- It feels every bit as good as the hype claims, actually oozes WRC with its tarmac rally stance and raised cockpit. Immediately assures that it's not about what's on paper but how it's packaged
Transmission - Its shift mechanism is without a doubt, most well sorted in the current hothatchverse
Perfectly weighted, manly, ergonomic, precise. Almost every other candidate feels mass produced when compared to the GR Yaris' bespoke shift quality
It's very mechanical like heroes from the 90s but supremely refined, with noticeable modern tight tolerances. Every shift just seem to glide right in and click like magnet
Power - 260ps. Strong. Better than expected, more than enough to entertain. Even nicer is the delivery of that power, throttle response and impressive exponential surge of acceleration from mid range onwards
It's very addictive and that thrust is neverending like a literal pocket rocket engine

All else remain standard issue, including the still from factory Michelin ps4s tyres

@@zerotohundred Doesn't matter which drive mode there is a hesitation there that is slower than doing it yourself manually
@@darrenprior6339 is this a known problem with the ygr? have you tried other auto blip systems for comparison? Hard to imagine it being slow, never tried it during this test

Why press gas, when brake 0:34?
It's down shift, u have to press gass when u down shifting to be smooth. He use the engine brake
Thanks for helping to reply @Nes! Contrary to popular belief, engine braking is to be avoided in fast driving, while Heel and Toe is practiced to smoothen downshifts as you said, it ensures we are at the right gear for the speed and to exit a corner quicker

Why are they different compared to the rest of the world?? That is nonsense, steering must be on the left side of the car and you shift with your right hand, that is the only proper way, opposite of that is extremely unnatural.
