@@absoluteelectronix7991 you are right about that amount of subs.... but regarding prefab boxes, they are built today by former box builders... I know a guy with $700 custom box same design as the prefab and I promise you it didn't sound any different than the custom box.... it's all about what you're after..
I've been involved in car audio for 30 years and have constructed numerous speaker enclosures. Sometimes a pre-made enclosure is not suitable, as is the case with Audiomobile subwoofers. They require significantly less airspace compared to regular subwoofers. Additionally, they also provide a passive radiator option, in which case a pre-made enclosure would be excessively large.
@@absoluteelectronix7991 I have been in car audio for over 20yrs. Yes, you have a point but are trying to say prefab boxes are not good? They were trash back in the 90s. Today they are built solid. Good quality. Are you saying bobby Gately prefab boxes are not good? Adire audio? Just to name a few.... I know one thing for sure, I will never spend$700-1200 on a custom box again. Especially when I'm not competing and my system is my personal system.( SQL audiophile) If I competed and wanted to find what frequency plays the loudest in my car, than I would tuned my box for that frequency (custom).... Nice chatting with you bro.
That Camry Is going to be a fun build!!!!
Wow, that HD got a working saw....😮
Amazing craftsmanship. Hopefully there is a part 2 to this video where you finish it off!
Pls. show once you've finished it👍🏼👍🏼
Would love to see a cars and coffee video!
Great video! Looking forward for next part!
IMO, I feel it's no need for a custom box unless you are competing and want to show it off.
Orrrrrr you have a significant amount of subwoofers that you can’t get an off the shelf box for.
