Good to know the pot will stand up to the flames from isopropyl but what a mess that makes that you would have to deal with in the backcountry. No thanks! Pot looks versatile thanks for the review.

Ya no kidding...this was just a stress test thing...I would just make sure the flame was a proper height in the woods so there was no cleanup issue

You might try this again using all the same components, except turn the ash pan around in the wood burning configuration. That might prevent the flame from enveloping the silicon cooking bowl.

I’m curious. In one of your earlier videos, you used fondue fuel for your stove. Why did you switch to iso? Did the fondue fuel not burn as hot as the iso? Was just wondering, because I’m interested in using the fondue fuel for my stove.

Fondue fuel works great but it burns a little cooler and doesn't last as long...no soot though. I still use the fondue fuel as well as the alcohol...just depends on what mood I'm in. Good to practise with as much variety as possible

Since when does 99% isopropyl leave soot? I have used alcohol, both denatured and iso for years and have never experienced soot.

I use 90% as that is the highest I could find...probably the 10% impurities I guess...not sure but lots of soot
