imagine if at the start of Chapter 2 (I guess in the post-trial of Chapter 1 too) Kinjo is still angry at the group for calling Mitch their friend, and agrees Kiyoka is a friend, that'd be hilarious. like it doesn't need to be an accident or self defense either, he thinks murder is wrong, but murdering Mitch is completely justified lol
Oh man, Kinji as a protagonist would be interesting because it would constantly challenge his faith and whether he gives into temptations: For the second chapter, although not protag yet, he can't just blindly trust the motive that Monokuma gave since it could be true or false (as proven by Weeby's idea for Haru and Satsuki), so he has to be rational and not jump to conclusions. For the third chapter, the motive video could potentially still be the original one, with Monokuma saying that he'll "set them free" if Kinji kills. Unlike in the original, Kinji doesn't get much time to make what he thinks is the best decision (according to his actions from the original game, he likely distanced himself because he has to come to terms that he can't get too attached to the cast), weigh out his options, a heavy burden placed onto his shoulders. God always says to do the right thing, but what really is "right" in this situation? What's the metric for saving human life? (Un)Fortunately for him, Kakeru beat him to the punch. Chapter 4 tests with his endurance and not to succumb to gluttony. he would most likely be the one to eat the least, one reason I can think of is that certain religious practices have fasting, so maybe he's rather adjusted to it. I doubt Kinji would go insane like Tsurugi, rather I think Kinji's resilience and selflessness would inspire the group (until Teruya kills Mikako). I'm not sure about Chapter 5, so I'll skip to 6. I think it would be more interesting if Kinji and Kisaragi were or became close, because it makes the betrayal worse. Maybe Kisaragi was someone who was obsessed with hope and has a twisted perception of it, when he saw just how Kinji was still faithful to his beliefs and again how resilient he was to not commit sin (even if there were hesitations), he wanted to get closer to him. Plus I think them being a duo would be so powerful, Kisaragi is like a leader and Kinji as the Ultimate Priest who is said to make even the most crooked turn a new page, these two would be brimming with hope. But for Kinji to find out that Kisaragi is rather messed up, it would be devastating. He might try to persuade Kisaragi to turn a new leaf too, but it likely won't work on him and maybe Rei or someone might slap some sense into Kinji in that "not everyone deserves a redemption" or "not every bad can be saved". The theme could play into the idea of being virtuous or faith (not sure how protag Haru fits into this lol) But this is just my ideas for protag Kinji, I really love his character. Oooo I really like this! Imma write a lot to match your energy (but I got valid things to say) So I was initially scared when I heard of DRA (tbh I heard of DRA2 first. Better marketing I guess) and how an ultimate was a priest. It makes sense since Linuj is Korean and Korea has a lot of Christians. Idk how priesthood works in other denominations but in Catholicism… he’s too young 😅, but after reading up his personality and his motive for killing, I started to like him more. I was scared that they would do the twist that literally is the most predictable twist of every priest/holy character in all media and video games. The priest/sister (nuns are cloistered aka they don’t interact with the outside world much. Imagine a killing game in a cloister tho… I would love and hate that. Abandoned cloister?) is a demon and/or evil and probably some cult stuff. But nah he’s like a regular dude who’s more serious and reserved compared to other people his age. Honestly having him as a protagonist and having battles with his faith would make a great game. Some people might be upset because “Christian propaganda” or something (though I have faith that most non Christians are open minded enough to play a killing game as a priest. Just some crazy people would hate it because you play as a canonical Christian) but I think it’s just… play the game in the perspective that isn’t yours. Of course the writer would have to tiptoe a line here where it doesn’t feel like he’s forcing his religion on the player, but also… many things in Christianity are applied to normal life and normal morality. Imo some are extremes (saying this as a Christian) that I don’t expect non Christians to follow but I do think that learning about other mindsets, beliefs, religions, ways of thinking etc. help us develop as humans in general. But in the end Kinji is human with good morals and I think that’s why people like him (and I’m so happy people like him! Kinji protagonist ftw!!!)
In the end the group finds out that the killing game they are in is an alternate version of the original DRA killing game, and that they’re in a simulation created by a person named Weeby Newz, who was desperate to find a way for her best boys and best girls to survive.
I think Kinji being the protag, especially in this very specific scenario, would actually be very interesting. After being "lead" by the very genuine Haruhiko, the other characters would look at Kinji and think he's just acting high and mighty and being a protagonist out of moral obligation, without really caring for anyone else. Because of this and because of the betrayal they had just experienced at the hands of Haru, they wouldn't really trust him. I think it'd be interesting to see a protag have to earn everyone's trust for an extended period of time, especially a loner like Kinji.

