- Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Today, I have something simple and fun for us.
We'll start making some marks on the page with a watercolor wash, so they become like colorful frames. And then we can draw on top.
When mixing the colors, it's a great opportunity to get to know your watercolors: do you like them more pigmented or watered down? What is the effect and how can you use it to your benefit?
The colorful frames will give you a great starting point to draw (anything!), and when you ever experience "fear of the blank page," this could be a simple distraction for your inner critic.
If you like my Draw Tip Tuesday videos, then please subscribe to my channel, give this video a thumbs up, and also check out my Patreon page. For just a few dollars a month, you can support me to keep making these videos every week, available for free for everyone.
My book "Life is better when you draw (it)" is done, and it's now available through The Great British Bookshop.
It'll take a few weeks before it will appear on Amazon and other online retail platforms.

Yes, I love this idea too, Koosje! Thank you 🤗
I am really excited for your book! Can`t wait till it drops in Germany- shipping from the UK is way too expensive (about 9,5€). Thanks a lot for your inspiring videos!!! ❤️
Very nice idea :D Thank you!
Will the book be sold in the USA? Thank you for being such a positive influence.
Yes it will. It's available now through The Great British Book Shop, and in a few weeks it'll appear on Amazon. It's print-on-demand, so it's not sold in brick and mortar book stores.

Hi there! Do u think I can sketch first with pencil in Watercolour frame?
You can do whatever you want, it’s your sketchbook, right?
Let us know when it’s on Amazon (esp canada). I’d like my library to buy it too. 🇨🇦
I hear this so much, but I havent "just done it" yet. I need to, i want to, idk what stops me
Right now, I'm storyboarding for a comic, and this has inspired me to design my plans for each panel with watercolor. Let's see how I like it. Thanks for the idea!
Sounds great!
Is there somewhere I could see the table of contents for your book, just to get a better sense of what it is?
Not yet. But if you have a sense of my Draw Tip Tuesdays, you'll have a sense of my book...
Great, playful idea!
Glad you like it!
