Very cute. Natasa at Treasured Books has a video making these using the liners from cereal boxes. She sews them together generally, but also uses washi tape to close some. So there are so many options on making your own much cheaper than those you buy.
You must have read my mind! I was wondering where to get plain ones to decorate & was looking at buying an expensive roll! Thank you!! You saved me some $$!
great tutorial! I've been looking for glassine bags too. I already have wax paper from the DT, now I get to play, YAY.! Thank you for the tutorial. Hugs, Debbie
I have just started making these bags. I have parchment paper, purchased at $ tree, and they r easy to do n I like your ideas on decorating, I don't have any dye in pads so may have to get one or two Tfs 🤓
Thank you so much for this! I have been wanting to buy glassine bags for a while now but they are so expensive! I can't wait to make my own!! Love your videos! Thanks again!
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@River Alexis Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
so how do you get the tape to stick on the Glassine bags? I have the Scotch double sided tape and it won't stick uugh!! HEEEEELP!!!! ....Oh and is parchment paper the same thing as wax paper? Sorry I'm a beginner lol Love those bags by the way :)
LvlyLynn Gambino don't be sorry!! Hmm I guess my tape worked just fine!! You could try a stronger adhesive (the tombow tape runner, score tape or a wet glue) and I think parchment and wax are slightly different but I'm honestly not a pro in that department haha I know they both work for the bags!! I hope this helps.
Hi, I also tried mod podge and that didn't work either so I decided to use plain ol Elmers glue and IT WORKED LOL it took a little longer for it to dry but it eventually adhered. Thanks for the great ideas your bags are so cute, I'm gonna watch all videos :) thanks again Good night!
Hi Jessica, I decided to get some NEW tape (like yours in this video), and tried it again on wax paper.....IT WORKED!!!! Thank you, and I retract my last comment. Also, how do you get your backing off the tape so fast?? I take 5-10 mins trying to get it to separate from the tape! lol
oh good! I am glad it worked for you. I def know that not all adhesives work on the wax paper but glad this one works for you, too! haha I usually have nails, I guess!
FREEZER PAPER OR PARCHMENT, PAPER, EASIER THAN WAX FOR STICKING, (ART GLITTER BRAND) DRIES CLEAR, BONDS WELL. ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO, AND ATTITUDE TO NOT MEASURING LOL. TA! CAMILLE AUSTRALIA

I always cut the little flaps off on the corner and then one long flap too..a lot less bulk. Looks neater also. I love these bags. So useful. Thanks

Oh forgot, I have also used embossing folders, but make sure you put a piece of paper inside bag first before you emboss the bag. 🤗
Not sure why this didn’t work for me, but the tape would not hold or stay on the wax paper. I tried several types😢, even the kind you used here.
thanks for the idea love this
