I'm glad to see for earbuds people are now more often stating the in-call controls. For some persons the mute, volume, sidetone/ANC, and hold options are still features of the earbuds and are still part of the consideration
Already got my earbuds, Bose Ultra Open, exxy but a perfect form factor for me (ear loops are just too uncomfortable for me with my specs), I just stopped by to see today's anagram and say hi to my favourite bud reviewers.
I'm buying them for the fit. I can't really find anything else with comparable features that lock into place like the A Series, which is something I need.
You make a great point about the price i mean is the overall performance better than the OnePlus Buds 3 pro? Midrange earbuds seem to be the sweet spot these days. Thanks guys for all of the info and work you put in your reviews. 💯🔥🇺🇸
There is a big EQ difference for me with the Pixel Buds Pro 2 when I switch the ANC or Transparency. The sound is way thinner in these modes. Anyone else?
Still one of the nice perks of Google products are updates. If they can improve anything through software you can be sure to experience it through a feature drop 👍
This sounds like a nice set of upgrades in fit, transparency & ANC. _But_ I hope they fix that mic performance via firmware, immediately. (Also, Gemini ... meh)
I use the Buds now for several hours. The sound is horrible for me, white noise with ANC like you told with a warm and bassy sound, Without ANC no bass is available, so boring sound the EQ does not realy changes something. Not testet phonecalls, hope this is not so like in your video because i also use a S24Ultra. Probably I try to send them back.
Love you guys reviews and the Pixel Buds Pro 2 have some impressive features and appear to extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time (a big selling point for me). However, both the sound quality and the call quality, is questionable and that price is just too g..dmn high as Flossy Carter would say! 😆.The competition is just too stiff these days. I like what Bose did with their new Comfort Buds, especially lowering the price to $179.00. I think they will sell a ton of those at that price.
Tough call to make. I was really waiting for these but I'm not sure they beat my Huawei Freebuds Pro 3. (do they?) When you wear one bud only, press and hold is gonna be what's dedicated to that bud? So might lose ANC toggle wearing the right bud?
How is the call quality compared to the first generation pixel buds pro? It seems that i hev never had trouble in calls but here you show that practically you cannot use them for taking calls
@@htzionis all of the call enhancing features only work in calls. so these audio tests can't really show it, cause they only record the audio via recorder, not during a call

I have 2 pairs of the first pros my biggest complaint is 1) They aren't very loud unless you listen to them at max. 2) They also don't seal in your ear and I find that uncomfortable. Considering you can't trade in the first version for any credit I will prob skip these considering how bad the first is.
@@ukki578I get good volume for me at between 40 and 50% volume. The first pros I had up to like 80% or so and still didn't get good sound because of the poor fit. These are *much* better
Very much like there is an Apple-tax there is also a Google-tax. When I listened to to Pixel Buds Pro, they didn't sound too different from the Pixel A Buds; ANC did make a slight difference. However, compared to the more budget brands they weren't any better; the Earfun Air Pro 3 and the Liberty 4 NC have better sound and better ANC. All this to say that Google has to either improve performance or they have to lower their prices. Currently, their buds don't compete, even below their price point.
Great review thanks. So Apple is creating ANC on an open ear bud, superb voice isolation, customised HRTF spatial audio, adaptive ANC and google is doing.... this? They really need to headhunt some of Apple's audio department, not good enough if they want to charge £250 in 2024
The microphone tests on the early reviews for this product are not accurate. The call quality is much better than presented. It's good. Not airpod pro 2 level but definitely solid

I had the same thoughts but after trying them out they actually sound good. The quality of the drivers and tuning are superior than codec alone. I tried a $70 buds with LDAC which sounds decent but can only get far with sucky hardware. Besides, these buds support LE audio (energy efficient and improves sound quality) I'll take that over LDAC which consumes a lot of power for both the buds and the phone. I learned my lesson. There's a reason why these buds cost a lot along with Airpods.
Well geez, I have these earbuds on pre-order but after hearing the phone call review and the sound quality review I'm considering canceling my pre-order. I am an owner of the pixel buds pro and the sound quality and the call quality weren't great on those. I was just using those earbuds for the technology with the assistant. It appears that they are going the way of trying to incorporate Gemini and that seemingly is the great difference between the buds pro and the buds pro too. They removed the touch and hold to hear your notifications feature from the buds pro and I'm assuming because they want people to buy the new buds with the Gemini. I think that's kind of cheap. It doesn't sound like Google did much to improve these earbuds other than the physical appearance and Gemini.
I understand you are rating the features. But... Sound quality and phone call quality are THE primary features they are meant to deliver. I have mine for a few days and they fail on both miserably. My other earbuds are Bose Ultra. They fail on phone calls but (when they get to connect and stay connected) music quality on them is great. On Pixels it is flat, tinny and just disappointing. I would recommend listening to them first before you buy them. And compare to quality sound ones. Variance is immense and immediately audible.
Honestly, I don't know why, but I expected a lot from these Pixel Buds Pro 2 especially in terms of the quality of phone calls in noisy and windy environments, and the more I think about it, the more I wonder why I expected so much from these Pixel Buds Pro 2 🤔, honestly I really don't know why 🤷🏽♂️ In fact, in view of the current market, they are just very average earbuds, but with "G" logo, you are actually paying the Google tax 🤧 Honestly, save your money, and buy earbuds like the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, Qcy Ht08 Melobuds Pro, Earfun Air Pro 4 / Air NC2, Realme Buds Air 6 Pro OnePlus Buds 3, they cost $50-$80, but are as good or even better than these Pixel Buds Pro 2 on a lot of points. 🙏🏽
