I think the beatles captured the strife of their times and of humanity as a whole in their more melancholy songs like eleanor rigby, a day in the Life, golden slumbers and carry that weight, and they expressed a transcendent hope and intuition through their happier and more spiritual songs. Therefore their catalog can articulate both the problem and the solution, somewhat like acim. No wonder they touched the soul of humanity so deeply.