I love this outline you've created Weeby! I have a few ideas on how the plot might differ though. Prologue: Kisaragi confronts Monokuma about their location, recognizing the building as his own, gaining the trust if most of the cast. Kisaragu reveals that Kurokawa is his sister, and is confused why she is acting distanced from him. Haru geeks out because he recognizes Kisaragi, as his favorite kind of plane was invented by him, and Haru help Kisaragi present himself as the good guy as the unknowing accomplice. Kanji is intrigued by the technology Kisaragi has made, so it's shown that they have spent some time together. Chapter 1: Haru has a strange connection to Satsuki and gets into the same hijinks with her as Canon chapter 1. The murder and trial go pretty much exactly as you say, but during the investigation, it's revealed that Haru or Satsuki accidentally broke Akane's doorframe, which is what allowed Mitch to get in her room in the first place. Haru, Satsuma, and Ayame team up to solve the crime, as Haru and Satsuki want to make up for breaking the door, and Ayame refuses to let Akane be the culprit. The trial ends with Haru, Akane, and Maki all blaming themselves for the crime. Maki's final words entail something along the lines of "Let me take the blame for you all, and keep living for me!" Chapter 2: Haru and Satsuki get closer until the motive is revealed. Instead of some of the secrets being lies, some are just manipulated. So while Satsuki sees that Haru's secret is that he is love with her, Haru will see Satsuki's secret which is some thing like "Satsuki hates being friends with Haru" or "Satsuki loves stalking Haru" causing mistrust. Over the course of the chapter Haru gets more and more paranoid until he confronts Satsuki, killing her. In this case we get the reverse of Satsuki's flash back in chapter 4, with Satsuki confessing her undying love to Haru, heartbroken. It is only then that Haru recovers the memory of their relationship. Haru breaks down, apologizing to Satsuki before she dies, in an insane manner. Satsuki forcefully accepts his apology, telling him to run while she messes up the crime scene. The murder takes place at nighttime, so everyone is in bed, except for Kinji, for one reason or another. It is then that the player has the option to confess to Kinji. The next day, Kizuna tries to kill Akane before the body is discovered, but is stopped by the BDA. This causes suspicion to land on Kizuna, but the fact that she tried to kill Akane ends up as her alibi. By the end of the trial, everyone has an alibi besides Kinji and Haru. Depending on whether the player confessed to Kinji or not will determine how the trial goes. If the play does not confess to Kinji, you will play as Haru during the trial, ending with a wrong vote, giving a bad end where only Haru escapes. If the player confesses to Kinji, they will switch during the scene, and play as Kinji during the trial, and Kinji will have to condemn Haru to death with his confession. I do think in either scenario, Haru will confess during the trial, but no one will believe him because he doesn't know what Satsuki messed with after he fled, like in Canon chapter 4. Chapter 3: Kanji is conflicted that he forgoed his priestly virtue of keeping all confessions to himself to survive. Kizuna tries to kill Tsurugi with a trap and succeeds in injuring him while securing herself an alibi. Inari is in the only one in the room with Tsurugi when the trap activates and trues to treat his wounds. Tsurugi, confused, thinks Inori attacked him and trues to kill her. A fight ensues leaving both parties incapacitated, as Inori is asphyxiation by Tsurugi, but he passes out from blood loss from his injury before he could kill her. Kakeru walks in on the two passed out, gravely injured people and uses it as an opportunity to "mercy" kill both of them as the traitor, framing both Tsurugi and Kizuna. Yuki takes charge of the trial, deeply saddened by Tsurugi's death, and guilt trips Kakeru into confessing. Kanji blesses Kakeru before he died. Kakeru's motive is shown, and a second video is shown of Midori being taken off of life support before the screen goes dark and a high pitched beep is heard (she's not dead, but Kakeru is tricked into thinking she is). Kakeru dies screaming. Chapter 4: Everyone is done with Kizuna, as she has tried to kill twice, so she hides from everyone during this chapter. She passes out during the dance, solving the numbers problem. Kisaragi tried to dance with Kurokawa, but she finches and refuses, opting to dance with Teruya. Kinji dances with Rei (as rivals do), Yuki dances with Kisaragi (both were close to Tsurugi), and Ayame dances with Akane (Kisaragi has a crush on Makoto from the first game so he isn't homophobic like Monkuma was in the original, also poor Teruya doesn't even get a man to dance with still). Monokuma makes a comment on how the cheerleader passed out while on the sidelines. When the food is rationed, Kizuna doesn't even try hiding that she is stealing food, so the group ties her up like Nagito. Teruya tries to kill her, but Kurokawa catches him. Teriyaki later takes some poison he smuggled in from outside the ballroom (he's a merchant, he knows how to hide things) and poisons Kurokaw's food. Over the course if a few days Kurokawa's condition gets worse until she is bedridden. The group tries to visit her, and Kisaragi tries to embrace her, but she screams something along the lines of "Get away from me damned possed creature!" or something along the lines of that to tie in her talent. This outburst causes her head to explode like in the original. This is the true cause of death, but Monokuma manipulates the Monokuma File to make it so the cause of death is unmistakably the poison. Kizuna's testimony is the final piece of evidence needed to condemn Teruya. Teriyaki then tries to kill Kizuna before he is executed, and ends up cutting off one of her pigtails. Monokuma reveals that Teruya was, in fact, innocent after the execution. Kanji is disturbed having to send an innocent man to death to save himself. Chapter 5: Everyone is suspicious of Kisaragi after Kurokawa's outburst, but Yuki defends his honor. Kizuna, done with everything, tries to kill Kisaragi, assuming he's lthe mastermind, but Yuki protects him by trapping Kizuna's other pigtail in one of the machines Kisaragi has made. Kizuna is shredded to death by the machine, and her hair goes everywhere. Kisaragi tries to protect Yuki, but the final piece of evidence is how there is no pink hair on his body, while there is for Yuki. This is a callback to Leon using the lintroller to clean up his hair in the original Danganronpa. During the post trial, Reid reveals her findings over the course of the killing game and pinpoints Kisaragi as the mastermind, just like Tsurugi did with Akane in canon. The difference is that Kisaragi's meltdown occurs before Yuki is executed, and Yuki is killed knowing he protected the villain. Chapter 0: A montage of Kisaragi falling in love with Hope and Despair takes place. The final scene shown is Kisaragi threatening Kurokawa while implanting his bomb in her head. He admits that he plans to erase his memories of Hope and Despair to blend in, and threatens that if Kurowaka doesn't play along, she will be killed. Chapter 6: There is no investigation. The player receives a series of truth bullets that were found in previous investigations which were not pertinent to their case and is thrust immediately into Trial 6. The case is exactly how Weeby described, with Kisaragi being the rich kid golden child stereotype, while also showing his family intentions with Kurowaka, revealing that their relationship was similar to Peko and Fuyuhiko's except that Kisaragi had no remorse nor want for Kurokawa. The trial ends in a stalemate as Kisaragi realized that he hadn't planned out what to do after he was revealed. He decided to blow up the building like in the original. At this point it is shown that Yuki actually survived his execution until the end of trial 6, and with the power of his luck, he traps Kisaragi and allows the other 4 to escape. Epilogue: The remaining four found the Maeda Insitute in stead of Kisaragi's organization. Rei is the head of command, as the brains of the group. Ayame heads the military as the brawn of the group. Akane heads social reforms as the heart of the group, and Kinji heads internal affairs as the glue to keep them together. Yes, I am accepting constructive criticism.

