My grandma Annie Richmond was born two centuries ago in 1888 and I knew her and loved her. She was a suffereget and a flapper and she would be proud of you ladies….thank you. X
If Mona had been born 100 years earlier, the world would never have given Mary Pickford or Clara Bow a second look. She looks absolutely fetching as a flapper-era starlet. Why, she's the cat's pajamas!
Anyone who says that the Beatles were overrated all they need to do is listen and see covers of their music by people like these girls and they would why this music is timeless and so much better and interesting than anything produced today.
The twin at 1:35 her hair style reminds me a lot of Jean Simmons when she was Estella in the 1946 film adaption of great expectations with the beautiful mid long short locks and the other twins with the blondish hair reminds me of a woman’s appearance around the 1920’s 1930’s period sort of flapper girl singer appearance. Very good song cover and very interesting video too I love the old design.
This is a brilliant video of this Beatles song and you have made this version your own. I believe the Beatles were critical about releasing this on their album at the time but glad they did. Your cover version was fun to watch and listen too.
Once in a while, when an old song gets covered, it opens the hearts and minds of a new generation. This particular cover is of that ilk. It's a fresh and unique creation unto itself. I really hope these two get the recognition the so dearly deserve.
I have listened to this song far more because of this video than I ever did when it was just a Beatles song. Paul owes MLT his cut of the copyright payments.
McCartney needs to give MLT's old man, Rudi, a little extra moolah for the great video, awesome audio production and his portrayal of Max himself in this piece.
***** Thanks, that is a great compliment!! We always try to stay true to what makes the songs awesome in the first place and then we play around with the rest to make it our own. We’re glad you enjoyed our version!! :)
I like this better than the original, maybe it's because the video is so good. Well done in black and white. Mona is such a beauty. Lisa's not bad either.
Adding the influence from 'Honey Pie', a cute idea. Mona adorable as the Flapper/Vamp, along with sidekick, Lisa. Very sweet sound and look. Thanks, ladies.
One of my favorite Beatle covers by these beautiful ladies!! Thank you MonaLisa Twins!! You both are FANTASTIC!! Thank you for your beautiful covers and your new music, also!!
you are the most adorable young women, very beautiful, very talented...... it has been a pleasure to put video clips to the songs I listen to in my car from the CD's I've obtained from you....... When I move back to the UK, looking forward to seeing you live, ideally at the Cavern....in Liverpool...... totally excellent music
These young ladies are just simply enchanting!!! They give new life to the Beatles creations and anything they perform!!! What a refreshing group of young folks spreading the Love through their singing and musical talents!!!
Brilliant! Please keep the Vaudeville/Flapper theme going and give us Honey Pie. And as long as I am begging, more lead vocals Mona, Please? I promise I will buy to ad to my collection.
It's very refreshing to see young talented people such as yourselves carrying on music's legacy. I wouldn't mind if you branched out and did a little 70's stuff. But what's really impressive is your 60's style original music. You girls have really nailed it. Keep it up.
Dearest Mona and Lisa, yes I just found this I watched by me video of this Beatles cover and you all so Aced it! The video, your performances and I just Loved 🥰 the entire video from start to finish! Neal from Boston, Ma. USA :)) 🎤🎶🫶🎆👍🌈☮️
This tune illustrates what is so unique about Paul McCartney's song writing skill. This is essentially a vaudeville/British music hall tune, a black-comedy song and the MonaLisa Twins and their crew have done a splendid job of illustrating the lyrics. Many folk, country, musical, rock, ballad, opera, etc tunes have included murder, killing, death, vehicle crashes, suicide, and other unpleasant deeds, but Silver Hammer is just too goofy to take seriously. Kinda like the recent infatuation with zombies and vampires.
This (these) are SO SO good in all respects, the vids, effects, editing, sound, harmonies, guitars, - EVERYTHING. I wonder what Paul and Ringo think? lol
Girls, I am an absolute Beatles fan, I started playing guitar with their songs. I love the way you make these everlasting songs live again. I adore you two!
Superb performance great video the MonaLisa Twins are true stars - they deserve much more recognition than they are getting. Hopefully this will change soon.
At the time, a lot of people, even some within the Beatles, dismissed Maxwell's Silver Hammer as a goofy ditty not befitting the group. Leave it to the MonaLisa Twins to come along 50 years later to beguile us all with the charm lurking within the song.
I'm a HUGE Paul McCartney fan and i thought i would never say this in my life but you added some things to this song that were ingenious especially the vintage sound of the phone call near the beginning. I seriously think Paul would have added in the original if he would of thought of it
