listen to this idiot
One problem: sometimes that anger can be explosive. You do not want a situation where the tactic backfires and the psychopath gets his hands on something he can use as a weapon. You will wind up dead before you get anywhere.
There is no right way to deal with a psychopath. (First you'd have to know that's who you're dealing with, which is not easy)
@@pickledragonrebel In a jail cell, there is a fighting chance. ASPD is very common among criminals. ( Not trying to offend those who quietly sit at home minding their own business: at best, you are mildly misanthropic by clinical standards. Go back to your online Scrabble game with my blessings; yes I am aware that there are actually a sizeable amount of you that just want to be left alone. Most of what I say next applies to those with the most extreme version of your condition: thank you all for not following in their footsteps.)
The only one who might not have been was Dahmer: sociopath, yes, psychopath, no: he only scored a 22 on the Hare checklist.
@@marykatherinegoode2773 wow. You're really nasty. What's your problem? (BTW, never played a game on my phone once in my life)
That doctor trying to say there is a correlation between smoking cannabis and the things Ramirez did was pretty silly.

Ok...Ken is lying, right? The part about him going to Ted's jail cell and saying he knew why Ted did all that stuff? Why is he just revealing that now? And back in the 70's would he really have enough info on Ted to be able to reach that conclusion?

It does bother me the woman who got away watched the trial on tv and was so upset at how arrogant he was but she didn’t give testimony. That passive leave me out of it attitude helps contribute to other women being killed.
It’s the same with the victims of Weinstein who kept quiet out of fear of their careers or because they got paid off
He was such an intelligent person that could've made a positive influence on people ,but just decided to go the opposite route. It's so sad. Ted Bundy was just a sick individual
More like just plain evil…..
It may one wonder why they didn’t do better at keeping him in jail it’s sad to see how sorry the police where
Because he was educated and studied law.
Does Ken not know what a chameleon does? "He could strike like a chameleon"😂
You are a very good videographer.😍
This is a network program
The woman who got away 30 years ago should be ashamed of herself for not providing info to help with arrest. Soo many women would've been saved if she at least provided a description. I hope she asks whomever she worships for forgiveness. God Bless
My favorite comment came from the Sheriff who got Ted's bite mark; " Some suffered and lived, thank God".
I died😂 when they said Barbara and Peter Pan !!!
That lady who said she survived Bundy, how do we know she’s not just making it up to sell a book? 😮
The funny thing is she didn’t go to court to testify for some ridiculous reason
Smt is off bout her story ..
I think that was Carol something.
That was Carol DaRonch

It's strange to think that if it had been summer when Ted Bundy reached Ann Arbor he might be alive right now. John Norman Collins is still moldering away in prison for crimes from the same era.
I live about 45 minutes from the area John Collins operated. At 1 time, I lived around the corner from the cemetery they found one of his victims.

Damn Peter Pan was killed by a lost boy. I guess there were no happy little thoughts to be had. Funny how Richard says 'see you in Disneyland' lmao I guess Peter Pan won't be in attendance
What I don't get is why did they let him live so many years on death row and to go out the way any normal person can . He was in control til the very end ..... Not right at all . They should of let the families of the victims have a part in his life ending .
Oddly enough, bite impressions are considered bunk science now....
Obviously Bundy was guilty as sin, but using bitemarks as evidence, yeesh. They are notoriously unreliable. Experts can't even agree on whether something IS a bitemark let alone if it's from the same person.
Yeah but not at the time the didn't know how unreliable they were. I feel bad for the wrongfully convicted with bitemark analysis evidence

You're absolutely right. Luckily Bundy admitted to it, because bite mark evidence was considered reliable at the time.

Describing what their background is isn’t making an excuse for them, it’s just background knowledge plain & simple.
Reasons are not excuses.
I’m seeing a strong pattern of past rejection in Bundy Gacy Kemper & Dahmer….many other serial killers. For what reason why most people do NOT resort to killing people when rejected is probably the very reason that these unstable people DO kill others. There’s a certain factor that makes them more likely to kill thaN most of us don’t tie into. The psychological sciences are fascinating…a field of study that needs more advancements in order to preempt this horrifying phenomenon.
There's a big correlation between them and mommy issues.
Can't believe the law had a man in custody of rape kidnapping and excaped and killed 4 girls hope the people who let him get away where sued buy family
With so many serial killers that have been caught, I've always wondered why these documentaries always cover the same ones over and over.... Smaller channels have information about people that i never even heard of
I'm getting a lil off topic with my comment/question...but WHY do women get all snail trail when it comes to serial killers?!!! I did catch that guys' analogy of why women are attracted to serial killers...but there's got to be more to it than "a moth being able to fly as close as it can to the flame without getting burned!" What is the deep psychological pattern of this enigma?!?! I need to know!
If that woman would have turned him in, there are no telling how many lives she could have saved!!!!
Police were prone to not believing women. So, there were many factors the could be different that would save lives.