Chapter 1: Mitch really flipped off Sayaka here- Chapter 2: I feel Satsuki would survive the attack from Haru but then The mastermind really decides to be jerk and ends her off and frames Haru Chapter 3: So I imagine Kinjo is trying to shoot himself (again) infront of Inori, Inori tries to steal his gun they both kinda fight over it for awhile eventually he pulls the trigger by mistake killing Inori, Kakeru sees this happen and went in for revenge Chapter 4: After the lost of Haru and Satsuki and his new found friends with Kakeru he sorta just loses it and tries to poison himself but Mikako ends up eating the poisoned stuff Chapter 5: Kinuza was indeed attempting murder the whole time but Yuki and/or Utsoru seems to already be a complete mess in the head and doesn’t take kindly to being attacked Chapter 6: Yamato had the game made to be the protagonist he dreamed about but Haru took that from him so he killed Satsuki to mess with his head then framed him aswell and he tried to kill Kinji in chapter 4 but he seems to be a hard target so he can’t do it eventually he is found in chapter 6 and he admits he just wanted to be the hero but in the end he was the villain so he executes himself and Kinji, Ayame, Akane, and Rei all leave
i now headcanon that in this universe, monokuma literally just let maki go from the killing game because she slayed in the right way, what a girlboss ✨💅

Teruya can reach Mikako's Achilles tendons so she never walks again. And once he does that, he can crush all the nerves in her underarms so she cannot move her arms. From there, it's as simple as taping her mouth shut so she cannot scream for help.

