  • Chasing the visiting woodburners from Nevada, 4-4-0 Eureka and 2-6-0 Glenbrook, from Antonito up to Big Horn and Osier during the 2021 Victorian Iron Horse Steam Roundup on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Also features footage of the newly restored D&RGW 168 and backdated 425 (originally 315).
    Important note: all ground-level shots filmed remotely near or beneath the tracks and ties were obtained with permission, coordinated in a safe manner, and secured properly. Always film responsibly when near heavy equipment.

    Is this the only original steam trains that is still using coal/woods in america that is not converted to fuel?

      I don't know if they're the only ones, but I've seen an interview with Eureka's owner and restorer. She was converted to oil burning back in the day, but he brought her back to wood as part of the restoration.

      A lot of locos in the US still use coal/wood like along with the engines at the CRRM, Frisch 1630 at the Illinois Railway Museum still burns coal along with a few others that I don’t know of
