I used to have a 1974 Ducati 750SS. Mine was the first SS model with the round engine cases, green frame, fibreglass tank and points ignition. I had no foresight and sold it when I decided to go to university. Selling that bike is still one of the biggest regrets of my life. ☹️
Awesome! you had 1974 Ducati 750SS! The round engine cases and fiberglass tank is valuable like a jewel, and it is beautiful! but I think that the choice of your life is not wrong. Actually, when I decided to open own shop, I gave up the purchase of Yamaha XS-1😂
@@King07T thank you. Yes a 750SS round case is worth so much money now. A week after I sold it the new owner crashed into a car and the front wheel came back and smashed the front cylinder. The bike was a write off. Sounds like you too had to make a choice between an XS1 and your future. This is life!
Lovely bike but I don't think that they won many races. Yoshimura or Moriwaki tuned Kawasaki or Suzuki were just too powerful and unbreakable. At Bathurst NSW Australia motorcycle races camp ground on " The Mountain " , I've seen a Kawasaki 900 with sidecar doing dirt donuts all night. Bike being held wide open, full revs, exhausts glowing red hot. I sometimes think it was a dream but no , it was real.
Beautiful bike often seen in France in the early 70s alongwith the laverda 1000 and 750 or the guzzi 850 le mans. I used to race it with my 500 kawa H1A and later on with my 900 Z1B on the main roads around Paris !
Thank you for your comment, You had a wonderful experience! I think, the 1970s is the motorcycle golden age! as you say, there were a lot of motorcycles went through on the roads.

聞いた話だと、ホイールベースが長くてUターンするのが大変だったとか。
それにしても41年間乗り続けるって素晴らしいですね。しかもと言うか、当然の事ながらと言うか、めちゃくちゃ綺麗だし✨
2024年の今でも乗ってらっしゃるのかしら。
Lツインでロングホイールベース+セパハンなので最小回転半径大きそうです
純粋に走りを楽しむバイクなので、そこは割り切った設計なんでしょうね

キックでエンジンスタート。凄すぎ。ドカ900SSは全然ての届かないところの憧れでしたね、今もずーっときれいに乗っておられるんですね。エンジンの形やキャブレターから突き出したパワーフィルターとか、今でも新鮮に見えます。排気音凄かったです。。さすがドカですね。
バイク好きはこの900SSのエンジン造形に目を見張り、コンチマフラーの音に痺れてしまいますね
オーナーは丁寧なメンテはされるみたいですが、距離も相当走り込んでいます
この日も山間部は時雨っぽい空模様でしたが、愛知県から針テラス→大台ケ原まで走ると言っておられました

日本車の感性とは全く違いますね、
初めて見た時は「まあ何とかっこいいバイク！」と衝撃を受けて、
排気音を聞いてさらに心を射抜かれました

以前、外車バイク店の前で900SSのキャブ調整で空ふかししてたんですが、
排気音も凄いしバイクの5ｍほど後ろにあった布が排気圧で揺れてました！

ありがとうございました。実はベベル900SSと900SSDを持っていて復活させるつもりですが、その話があるのでスポークに変えようかと。ドカティディーラだったT社のメカが、空気入れていたらパーンという音とともに粉々になったという話を聞いたものですから。ちなみにMHレプリカのホイルは持っています。
70年代のイタリア品質ということでしょうか？ 今はカンパニューロブランドも品質が上がってると聞きます
