I've had every new high end stick this year. Warrior LX pro, Bauer Sling, CCM AS4 pro, Jetspeed FT4 pro....The Trigger 6 pro is by FAR my favorite stick. Booming shots off of it, and feels like a feather in your hands.
My Rekker and the Trigger 6 are close to each other, Rekker might be a bit lighter but it is within tolerance. With that said weight isn't everything and the Trigger is a better stick BY FAR.
Great review. Great to see both Bauer and CCM are making good improvements in the balance. About durability, Tommy from Hockey Tutorial said that the Trigger 6 Pro has outlasted at least 4 Hyperlites, so I don't think durability would be something to worry about for the T6P. (Also according to him the AS4 Pro is way more durable than the AS3 Pro). Also I can't wait to see how ridiculously light the True HZRDUS PX is. It will probably be like the T5P, but 5x worse lol.
Thanks for this detailed review, ive been trying to decide between this and the AS4 and the level of detail in this review has nade the decision alot easier. You’ve earned a sub here!
I have a Bauer 2s pro, I like it. I've been gradually going down in flex. Started at 85, bauer is a 77, just picked up an akali thats a 75. I'm 200lbs but only 5'8 so flexier sticks seem to work better for me.
I agree with shooting review. I shot "pro" version of every brand yesterday at a demo and CCM trigger 6 was the best BY FAR. like not even close. trigger 6 is unbelievably snappy and accurate. it almost collects the puck before release so it's easy to go against the grain and point the toe down to pick a low target like five-hole. very snappy on quick sauce passes too, so you can mix deceptive passes in while sitck handling. love everything about it @folks in comments. The blade is absolutely not too bouncy. if you can't accept hard passes you need to soften up your hands lol
I’ve talked to ccm reps, and they are not a fan of max blades. I remember when I talked to them about it it was right when bauer started launching their max blades to retail. They just didn’t think people would want them and it wasn’t worth it for them to produce
Great review. You should do a review on the Warrior alpha LX series. Pro-lx30 very curious on what your thoughts are. I know the pro is probably amazing, But I just bought a lx30 and it is by far the best twig I’ve ever had. Compared to the as3, jetspeed 3 and vapor 3x pros. I heard triggers are extremely Whippy. Love the vid‘s
I never had issues with Trigger's being too whippy, they always felt pretty consistent with other sticks I have used. I would love to review the Alpha LX line, as well as the True 9X stick. But unfortunately it isn't in the budget for me to buy those sticks at the moment. But I feel like this is a perfect opportunity for me to say... if you want to see me review a specific stick, please reach out to the company on social media and let them know you want that to happen!
I'm playing with a low kick right now 55 flex (I'm 5'6 134 pounds and the best I found to generate alot of power was that) and I can 100% confirm that receiving strong passes has been a bit wierd. puck ends up bouncing off because it bends the stick. This vid was very good for me since I wanted to move to this stick.
I had the same issue with the trigger 6. I’m 5’8 150 and was using a 70 flex. Everytime I tried to catch a pass the stick would flex and I would fumble it. Switched to the hyperlite after my trigger broke and it’s much better
i got one for $200 and it’s been great so far. seems like a good shot and super light which i like. there is a tiny crack in the toe after like 3 weeks of use. if you needed a stick and it was rlly cheap it’s not a bad option
Great in depth review... The 6 seems less boxy than the OG Trigger ASY, does that sound right? I love the rounded corners... I got a Tyler Toffoli pro stock and the shaft was "C", super rounded and I loved it. Not sure if this is that, but hoping closer...
I would say the 6 is more rounded and less boxy than the OG Trigger. OG Trigger still has rounded corners but the convex outside wall and rounded corners on the 6 make if feel a lot less boxy.
Hello. I am a Russian speaker and do not understand English very well. In your video, you said that your Trigger 6pro 87 flex weighed 403 grams, instead of 380 grams as stated by CCM? I bought Jetspeed FT 4pro 87 flex and it weighs 401 grams instead of 380 grams as stated by CCM.
@@HockeyReviews I agree. Seeing as my trigger 6 got stolen last week I think I’ll pick up another pro stock 4 I’ve found. They have extended 55 flexes that I’ve never seen before and as a 5’6 120 lb kid it’s an unreal find on sideline swap. Only 160$ too
Sort of but not really. Every stick has a tolerance of about 15 grams from their advertised weight. This Trigger 6 Pro happened to be on the high end of that tolerance. So majority of them will be lower than Hyperlites. Also, this weight was taken at the full length of the CCM stick, which is 62" whereas the Bauer is 60". So if you cut this to the Hyperlite I had it ends up being the same.
@@MrRocket96 Sorry for the late reply, UA-cam never let me know you did until today! From my experience Trigger is easier to get shots off but Tacks shoot harder but take slightly more effort to get a "good" shot off.

It’s lighter than the Rekker E1?

Unfortunately I wasn't able to try out the AS4 this year! But if this was helpful it would be greatly appreciate if you let CCM know :D

if you're cutting the stick the flex goes up

Max blade height is a joke!!! And p92 and p28 blades have way to much hype !!!!

Good review! And I absolutely agree with your point that the newer CCM sticks’ paint seems to chip off/flake super easily!

I really like the look of the new graphic package
It's is very understated! Looks great on the ice
Great review! I've noticed trigger 5 pros going on sale at a lower price now than the trigger 4. Appears many were not a fan of it as well.

I thought the same thing until I tried the NONAME low kick. Its even better
Hopefully I'll get to try one out some day!

great reviews, i'd love to see how you think the warrior lx pro stacks up
I would love to test that too! But unfortunately not in the budget to buy one at the moment.

There are manufacturing tolerances with sticks so they can weight below or above the advertised weight.
I have both this and a trigger 4, and personally, I prefer the 4. Not going to even mention the 5
You really can't go wrong with both.

How much did they charge you for the custom name on the stick
They don't, it just something retail stores should be doing for free with the purchase of the stick.
Бро, отличается чем-нибудь CCM RIBCOR TRIGGER 6 PRO и CCM RIBCOR TRIGGER 7 PRO, и стоит ли переплачивать за 7 PRO , или всё таки 6 PRO лучше?
7 shoots better and is lighter, but not really worth $100 extra.
So the trigger 6 pro is heavier than the hyper lite ?

I lost it when you said that the green makes it look more like Call of Duty Modern Warfare look lol.
Awesome review! 👍 What do you prefer this or As4?
Unfortunately I never got to used the AS4 stick. Just the AS3 Pro.
Ha ok, I thought I had seen you on Instagram with it... I have an AS3, easier shooting with the trigger I suppose?
@@MrRocket96 Sorry for the late reply, UA-cam never let me know you did until today! From my experience Trigger is easier to get shots off but Tacks shoot harder but take slightly more effort to get a "good" shot off.
Is the trigger 6 blade more pingy than the trigger 4? Which of the two blades do you prefer?
They are really similar from blade feel from what I could see. I like the shaft shape and the lower weight of the 6 Pro more
Best stick I ever used
Trigger pro 4 or trigger pro 6?
6 Pro is overall a better stick, but both are solid. If the price is remotely similar go with the 6 Pro
Ribcore Team or Vapor 3X ? Both at $159 +/-…
I haven't picked up either so I can't say sorry.
6pro ❤
