Paint a Vivid Seaside Sunset in Watercolour

- Join me to paint a stylised sunset in rich colours. I create a simple way to paint complex clouds over a reflective sea that allows you to play with all the lovely colours of a sunset sky. I hope you enjoy painting this.
This project is part of my season of art tutorials themed around the shoreline. These projects are for personal use only. Please do not sell any work copied exactly from my tutorials (though taking inspiration and developing it your own way is always encouraged!) and please credit me if you post work online that you've made from following a tutorial or using my downloadable line work.

I love the bold use of colour in this painting, Lou, just perfect for the height of summer. It's also perfect as I love abstract and stylised art much more than representational art, (just take a photo), and I am obsessed with the sea. I love the way you have created the billowing cloud forms, too. I'm also keen to paint a version of this in greens and turquoise blues, just to see the contrast in the end result using a cool palette. Thank you for sharing this. I love your style and the way you explain everything so thoroughly. Your videos make it so easy to paint and learn alongside you as you work.

I shall have to give this a go! A friend of mine was so very kind and sent me an enormous block of Arches paper last month so I made my own WC journal. I intend to only use it for UA-cam tutorials. I am new to your channel and so far have done several of your projects! I am not new to WC, but I am aiming to be more precise and a wee bit less abstract. So far, it has been enormous fun! I am a perfectionist and I struggle with letting go. Slowly, I am becoming more free with my style. Thank you for this tutorial! I love how you lay your tools out and explain everything you're using. That way, if we don't have the exact tools, we can substitute easily. I appreciate you! I am especially enjoying your paintings of buildings.
