Idk. Toyota never really listens to anyone.. they killed the real LC, they released a bmw supra, and they don’t even want to develop their own small sports car and went to subaru with gr86. Now all of their trucks sits on one platform..then cost a lot more? I’m not expecting too much with this 6th gen 4runner.
Sales speak louder than words. They barely sold any real land cruisers which is why they got rid of them.
Can’t wait to see it officially by Toyota. All these renderings are so crazy. Thanks guys
Just want V8 back and full time AWD option...would be a game changer to have the functionality and power of a Lexus GX, but with the rugged look of the 4runner...
Appreciate the videos guys! I Love my 2023 SR5 Premium. I think the 4Runner is so beloved in its Old Schoolness that I would like to see Toyota try to emphasize as many old-school features as possible. Honestly, I wish they'd bring back the pin-striping details they did in the 80"s!! I'm definately in favor of a manual vs automatic. Would be cool in a 4Runner, but I know that wouldn't happen. I like the Old-School V6 engine it has now. A V8 would be so popular. I specifically bought my 4Runner at the end of 2023 so that I could secure the 5th Gen. Too afraid of the possible changes in the engine.
the V6 is gone, look to the Land Cruiser, Taco for drive trains with the TFNGA-F platform IMO! Maybe a 6speed manual, but I'll opt for the 8auto. another camo version was spotting in AZ! removable hard top would be cool, i had a 1st gen, it was a blast on the trails top off, until it rained! needs a quick cover somehow, bring a tarp! it's gonna have a power rear window to differentiate it, for sure and for the enthusiasts! the 3rd window quarter panel window needs to be a gullwing! i'll give my 2013 another 2 years before trading it in on a TrailHunter edition with hybrid.......... i'll leverage my retirement for one of those, which we should absolutely see that trim!
Long as they at least put a better transmission than a 5 speed & at least 300 + HP. The rear window BETTER ROLL DOWN. Locking rear diff will be great. May have to trade my 5th Gen in.
That looks VERY VERY similar to the 5th gen. Almost like it's just another mid-model refresh like what happened in 2014.
Honestly I was hoping for a smaller 4runner, maybe one with the rear half-doors (kind of like the FJ cruiser had) but eh I guess that was wishful thinking.
I can’t wait for the reveal. I’m sure it will be the same power train from the new Tacoma. I hope it’s still built in Japan. 🇯🇵
It will be , nothing suggests they would build it anywhere else
The only thing that has me excited about this new 4Runner is for the 5th gen’s to get cheaper. If you like a turbo hybrid 4 cylinder that’s ok but me personally I don’t mes with it at all.
Geeze cant go out for a drive without the paparazzi takimg pictures. Ill just throw on this Balenciaga mask on.
If they drop the V6 it will suck and I won’t buy one I’ll stick with the 24/23 4Runner
this was a waste of time watching non technical guys speculate on toyota truck things. tfl does a way better job
Toyota is conservative, NA v6 is dead
A turbo would be a no-go...
The question isn't about whether it'll have a turbo, but rather how many it will have.
@@thelandcruiserproject One turbo is too many...
Let's Go 4Runner!!!!!! Let's Go Red Wings!!!!!!
4Runner has to be taller interior space
Tacoma is STILL for midgets height wise
Makes no sense to have a 300 series globally, and a 70, then our odd neutered Land Cruiser / LX variant AND a 4Runner
I bet it’ll be a Tacoma with a closed rear
Made stateside
There are still some of us that LOVE ❤️ the chrome. My Limited is sooo. gorgeous. Would love to have “kick open” or auto open lift gate, auto retractable side mirrors..
It's a crossover, with the Tacoma!
Position of the brake lights indicate a rolldown rear window.
I’m curious to see it. However I am very happy with my 5th gen…and even happier that I got it in Solar octane
I have feeling one the engine options it'll be v6 twin turbo like lexus gx550
Its gonna have the tacoma 2.4. The TTv6 would price it above the land cruiser
Boo.
Drove a 4 cylinder for along time i have a 5th gen V6 and im never going back… turbo or not. Turbo just means that engine is gonna wear out sooner. I think the 6th Gen is inevitable but it gives an even bigger reason to keep the older gens longer. That being said i can’t wait to see the design, im more excited to see what they do with the front end. Cheers guys!
🤣🤣 thats nOT A 4RUNNER! its a SUV MIATA!
