A true legend of comedy. And a lovely bloke, who's helped kids and people from all ethnic groups. Because of his material, he's obviously an easy target for the 'do gooder' hypocrites. Why wasn't Esther Rantzen screaming from the rooftops during Jimmy Savile's heyday.? It was well known amongst the corridors of the BBC, what he and others were up to. Probably just easier to keep quiet, and keep coining it in, from the 'said' organisation. RIP Bernard.

She is a liberal. I always check someones political view when I read something odd about them and they are always liberals. So yea she supports pedo groups, illegal immigrants, low wages, shes a real beauty, of course she supports Saville.

It's a shame a genius like Bernard is put down by some twats who don't know the true meaning of comedy. You either like him or you don't. If you do, welcome to the club, if you don't watch somebody else. Why the put down? In his life, he achieved a 100 times more than any politician, comedian, other stars and celebrities. He was an icon of comedy, he had his own club, Rolls Royce, did command performances, Las Vegas, charities, etc. A very kind hearted and family loving man. What he said on stage was his act, his material. He had a go at everything that moved. God bless his soul. I miss his sense of humour.

One of the funniest and most generous men around. He paid the taxes of a Pensioner in the mid 70s and got him out of jail. He was a Man City fan and so was the pensioner. I invited him to the Law Society of Liverpool University and he performed there he was asked by a Jewish student if he was a Jew and he said that his grandparents were. He asked the Jewish student if he was a Jew and the reply was yes I am. Bernard responded “you don’t look it” and everyone laughed as he certainly did, but no offence was taken. Knowing what we now know it is clear who the most genuine and correct person was. I would rather have Bernard as a friend over Esther “turn a blind eye” Ranzen any time. Thank you Bernard. I am sure your family and especially your grand children are proud of you.

The finest standup comedian bar none.
Not to everyone’s taste, but back then we made our own choices on what we listened to.
In a country of so called free speech I retain my rite to make my own decisions on what I like or don’t like, what offends me and what doesn’t.
I don’t need anyone making that decision on my behalf.
Modern day humour is not in the same class. Political correctness has all but cancelled it.
I’ve no doubt one of our university, wokey, cancel culture embryos, will stumble across Bernard’s humour and have it wiped from history.

What a legend. His jokes weren’t exactly pc but it wasn’t made personal. Esther is just a stuck up bint who’s to stuck up to recognise talent. RIP MR Manning

Why have rantzen on this ? Why ? It's the only one of these "heroes of comedy" series where they have someone on who dislikes the person.
