    Koosje, I've been meaning to tell you for several weeks how much I appreciate seeing you doing two-page sketches. I've been holding my pages to precious, allotting only one page (or less) per drawing. I now follow your lead and sometimes do sketches spread across double-pages. Thank you. Love your ideas.

      I used to do that to, and when I end up filling 1 page occasionally, it feels kind of awkward. Isn’t it strange how we can get used and attached to something that was new and scary first?

    Hello Koosje, Thank you for your videos, they are very inspiring. I'm wondering about the paper in your journal. When I use watercolor it shows through on the next page, especially if I was to use this much paint. I am using Strathmore Mixed Media now. Your paper looks more substantial.

    • @KoosjeKoene
      @KoosjeKoene  2 роки тому

      I think as Strathmore’s mixed media journals have the same kind of paper as the Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook I use in this video. The pages need to be thick enough to hold wet media (and often mixed media books are great for that), but if you’re not using watercolor paper, the pages might buckle a bit. I don’t mind that at all - to me it adds even more love to the pages.

    Love this idea , thanks! Will a regular fine tip marker work ok over the chalky paint without clogging it up? I don’t have a fountain pen. But it’s so fun.

    • @danarenfand3384

      Also I use old tea or coffee on other pages to make cool “stains” on the page. Not so alarming but a real cool effect!

    • @KoosjeKoene
      @KoosjeKoene  2 роки тому

      Yes a fineliner will work, but I would use a very fine tip. Otherwise you can also use a dark colored pencil.
