In this video, I demonstrate the Single Plane Golf Swing with every club from Wedge to Driver from both Face-on and Down-the-Line angles. I asls discuss my concept of Full Range.
About the Single Plane Golf Swing
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.
I just got back from the range where i was hitting wedges at a 50 yard green and a fellow golfer complimented me on my "nice short swing"..Thanks Todd!!
What happens to me is that those people watching my ball flights start to widen their stances and straighten their arms ...

In regards to correct ball positioned, why do you adjust your stance width to achieve this? Why not just maintain the same stance width but position the ball further back as your shafts get shorter?
Other than ball position, what are the pros and cons of a wide or narrow stance width?

The ball never moves position.
Any coach that tells you to move the ball back/forward depending on club hasnt got a clue
The ball is inside lead heel about 1 club head width away and the longer the club the wider you make your stance (by moving your trail foot away)

So if you're using a 9iron, the ball is off your lead foot by 3-4 inches, if you switch to a 5 iron, the ball remains in the same point but your lead foot moves further back creating a wider stance

just found this channel. this seems to make sense. pretty amazing. how long would you say it takes to learn this single plane swing? also, just curious, but what is your handicap with this type of swing? do you break 70? 80? consistently?
Practicing correctly, it would take a few months to get a solid foundation of the Single Plane Swing. As far as my ability, I break par consistently.

I started watching and decided to try this about 6 weeks ago. (26 handicap) I've just shot a personal best of 85 today (+14), on a course I rarely break 100 on!

What would have been fun to see, using different balls (especially colour or designation etc.) for each club and then walking out to pick them up showing where they landed... :)

I had same issue. Wasn’t getting into my lead leg like moe before upper body fires. If you’re too quick in transition it can lead to thin hits. Lots of reasons but that was my issue. Thought I would share

This video was really helpful. It was like getting "brain reps" in for me showing what I should be doing
I am.strugging big time hitting my seven iron and five iron consistently. I have a problem lifting my head up. Any advice how to stay down during the swing.
Try telling yourself you don't want to see the ball in the air
A "shot tracer" would really help show the different club distances.
Will do shot tracer on next range session.
