Wasn’t that attorney, Jim, who recommended him to NOT TAKE THE PLEA DEAL ????
If the boy had taken it he would’ve only had to serve 5 months in prison.
Suddenly it was too late for that and I really don’t understand why the boy didn’t ask for another attorney !
This happens all the time all over the world that the attorneys recommend people to do or not to do things and afterwards it’s visible it’s bad recommendations 🤬🤬🤬
But they are still CLINGING ON to the cases … instead of letting a better man take the place.
      Why is it so ???

@reignman30 GOD provides us with a wealth of information and the freedom to choose what to do with it. HE doesn't take it back just because people choose evil.
It's not GOD who is doing wicked things to us. It is people who choose evil over goodness, hate over love, and debauchery over obedience.
The fact is that the world denies GOD, hates GOD, mocks GOD, and blames GOD - yet they also expect GOD to save the day, prevent crime, stop wars, etc. But WE are the cause and cure for the condition of this world. GOD is our creator, teacher, friend, healer, provider and Holy Father. But HE does not force, trick or deceive us into obedience. Rather, HE provides us with a choice of will.
I will ALWAYS give thanks to Our Father for HIS mercy and grace because I understand that without HIM, there is no hope for any of us

You guys lack critical thinking skills. It must feel good to believe that every child hurting and starving just hasn’t excepted god yet and it must be gods will. For if something is meant to happen it’s less of a tragedy for you guys to think about it that way.
Religion is just a fucked up coping mechanism. Also fun fact it’s linked to pre frontal cortex damage in the brain. We don’t know if religion is causing the damage from inhibiting the use of that part of the brain by encouraging not to question everything and learn. Or if you’re just more vulnerable to believe all the religious mumbo jumbo with less critical thinking skills. The pre frontal cortex is the part of the brain responsible for critical thinking, asking questions. All religious people have smaller pre frontal cortex’s.

Thank you very much for sharing this case it was emotionally charging and definitely had me on the edge of my seat I was really emotionally invested in this thank you for Sharing.

I'm on the fence about the first confession however even if it happened that way it was clearly her coercing a little boy. 8 💯 agree with him minors being interrogated only when an attorney is present. I'll add to that, that parents should not have the right to wave it on behalf of the child. At the end of the day, whether he was involved or not he never should have spent that much time in prison and I'm very glad he's free now. I believe he was a good kid and he's grown into a great man. Definitely some dysfunction there. Those children were conspiring together to lie to her and see their father behind her back. I would expect her to defend her son but I wonder if the acrimony for the father played a role in driving this child to his extreme devotion for his sister. Barring some very real reason for why she didn’t want her son to see his father, it’s a bad idea to let your own distaste for your former husband make you destroy a child’s relationship with his Father.

@@jill7759they didn't 'conspire together', the manipulative sister offered to help him see Dad behind Mum's back (which, sadlt, woulda played into his feeling indebted to her later). He was too young to realise that a good sister would've offered instead to 'talk to Mum' as a mediator to put his feelings on the matter forward.
Also, we don't know 'why' Mum didn't want him having a rel'ship w Dad. There could be very good reasons! We can't judge w/out knowing. Not every parental rel'ship is a positive influence, unfortunately.

That sad excuse for a sister wouldn't speak up at her brother's 2nd trial bcos her lawyers would of warned her that telling the truth & admitting her responsibility, which would've also shown her premeditated planning and attempt to evade prosecution at the expense of her 13yr old brother, would have adversely affected her future appeals. She actually didn't "have nothing to lose" ... not until all her appeals were over. Had she been convicted of life in prison, instead of the DP, she may well have talked at his trial.
She placed her, literal, life, as a guilty person, ahead of her very young brothers right to freedom as an innocent person.

His sister wouldn't admit jack - because she was trying to get off of Death Row. A woman who cared so little about her MINOR, CHILD brother as to put him in the position of taking blame for a murder, isn't going to jeopardize her chance to overturn her DP sentence for "him". Unfortunately, the garbage human managed to get it commuted. My condolences to the victims family. I understand they may wrestle with this. But suffice to say, I believe the right person is behind bars, and she's never getting out. I hope knowing she can't prey on anyone ever again provides some comfort to them.

This would not have happened in the UK. All interviews with children must be with an appropriate adult, that is a parent, lawyer or omeone trained to support vulnerable people. All interviews are recorded, not a select few, and PACE guidelines cover how long they may be interviewed for. It seems the US system is just designed to 'break' the interviewee, regardless of guilt or innocence.
And the idea that another potential suspect could converse with an interviewee... words fail!

In the Uk as an adult at 40 when I needed to give a police interview and because I have mental health problems on record I was not allowed to give a statement legally without an appropriate adult and a solicitor.
I’m 40 and needed someone there to check if the police were questioning me as they deemed appropriately. If I was to cry etc the interview would have to be terminated.
I feel pretty responsible and grown up without help since I have a house, mortgage and 4 children.
