Thank you so much for posting this. Visited the set with my family when I was a kid but never got to see inside the buildings, just the exterior. So cool video! :)
What kind of dance? I think he's glorifying this place when instead he should be kicking off how people are homeless and "SOMETHING" should be done with it! Sorry but I don't see the fascination in this shit yard. What a load of bollocks. Bla bla bla 😠👎🏿
@6:44 - this mock up of the Rovers was converted into an actual bar when the Granada Studios Tours was open. After the tours closed, it was used as a waiting room for studio audiences, although sadly the bar service was no longer available.
Great video guys. It was great to look around and inside what you recorded but at the same time sad to see this iconic street set fall into this state. I just subbed you.
Production moved to the new studios in November 2013, the set was used as a visitor attraction till November 2015, so abandoned for just over two years.
The soap’s old set, opened in the 1960s, is now open a tourist attraction. But one of the guides has been spooked by a string of ghostly sightings on the set, which is reputed to have been built on the site of an old cemetery. Angela Barnes, 69, of Halifax, West Yorks, was told of the ghostly goings-on when she took the tour in Manchester. She said: “It was a bleak afternoon and I said it seemed a bit spooky. The guide then told me she had seen a ghost - a child and a woman. “She said they looked like they were from Victorian times which fitted in because she’d heard the whole place was built on a cemetery. “She also said she’d seen a woman on her own a couple of times - just floating along and then disappearing into the air.” TV staff have reported several spooky sightings down the years and in 2005 TV’s Most Haunted show visited the set.
Weatherfield has become a complete dump. Sad watching this. This was such a nice area years ago, The Rovers Return has, like so many pubs across the country, has closed due to low patronage and cheap beer from supermarkets and even the local Police station has been shut down due to Greater Manchester Police cut backs which doesn't do anything to discourage the spiralling crime! Hilda Ogden would be rolling in her grave if she could see what has happened to Coronation Street. Everyone knew each other and looked out for one another but Weatherfield Council have let it go. I suspect the yuppies will be moving in to gentrify it! They will demolish these charming "back-to-back" northern terraces and build luxury apartments in their place and renamed it "Weatherfield Heights" or some other pretentious name!
Glad I came across your channel 😊, Im new to exploring so it's great seeing these type of videos and to pick up great tips to help me along the way. I just liked and subscribed x
What are they intending to do with it? That is unless it has all been demolished now but boy, no excuses for littering - unless a pro team have been contracted to tip all that is left of it? Vey haunting vid - thank you guys for sharing that with us. I was a bit worried though when you stepped out of the Rovers' top window as that structure could have collapsed!
The whole area is now undergoing redevelopment with £100s Millions being spent - when complete it will house a new entertainment complex, media, and advertising companies, along with apartments a hotel and other offices.
So what's the plan with this place, are they just gonna leave it like that whilst people are on the street? There should be some kind of movement on this, they could fix a problem here and name it after show. I think they did this with Brookside if memory serves right! 🤔
Cleared for redevelopment two years behind original schedule in march 2018, the old set was originally meant to be torn down in early 2016 but the financing on the redevelopment fell through.

I heard that right around the corner or on the other side was the 221b Baker Street set for TAOSH, with Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke
That is correct.
@@mistofoles always wanted to see it
Back before JB died
I actually have a picture of me outside that pub from the original Granada Studio Tours. Unless you went you would not believe how amazing it was.
Great video, I explored it a few back and sat on the top of the Rovers too!
Awesome. If you have any photos please feel free to share them with us on fb fb.com/britainsdecays
Why does *every single* exploration video like this have completely inappropriate dance music?
What kind of dance? I think he's glorifying this place when instead he should be kicking off how people are homeless and "SOMETHING" should be done with it! Sorry but I don't see the fascination in this shit yard. What a load of bollocks. Bla bla bla 😠👎🏿
Press mute button on the shit music bro

Thanks mate. Next lot of videos coming up end of March. Off to wales 😋
This is one of the creepiest explores I've ever seen. Nice job. Can't believe ITV left it in such a state
Probably vandals
Great video guys though pity about the crappy music!
Yeh bad choice on the music
Why play shit background music in a good video? 🤔🤔
Fantastic. How long has this set been abandoned for?
4 years.

wonder if they return the headstones they took to build it on ?

Coronation Street: Fallout edition
The Rovers Inn Settlement is in danger I’ve marked it on your map.
Beginning music lost me a few brain cells

I was waiting for a Zombie cat to appear at the beginning, with a deep heavy metal growl.
Ye didn't even think to pop into Roy's for a cuppa and a bacon sarnie? Come on now lads. Bad form.
lmfao now why didn't we think of that

Wonder if its haunted
What happened to the first outdoor set from the 1970s? Is that abandoned as well somewhere or has it been completely built on ?
Apparently it's all knocked down now and they've turned it into a car park
Shame to hear that

Why couldn't they stay here with the original set
Sad they demolished all this, all that survives is the mural
This isn't the original set! It was on Grape Street and demolished in 1982. It was located near to where the entrance is to the studios.
Is the old one still there
It looks so sad!?😞
I actually think the music is fitting....We're all different I guess...
Rubbish music and not necessary
Who on earth chose the music 😂
**Kurkie in the back scoffing screwballs**
This is what most of England looks like now.
Must have taken stone cladding to medior city
What’s with the crappy music😂😂

Man can the Corrie theme tune get any drierer
Mudic so off-putting. Spoils whole thing
Must be a Manchester thing "shit music"
Good exploration but music was annoying so watched it with volume off sorry..
Cremation Street
why dont they convert these into functional houses
I heard they destroyed the place