They don't understand his feelings 🥺 Btw YES I love that ending. Kinji growing to be a stronger person or maybe even crueler at the end would be amazing.
I think a good role for Yuki would be: him being the traitor and/or Mikako of the universe. That he still maintains his memories of his school life due to a memory wipe glitch, something that would only happen in 0.0001% of equipment usage, hence the talent of a lucky student of his. And the reason why Kizuna went after him, will be the same as when she wanted to kill him in the second chapter; since technically, he knows who the mastermind is.
That would be fun and maybe you could paint Kaisuna in a good light this way like every chapter she has been looking to find out the turth of Yuki and then try to kill thinking if she does this and kills Kisaragi it would end the game
In this chapter 4, who would dance with who, I wonder? I think Akane and Ayame would be a given, unless Monokuma makes it "oops all heterosexual" again. Yamato would dance with Mikako for sure. Rei might dance with Kinji tbh, since he's shown himself to be semi-competent in the last trial, and a protag-rival dance might be fun. And Yuki dances with Teruya to escape Kizuna. Since we have 9 students at this point, someone had to be left over, and it would be funny if it were Kizuna imo since she is def the one that cares most about her looks and would be the most pissed if none of the boys wanted to dance with her. XD
Awww, chapter 3 is so sad. I can totally see there being a situation like Kakeru killing Kinjo, then Inori walking in on it and Kakeru playing wounded gazelle like Kinji did, pretending he was attacked and did something that made Kinjo die without his involvement- like for example, if Kinjo tried to set a falling object trap that backfired when Kakeru didn't fall unconcious, and Kinjo hurt himself trying to re-arm it. Inori believes him, but she immediately goes to Kinjo's side to see if she can still save him. However, she notices inconsistencies with Kakeru's story based on the pattern and number of wounds, and Kakeru comes up behind her and tells her, "I'm really sorry" while either stabbing her in the back with something, or strangling her with a rope or somesuch. Now with two bodies, Kakeru is like "Fuck, fuck, fuck", and decides to try and hide Kanata somewhere and go with the "Kinjo tried and failed to kill me!" story again, figuring nobody else will be able to figure out the minor discrepancies. But his story starts falling apart when they find Kanata- he tries to divert it using a "Second killer" excuse, but Kinji is able to unravel what's really happening. He also sympathizes deeply with Kakeru's situation, even though he can't let it off...

