You can try out the beginner videos on my channel. There is a whole playlist for beginners. I have students who are 50 plus and do some very advanced asanas so don't let age deter you. I can't put out content for 40 year olds and undermine those who can do a lot more. So work with your level and focus on slowly building strength. 40 is not very old at all if you ask me. :)
hi! i have been practising get fit in 5 weeks. I do week 3,4 & 5 as a good 1 hour workout. But i could not or almost never touch my head to my knee in Trikonasan. Am I doing it wrong or is there any general mistakes your students do too in Trikonaasan that i might be doing too?
For Trikonasan your head does not touch your knee. I'm not sure if you got the pose name wrong. But trikon asana or the triangle pose is done holding your ankle on one side with the other hand raised up. So you are looking up towards the hand that is stretched upwards.
Yogalates With Rashmi Ramesh i meant right after trikonasan you say "touch your head to your knee.. " and follow you the next steps of moon salutation.
Being able to touch your head to your knee requires flexibility in your hamstrings. So you have to just keep practising, you could do a few stretches to improve your flexibility to be able to achieve the pose. :) Hope this helps.

Just follow a gentle Asana practice. There is no yoga pose that guarantees that you will put on weight.
