Stunningly beautiful....if it's not an American classic it's not a real car... your living the dream for me....it's my dream to own a piece of American history and be proud to show it off at the American car shows here in britain ....maybe one day .... until then .... I'll keep collecting my 1:18 models 🤘🇬🇧 🇺🇸
I like the 1956 Fleetwood 60 Special. But, I also like the 1958 Fleetwood 60 Special. REALLY I very much like all [ Big ] Cadillacs, up to 1976, when they began to downsize them. I also wasn't happy, with all the plastic that began to creep in ( in the 1970"s )
I remember seeing a '56 with that feature; I wonder when they started it and when they moved the filler to the center. RWD Cadillacs were among the last models with a filler behind the license plate in the 1990s; the side fillers are safer, but a PIA if the hose doesn't reach the other side.
My dad has one....amazing car. "You have arrived" is his favorite saying... He tells me it's my inheritance...but I'd be afraid to own it.... a) my garage is only 17 feet long, and the car is 19, so I have no where to put it b) as much as I am getting better at taking care of cars, something as special as this deserves better than I could give it...
We had a 1958 Sedan de Ville when I was a kid. Our dad used to tell us he could change the radio stations with his mind. It was amazing. I don't remember how long it took us to figure out there was a radio control button on the floor that he had been using to pull off his feats of telepathy.
1958 Sixty Special is one of my two ❤ ultimate dream cars (other is 1961 Imperial LEBARON ). Ultimate OTT American luxury and excess of the time, never to be repeated. ICONIC! Have had great Cadillacs and TOWN CARS, but can't compete, even though more advanced and comfortable. Chrome, fins, and monster V8s made America great. Those were the days!
Love the aluminum shirts!! I had my 75 Coupe de Ville skirts dipped in CHROME! It totally made the car ! Real eye catcher!! looked great with my tru spoke wheels!!
Very nice. I have a very rare toy model of this same car, made by Lesney. Actually it's the first time I have seen a real sixty special. VERY nice and almost peculiar to see a real one at last !
My partner owned a '58 like this one, the garage queen had 23,000 miles on the clock. The factory air worked but took an amazing amount of expensive R12 refrigerant to charge it.
This was only the second year Cadillac offered an air conditioner worth having. Before 1957 the air conditioner took up trunk space and blew cold air into the car through outlets in the package shelf in back, or optionally, tiny outlets up in the ceiling, like an airplane. There were no outlets in the dash.
I have my parents 58 bought in 1960 from a doctor friend of theirs. It has factory air and, and power windows. My mom signed it over to me in 1982. Still driving it around town, and to car shows. Lifelong memories to be sure.
Man those old Caddys are like arriving in a chariot. These videos are too painful to watch. I guess a metaphor of how far our economy, our society has fallen.
no the 1960 electra 225 was not as large as the cadillc 60 special the cadillac wb was 133 in and the electra 225 was 126.3 in, the electra 225 weighed 4630 lbs and the sixty special weighed 4930.
When these Cadillacs came out I read that the massive metallic panels on the lower rear fenders were made of nickel. I would get rid of the tacky chrome shades on the headlights. What a beautiful car you have there.
That's One Incredibly Beauuutiful Car!💕
SO BEAUTIFUL
WE HAD A 68 CONVERTABLE WHITE RED INTERIOR.
MOM & DAD. BOUGHT FROM OUR UNCLE 1959 .I WAS 2 YRS OLD
Now you know why I Elvis Presley like Cadillacs.
A symbol of success in 1950s

This car is absolutely astonishing wish I owned it
What a beautifull car!!! Special in such an original state

I remember my Grandfather buying two new 1956 Cadillac Coups in 1956! Light blue with matching leather interior!
The 60 Buick Electra 225 was just as beautiful and just as big!
This beauty is the most beautiful Cadillac ever made in my opinion. I always wanted one, but never found one.
This car is absolutely beauuuuuutiful!♥️😮
Real class! The likes of which we will never see again.
I knew the gas filler was behind the left taillight, but this is the first time I've seen someone demonstrate how it opens up. Thanks!

The 58 cads ,the best of all cads.
Beautiful 1958 Cadillac .

Gorgeous Caddy.
It's absolutely beauuuutiful!!❤️
Very beautiful amazing car wow just love it amazing look
Style and Class , something that doesn’t exist in car design anymore. 🤔

Yep 58,59, 73 are my favorites

Anybody that thinks that is a car is nuts! It's a piece of artwork. You have to believe me!
'58 was the last year with the 133" wheelbase until 1965. The '59-'64 Fleetwoods were just Devilles with some styling differences.
Very nice. I have a very rare toy model of this same car, made by Lesney. Actually it's the first time I have seen a real sixty special. VERY nice and almost peculiar to see a real one at last !
I like Cadillac car and I think USA made the best car on that time
damn that maybe the nicest Fleetwood on the planet today
Beautiful car
Real cars
Air conditiining in a '58 is nuts! Its very hard to find it in a '60. I know it was the top trim but still!

My mother bought a seven-year-old 1957 Buick Roadmaster with Factory air conditioning.
Buddy Holly owned one of these in taupe. Maria sold it after his death and to my knowledge it has never been found
I like the 53!! Torpedo bumpers
Look how spacious the trunk is, you can put three bodies in that thing.
Or as Jay Leno likes to say, you could rent it out to a family of five.
Boy that's a creampuff no doubt 👍
Was that car ever sold is it still around?
I love the color. What is it ?
Nice canoe .......
It's not a Canoe it's a Cadu
Behemoths
This is a LUXURY car, a car for the RICH, not working class people, and before the 90s, an expensive car was supposed to be big.
You should see the 58 Roadmaster
Or better still, 1958 Buick Limited.
That's A Boat ❤.

Its almost like paradise lost. It really pains me.
There's no such thing as a 1958 Fleetwood Brougham. That is a 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty-Special.
Correct ,the only brogham was the Eldorado that year.

Hard to believe at one point in time GM was the best, now just garbage !
Because all the great car guys died and were replaced with cost cutters.
Nice mean Cadillac
Headlights and wheels are NOT oval shaped - THUMBS DOWN for screwing with the aspect ration horizontally
Beautiful car! Wrong video size...
What city are you in
the grille on the cowl is not for engine heat escape it is the air intake for the heater air conditioner.

@@richardfeibel3154 but both the same length.
Ooh I'm tellin
what is that thing on the grill
If you mean the bullet shaped bumpers, they were called dagmars and were purely decorative on late 40s-1950's vintage cars.
Looks like a Cadillac Club badge to me.
Nice car, too bad even with speakers at maximum, I can't hear the mumbling video. Aspect ratio is all screwed up too.