I actually tried doing a wheel myself, i've done one for Drtth, and I'm actually working on turning it into a fanfiction/fan series. Anyways.... back to my wheel. Mikako is the Protag!!! First as she's not social(literally has 3 voice lines prologue - chap 2), then Kinjo is her Support, my guess is that she isn't laid back or weird like Satsuki and HAruhiko. Then our rival is MAki, my guess is that she thinks that Mikako is Too gloomy. Chapter 1: First we see Kanata Inori die to the hands of Kakeru(hey twinsies) So everyone's shown the motive videos. Kakeru i assume has to it to with his sister? Kakeru maybe targeted her cause she's small. Chapter 2: Yamato Kisaragi dies to the hands of Ayame. I like to think that instead of Akane trying to help Kizuna, Akane is instead trying to help Yamato with problems with Mikako. But Yamato finds that annoying and decides to end it. BUt wait! Ayame steps in for her girl. Chapter 3: Mitch & KIzuna (Team sporting) die to Rei (Team not sporting) i honestly don't know why she would kill, all i know is that Rei would go for two easy bait and try use a double murder just to try confuse everyone. Chapter 4:Ko-bazing dies to MIkako!!!! And who takes over?..... Satsuki!!! cause her husband died... you know great developement. Except Satsuki's gonna ditch the clown costume like Shuichi with the hat. Chapter 5: Kinji dies to Kinjo!!! There could only be one 'Kinj' first name in this academy. Chapter 6:The master mind is........ Yuki!!! Or i should say UTsuro! Working for him is Teruya! And after those two die, Satsuki, Akane and MAki are besties.
I kinda came up with something that involved kizuna development. very changed ironically so chapter 5 happens and there is no motive because there are no more floors. Rei opens up to the group a bit more while kizuna starts "trying" to work with them. Upon investigating the 5th floor, kinji talks to kizuna about anything she found. She shows the picture of yamato on the wall then suddenly gets a headache. She stays in her dorm when it hit her. Yamato kisaragi was giving her a weird feeling and now she knows why. she remembers kisaragi leading them out of the real hopes peak and into the kisaragi foundation. She remember bits of yuki/utsuro and how he never talked. She remembered snip its of her time at hopes peak. Thinking she is going crazy, she sleeps. when the group meets up kizuna isn't there so yuki/utsuro decides to check on her. He leaves to see kizuna having a headache. Yuki/Utsuro knew what was happening because similar to akane, Yuki/Utsuro was working with the mastermind, yamato. He runs off hoping to find yamato while kizuna wakes up. She wakes up in a memory of her easedropping on a conversation between yamato and yuki/utsuro "so master utsuro, you have what we need?" utsuro nods. "good if we set this up correctly, we can let enoshima's sacrifice not go in vain! Oh you think it won't work, of course it will, I am the son of kisaragi hanzo afterall. What about kurokawa, she is as dumbfolded as the rest of them. Good were clear then? Okay." rei runs into kizuna freaking out. she speaks, "hey incompetent what was that all about?" before kizuna could answer she runs all the way to the fifth floor and runs into yuki/utsuro with kisaragi. she tries to run but before she could... She got stabbed in the back by none other than utsuro. the fifth trial happens and yuki is found guilty. before he gets executed though, he outs kisaragi yamato as the mastermind. Kisaragi admits it, leaving everyone shocked. before utsuro could say more, he got executed. Just like chapter 6, the surviving students investigate for clues about the mastermind and such. They figure out the kisaragi foundation is evil, hopes peak getting destroyed, junk enoshima, utsuro and even about mikako and kisaragi being related. In the end they escape. TL;DR: basically kizuna gains some of her memories and gets some development while utsuro/yuki and kisaragi are working together. in the end of the 5th trial utsuro outs kisaragi and chapter 6 happens just with kisaragi as the mastermind.
Akane x Ayame survives?! My gay heart is so happy. For Chapter 1, I think your initial idea of Maki uno-reversing Mitch in the laundry room is better. Just add in that Maki was shaken by her own motive video, which likely included her brother, so she decided to kill Mitch rather than incapacitate him. She feels regret and confusion over her actions, and isn't able to mount a very good defense because she was taken by surprise. Your chapter 2 is perfect and I hate it. For Chapter 3, I like the idea of Kinjo being the traitor better. Similar to Kinji in the canon game, Monokuma tells him if he kills someone Monokuma will spare some people (civilians, or Kinjo's police force, either way). Kinjo kills Kanata because she's vulnerable, but Kakeru finds out. Kakeru's lawyer-mode comes out in full force, and he chooses violence. After the haze clears, Kakeru realizes what he's done, and tries to cover it up by making it look like Kinjo died first (hence why the wheel picked him first). Monokuma reveals Kinjo's motive video as evidence in the trial, which is how everyone figures out why the murder happened and that Kinjo wasn't just a victim. Kakeru apologizes for putting everyone through the trial, and mostly feels regret that he couldn't save Kanata. (In this version, Monokuma doesn't intervene to stop a second killer.) Your chapter 4 is good, but I just wonder what kind of role Mikako plays in the story if Yamato is the mastermind. Are they still step-siblings? Is she a co-conspirator? Did Yamato purposely sabotage her so she couldn't betray him? Oh, here we go. Yamato killed Mikako because she was close to recovering her full memory and revealing everything. He framed Teruya because the group was hostile to him after finding out he'd hoarded food. This isn't revealed until Chapter 6, so Teruya dies still protesting his innocence. Your chapter 5 is good, it just needs some story beats. Monokuma reveals that the mastermind is working from within the group. Kizuna was already suspicious of everyone, but becomes more suspicious of Yuki precisely because he is the most normal. She tries to kill him, but, whoops, divine fortune. He kills her without really meaning to, and during the trial, Utsuro is exposed. Utsuro's reemergence also causes Akane to revert to her damaged personality, and she disrupts the killing game to protect Utsuro from Monokuma. Chapter 6 opens as a contest between Utsuro and Akane vs Monokuma, with the other students caught in the middle. Ayame eventually manages to reach Akane, who starts to recover, creating room for a truce between Utsuro and the other survivors. Kinji goes into prayer to confront whatever dark secrets are within him, and begins to come face to face with the truth. Kisaragi has experimentally heightened the talents of all of them, and is pitting them against each other to test their limits. He intends to create or become a more perfect human, and launch a counter attack against Junko's ultimate despair. He has completely lost it, and is no longer capable of realizing that he has created something as bad or worse than what Junko did, not even regretting what he did to his best friend/ boyfriend or step sister. When the truth is fully revealed, Utsuro is disgusted at what he has been made into. He taps into his luck, enhanced by Kisaragi's experiments, and destroys the facility, killing Kisaragi and himself(?) in the process. He is careful to spare the four survivors, who escape. Kinji and Rei come out of this having gained a strong respect for each other, even though Kinji's faith seems at odds with Rei's cynicism. spoilers for the video Honestly Yamato being the mastermind is even worse when you consider Mikako and Tsurugi, (basically his sister and his closest friend/boyfriend) both died, maybe that brings him into the realization that makes him redeemable. Or just keep him terrible, both are funny.