I agree Meloman Staruszek, it's a really great cover! Another fantastic song from the Twins: The wide, wide land! (original composition) Sensitive lyrics, very touching and a gorgeous Video!
Beautifully staged and exquisitely performed, ladies! There's a lot of wonderful creativity employed in this particular video, including the 1920s film style, the multiple pairs of identical twins, the madcap murderer Maxwell (Dad, perhaps?), and some splendid harmonies. Mona, I think you may have been born in the wrong age. You would have broken countless hearts as a '20s film star. 😉 Leave it to Paul McCartney to write a cheeky little pop ditty about a serial murderer and turn it into a controversial radio hit!
1-one of the best versions ..very neat ..great sound and harmony..excellent all -round..also great picks as covers,,very good taste in music..amazing how we grow up so fast....
Uh, yes you can! Here's what I found after less than a minute of searching: ua-cam.com/video/kqzf8jx1WOk/v-deo.html Anything more perfect than this would be the original record itself.
My grandma Annie Richmond was born two centuries ago in 1888 and I knew her and loved her. She was a suffereget and a flapper and she would be proud of you ladies….thank you. X
That's cool! My wife's Paternal grandparents were also both born in 1888.
Just a Wonderful Rendition!! Thanks!
If Mona had been born 100 years earlier, the world would never have given Mary Pickford or Clara Bow a second look. She looks absolutely fetching as a flapper-era starlet. Why, she's the cat's pajamas!
I would say that Mona is more of a bee's knees than a cat's pajamas, but whatever...
Dear Mona Lisa Twins: I could not have imagined you doing this song, but you did, and it is a work of art. I love it.
These two wonderful women are such a joy to listen to...bringing back so may Beatle memories is a most delightful fashion...just outstanding.
Anyone who says that the Beatles were overrated all they need to do is listen and see covers of their music by people like these girls and they would why this music is timeless and so much better and interesting than anything produced today.
the utilization of 20s styles and silent films is such an INSPIRED addition, love this
Another winner!
This was real cute. It reminds me of the style of your version of "When I'm 64", which is one of my favorite MonaLisa videos.
TonyHickschick v
And i just gave you the 64th upvote for that comment
Clever little video. Beautiful rendition
It always gets to me that a song about a serial murderer can be so light, breezy and funny.
That’s the genius of those boys!
Best version and video! (Love the Maxwell depiction!!)
What a fun interpretation of this song! Love it!
This is a brilliant video of this Beatles song and you have made this version your own. I believe the Beatles were critical about releasing this on their album at the time but glad they did. Your cover version was fun to watch and listen too.
These girls really do brilliant covers of the Beatles music!
i realize Im kind of off topic but do anyone know a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
@Moses Kendrick Flixportal :)
@Cullen Austin Thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!!
@Moses Kendrick Happy to help =)
Once in a while, when an old song gets covered, it opens the hearts and minds of a new generation. This particular cover is of that ilk. It's a fresh and unique creation unto itself. I really hope these two get the recognition the so dearly deserve.
these ladies are INCREDIBLY talented and beautiful as well.
I get a kick out of this every time I watch it.
歌はもちろん素晴らしのですが映像が昔のトーキー映画の雰囲気を醸し出していてツインズの曲の中でもトップクラスに良いですね。👏👏👏😆😆
Ironic they sing such a sick song so sweetly. Maxwell is an evil looking mine!
Beautiful, just beautiful!
Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
He's in a tough spot. Impossible to pick between those two talented young ladies! 😂
Such a fun song, and so well done! Between your fantastic vocals, beat box sounds and a cameo by Papa Rudi, this is a classic in my eyes!
Too Brilliant. How are there not Millions of views?
Wonderful! Fantastic!! Beautiful!!!
Very inventive, musically and visually!! Love the guitar parts!! How can you be so true blue to the original and so original yourselves??
***** Thanks, that is a great compliment!! We always try to stay true to what makes the songs awesome in the first place and then we play around with the rest to make it our own. We’re glad you enjoyed our version!! :)
Mona looks so freakin cute with the hair band! Your music is always a joy and pleasure 💓
beautiful and absolutly charming
I like this better than the original, maybe it's because the video is so good. Well done in black and white. Mona is such a beauty. Lisa's not bad either.
i love you monalisa twin!!!
Talented and beautiful. A dangerous combination to be sure. And we get it in duplicate!
Adding the influence from 'Honey Pie', a cute idea. Mona adorable as the Flapper/Vamp, along with sidekick, Lisa. Very sweet sound and look. Thanks, ladies.

