She's gorgeous, she could wear any hair color and look good, but she really rocks that red! I'm so impressed that you were able to keep the ends from going pink. If I were her I'd use shampoo and conditioner specifically for reds since that color washes out very quickly. Maybe use a Roux or some other direct dye every so often to keep the red vibrant. Nice job, James.

Fab job James, I had the same issue with my hair, in fact it looks exactly mine 2 yrs ago, now I am back to being dark and very boring , so now I just wear my blonde wigs when I have a night out, it feeds my fix of being blonde. No one EVER knows I am wearing one as they are sooo good and real looking, expensive but so worth it. Well done, brave to take this on.

Thanks so much for this I’m going through the same in the crown of my hair where I had a lot of breakage. I’m a white blonde and didn’t know how to keep it but you encouraged me to do a root smudge/ ombré look since I keep my hair straight since my breakage isn’t super horrible I think I can pull it off since I have some length towards my neck. Love this. Thanks again.

I think this was so well thought out and executed. Especially if she wants to be able to lighten in the future. Her hair looks so much healthier than the before. The styling at the end really pulled the look together and she certainly can pull off a bold red and the darker colour! However, I do think she is naturally beautiful and that her cooler skin tone would look amazing with silver jewelry and coffee coloured hair. With a blue streak to make it fun! If she changed her mind about blonde. But she can wear any colour really!

Direct die, just colour on its own? How long do you leave it on please and would you recommend l do this on my client with no previous bleaching just doing retouch copper every 5 weeks. Would love a response please James . Thank you Jane.