I would've thought just self-defence would work for Maki, but killing Mitch to protect Akane works, especially since Maki was in that friend group with Akane and Ayame from what I recall. - Satsuki dying by Haru in Chapter 2 is DEFINITELY karma for the Mitch thing. :p Your idea for them though... it's devastating. I love it. - Kisaragi basically being what Mikado wanted to do is a pretty cool idea, especially with the idea that Junko WAS able to turn them this time. What I wonder about is if Utsuro still has the Divine Luck ability and if that plays into anything (I could see Kizuna killing him being similar to Chapter 2, her suspecting him possibly), and also what Mikako's relationship to Kisaragi would be this time.
Headcanon: Kizuna's planned murder method is the best & most complex in the series, involving SEVERAL seesaws and faucets. Her Execution would've been her surrounded by sugar daddies, but they all turn out to be Mitchokumas so she breaks her own neck for the sweet release of death. 😅

Rei Mekaru survives even in this random Killing Game of luck. I think this confirms that she is destined to never die. This makes me believe that she'll survive in the sequel as well.

Spoilers for the vid I could see Yamato being the leader of the group up until chapter 4 when Mikako dies. He was already starting to get negative character development after Kinjo died but after Mikako dies I could see him realize the deathgame he made just killed his bro and his sister which leads to him embracing his despair even more and going full junko
For the 3rd chapter: Perhaps Kinjo is the one to get the motive about leaving if another murder happens. He's very against killing but can't be sure how long they'll last here until a new murder happens. This leads to Kinjo having his suicide moment earlier, but privately, as that counts as a murder but he won't have to kill anyone else. Inori overhears what's happening and tries to stop it, which results in Kinjo shooting Inori in the stomach. Then Kakeru walks in, sees the situation, and tries to wrench the gun out of Kinjo's hands, but this leads to two other shots, one hitting Inori in the skull, while the second shot hits Kinjo in the heart. He's killed instantly, and Inori being weakened from the blood loss she was suffering from the first bullet is killed within a minute of the second one. Kakeru went to go find help, but after returning finds that Inori had already passed. Not sure how he would hide everything, but that's my interpretation of the actual murder.
I love the idea that during the mastermind reveal trial they would accuse (or be entirely right about either way it sounds cool) Yuki of being an accomplice because of the whole utsuro thing

Spoilers for Sdra2 prologue If Weeby's scenario goes to get a sequel, I can see Akane and Ayame being the ones to go to the island (probably called Kisaragi Island) to confront the new mastermind, and it playing out like sdra2 (Akane being the Rei in this situation and Ayame being the Teruya, maybe?)
What if Yuki was still Utsuro, and the original mastermind, and Kisaragi found out, and made a plan to basically hijack the killing game by letting it slip to Kizuna that Yuki was dangerous, knowing that she’d try and kill him. Either she succeeds and he dies, or he kills her in defense and becomes the blackened, so Kisaragi can swoop in and take over.

