Beware of the wires to the rear hatch. The insulation degrades on the wires inside the rubber sleeve between the body and door. They will short against each other or just break off.

Sir am Winstone in Zambia / Africa. How do I do contact you? Am looking for a Body control module for Fiat Coupe 1996 model.

Attempting to do this on 2013 Fiat Lounge. Up to the point of removing the BCM everything was spot on. Did find a third T30 up in a very tight location in the top right. After that, I found that the plastic BCM case was held into the metal bracket by pressure of the bracket on the lower right side. Popped that loose with a screw driver. That's where I'm hung up now. Not sure if the Lounge is set up different than the Pop but I don't seem to have any wiggle room to pull the BCM out. I've got the steering gear as mentioned on the top left and I've also got an airbag on the lower front. Don't want to break things. Is there anyone who can guide me through removal from this point? TIA

Ok just got it out. The module needs to be pushed out the back in order for the top bolt holes/tabs to clear. When you try to push it out the back the harness will be in the way. Move the harness towards the driver around the bracket. It should be just enough room.. Pull on the metal tab on the bracket. Then you will have to play around with the bcm to get it to clear, and be able to be removed from the front of the metal bracket. You must pull on the metal tab during all of this finagling. Take your time. Done break anything. Its a real pain. Your hands will get scrapped up. I sat laying across the passenger and driver side to get the right angle to do all of this.

@@majurbludd Thanks for the assist. Wishing you well with your fix. Finding either I'm not following instructions very well or I'm up against a different challenge. The car I'm working on is a Lounge. It has an airbag it appears below the steering column and this one also has a manual transmission. That clutch pedal is really limiting my getting behind the BCM to release those back two connectors. Is there some other step I need to do to get more room to access and then pull the BCM out?

wound up bending that metal bracket that holds BCM right side. Hoping bending it back works when the time comes.

@@jonathanmosal1995 were you able to put it back together after bending the metal plate to get it out?
