Re-inventa is an initiative led by young engineers who are working with local communities in the Historic Center of Panama City to promote citizen participation towards collective urban waste management through a circular economy lens. This movement encourages local communities to explore their creative capacity and identify new ways to create value out of waste by providing access to knowledge and resources. Implementing a co-creation process, we are spearheading a technological and learning experience for people interested in developing new products and services that lead to economic activation through the circular economy.

Our Citizen Transformation Lab is first targeting the recovery of plastics and with our initial selection of machines we are able to transform a wide range of plastics excluding PET- one of the primary plastic culprits.
In Panama, a staggering 100% of PET recycled plastic is exported, while our pilot community of Santa Ana alone generates an estimated 43 tons of PET waste per month.
Our core drive is economic reactivation through the circular economy, and the GigabotX 2-a cutting-edge machine-serves as a catalyst for our mission, harnessing technology to empower local communities thus preventing PET pollution.