I'm probably late, but just in case. What if for Chapter 3... Kanata starts to panic following Chapter 3's motivation and goes to somebody for help. The nearest person was Tsurugi. Kanata talks to him about how she needs to get out but he goes on about his whole "if you kill you deserve death" thing. Kanata argues with him that Haru and Maki are NOT criminals and were just trying to help their friends. Tsurugi sees this as Kanata planning another murder and tries to restrain her so that doesn't happen. Kakeru walks in and sees this, assuming Tsurugi is planning to kill Kanata. They engage in a fight and in the struggle Kanata dies thanks to an accident caused by Tsurugi. Tsurugi falls into despair knowing that his actions caused the death of an innocent, giving Kakeru enough time to finish him off.

I 'd probably go with something less straightforward in the ballroom chapter, in which maybe mikako is the one to bring up the two sacrifices, being driven to desperation faster for whatever reason in this timeline. She brings it up before the group truly descends into madness, and teruya is the first one to break, and takes her up on it. Also for the bit maybe Kizuna attempts to kill Teruya but he kills Mikako, which initiates the investigation, before she can go through with her plan lol

Mastermind Yamato Kisaragi would be really interesting especially if Mikako is still friends with him and we learn that Mikako was like the Akane of this version.
My Versions Hell yes the himbo protag! Ayame wingmans for Haru for sure while also mostly ignoring him for Akane. Rei just losing her mind at the class relying on Haru, head in her hands as Haru does the minigames. Chapter 1: GET FUCKED MITCH 📣📣📣 Mitch pulled a Sayaka and fucked up his murder plot, maybe Maki thought to bring someone with her and they both team up on Mitch with Maki accidentally landing a blow that causes him to hit his head. The two are trying to protect each other and even they aren't 100% sure who landed the blow until part way through the trial. I'm thinking Satsuki is the one with her, because it would help lead into chapter 2. Chapter 2: Motherfucker. Can these two not get a break?? This would be a sort of v3 trial 1 type I think, with a temporary swap over to Rei when Haru can't bring himself to give up. Scenario-wise I think Haru would have to consider it the only option for him to kill, so the secrets motive would have to have him believe Satsuki was a danger to himself and the others. This brings me back to my chapter 1 idea where Satsuki was trying to get the class to vote for her, which would have resulted in everyone dying. Therefore her secret is that she's "tried to kill everyone here before" and Haru doesn't think it through enough to realise it's about the first trial and goes straight to mastermind and/or serial killer. Chapter 3: Kinji please don't go nuts. Please. Haha get wrecked Kinjo NO KANATA KAKERU??? I can only think he accidentally set off a trap that somebody else, maybe even Kinjo himself, built. Nagito's death set the precedent that accidentally setting off a trap gets you marked as the blackened. Maybe Kinjo is trying to pull a Nagito and get everyone killed? I imagine it's a trap like the one in Mockingjay where there's an initial attack then another that goes off when someone tries to save the first victim, which Kanata would do. Chapter 4: Mikako noooooo :( Teruya was very on edge that chapter, so I could easily see him snapping. Perhaps it's a murder of opportunity and Teruya kills the first person he finds alone, and Mikako was never very social since she couldn't talk much. And maybe Kizana was aggressive towards Mikako previously in the chapter so everyone thinks she's the obvious culprit until Shinji and Ayame can prove she's got an alibi. Shinji and Ayame paired up and stuck together which gives them an alibi, but when Teruya starts insisting that they're working with Kizuna it becomes a bit clearer that he's losing it a bit, with him having a gradual breakdown throughout the trial. It'd be pretty unnerving for this mostly comedic character to start being scary due to the lack of food- I picture his nightmare face as having hollowed out cheeks and eye sockets in a really exaggerated way to show how much it got to him. Chapter 5: Yeah I agree with Weeby here, Yuki just doesn't have killer vibes. Chapter 6: Ooooooh that would be interesting and such a plot twist! He's trying to play Makoto while being Junko in reality. Ayame and Akane get to be in love. Beautiful
My idea for chapter 3 is that Kinjo literally gave up on his hate for criminals and decided to go ahead and kill two people (also the person in his desire video was his best friend that in the canon game died but in this one didn’t) and so Kinjo tried to kill Inori and Kakeru but instead of killing Kakeru all he did was knock him out but Kinjo didn’t believe that. So Kinjo being the Kinjo that he is, he left the two bodies (in let’s say, the art room) and left to do things in the library. Then Kakeru wakes up and remembers that Midori is on the verge of dieing and the fact that Kinjo killed Inori so Kakeru searches for Kinjo and kills him. Also idea the Kisaragi mastermind situation! Kisaragi could’ve somehow hated Utsuro for who he is and for his “Divine Luck” and so Kisaragi somehow manages to erase the Utsuro personality off of Yuki and turn him into Yuki for the rest of his life.