Fühle mich in meine Jugend zurück versetzt. Vielen Dank. Herzerfrischend originell. Super Video. Gratuliere!!!
Mona the way you pull this one off is outstanding.. enjoy it so much. One of my favorite videos by far.
Brilliant! Please keep the Vaudeville/Flapper theme going and give us Honey Pie. And as long as I am begging, more lead vocals Mona, Please? I promise I will buy to ad to my collection.
I love what you did with this. Mona, incredible singing of course, but your acting is amazing. You guys just totally sell this.
Everything about this video sparkles! Impressive instrumentation, beautiful harmonies and even the creepy clown. A wonderfully creative cover.
Excellent in every way. Damn, I am seriously impressed by you two and the great artistry of your videos as well. What fun !
Hilarious! You guys have endless creativity! I hope that Paul McCartney has seen this and has privately informed you of how impressed he is!

Pomysłowe klipy, urocze wykonania, wspaniałe głosy i muzyka, piękne dziewczęta. Brawo!
Love the '20's theme and the black and white!
Absolutely brilliant! Both the cover and the screenplay!

You ladies are just great, 7 years ago or today, Fantastic!!!!

This is the craziest song ever.

Superb performance great video the MonaLisa Twins are true stars - they deserve much more recognition than they are getting. Hopefully this will change soon.
Was that their Dad playing the part of Maxwell ? He is such a clown..., very funny guy. The unending joy of Dad is in the eyes of those twins.
Excellent
Exceedingly clever and humorous Beatle song performed by two clever, talented ladies!
This is a Fab rendition. I can't remember seeing an image of Maxwell, he seems rather friendly for a mass killer lol. Well done Twins.
As usual ladies... superb...
They Do Originals Too , , Which Are Superb , 😎🎸😎. , Honest ly . 😎🎸😎.
One of their best!

Hey Piggly Wiggly! I shop at your store. You have a great value on paper towels this week!
I'm a HUGE Paul McCartney fan and i thought i would never say this in my life but you added some things to this song that were ingenious especially the vintage sound of the phone call near the beginning. I seriously think Paul would have added in the original if he would of thought of it
I've watching you young ladies for years now and I enjoy you as much today as I did at first sight and sound.
Never understood the song when it first came out, understand it less now.

Spectacular cover, and haunting visuals. Kudos!

Very well done! I'm still loving this version.
Fantastic
Wow I started watching one of your video's and I've watching them all afternoon........ I have become a big fan. Great job
I was able to see the Beatles live twice. You do them justice, and put your own twist to it. Wonderful job.
I will have come to England to see a show ...love your music
Excellent- I think this is the whimsically ironic song that the Beatles intended. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Magnifique !
:-) Wonderful production and vocal harmonies and all the little vocal enhancements!
An absolute perfect cover ..... you can't find a better one on UA-cam!
Meloman Staruszek ... and the girls are stunningly pretty!
What the liver birds, the birds of the Beatles, too much desk tube?
Uh, yes you can! Here's what I found after less than a minute of searching: ua-cam.com/video/kqzf8jx1WOk/v-deo.html Anything more perfect than this would be the original record itself.
So you call a karaoke version a better one this one?
You're a clown or a troll, or both.
What a hoot! Amazing. LOVE it !!! x