My theory on case 3. in this game is that Kinjo tried to poison Inori and Yamaguchi for unknown reason. Yamaguchi would ne very angry about this and beat Kinjo to death. Inori would find an antidote but there would be enough for Both of them so she gives it to Yamaguchi so he Could survive. Yamaguchi feeling guilt would act just like Satsuki in original trial 4. teling everyone that he is the one who’s resposible for Inoris and Kinjos deaths. No one belived him until Kinji notises that Yamaguchi isn’t like he normaly is in the trials. This scenario would make Yamaguchi the culpurit and make the case even sader. (Sorry if my English is litle broken. I’m still very young plus I live in Finland but I hope you understood well enough.)

Oh man, Kinji as a protagonist would be interesting because it would constantly challenge his faith and whether he gives into temptations: For the second chapter, although not protag yet, he can't just blindly trust the motive that Monokuma gave since it could be true or false (as proven by Weeby's idea for Haru and Satsuki), so he has to be rational and not jump to conclusions.
For the third chapter, the motive video could potentially still be the original one, with Monokuma saying that he'll "set them free" if Kinji kills. Unlike in the original, Kinji doesn't get much time to make what he thinks is the best decision (according to his actions from the original game, he likely distanced himself because he has to come to terms that he can't get too attached to the cast), weigh out his options, a heavy burden placed onto his shoulders. God always says to do the right thing, but what really is "right" in this situation? What's the metric for saving human life? (Un)Fortunately for him, Kakeru beat him to the punch.
Chapter 4 tests with his endurance and not to succumb to gluttony. he would most likely be the one to eat the least, one reason I can think of is that certain religious practices have fasting, so maybe he's rather adjusted to it. I doubt Kinji would go insane like Tsurugi, rather I think Kinji's resilience and selflessness would inspire the group (until Teruya kills Mikako).
I'm not sure about Chapter 5, so I'll skip to 6. I think it would be more interesting if Kinji and Kisaragi were or became close, because it makes the betrayal worse. Maybe Kisaragi was someone who was obsessed with hope and has a twisted perception of it, when he saw just how Kinji was still faithful to his beliefs and again how resilient he was to not commit sin (even if there were hesitations), he wanted to get closer to him. Plus I think them being a duo would be so powerful, Kisaragi is like a leader and Kinji as the Ultimate Priest who is said to make even the most crooked turn a new page, these two would be brimming with hope. But for Kinji to find out that Kisaragi is rather messed up, it would be devastating. He might try to persuade Kisaragi to turn a new leaf too, but it likely won't work on him and maybe Rei or someone might slap some sense into Kinji in that "not everyone deserves a redemption" or "not every bad can be saved".
The theme could play into the idea of being virtuous or faith (not sure how protag Haru fits into this lol) But this is just my ideas for protag Kinji, I really love his character. I wrote way too much ^^; Anyways, Love your vids Weeby, keep it up!!!

So I was initially scared when I heard of DRA (tbh I heard of DRA2 first. Better marketing I guess) and how an ultimate was a priest. It makes sense since Linuj is Korean and Korea has a lot of Christians. Idk how priesthood works in other denominations but in Catholicism… he’s too young 😅, but after reading up his personality and his motive for killing, I started to like him more. I was scared that they would do the twist that literally is the most predictable twist of every priest/holy character in all media and video games. The priest/sister (nuns are cloistered aka they don’t interact with the outside world much. Imagine a killing game in a cloister tho… I would love and hate that. Abandoned cloister?) is a demon and/or evil and probably some cult stuff.
But nah he’s like a regular dude who’s more serious and reserved compared to other people his age.
Honestly having him as a protagonist and having battles with his faith would make a great game. Some people might be upset because “Christian propaganda” or something (though I have faith that most non Christians are open minded enough to play a killing game as a priest. Just some crazy people would hate it because you play as a canonical Christian) but I think it’s just… play the game in the perspective that isn’t yours. Of course the writer would have to tiptoe a line here where it doesn’t feel like he’s forcing his religion on the player, but also… many things in Christianity are applied to normal life and normal morality. Imo some are extremes (saying this as a Christian) that I don’t expect non Christians to follow but I do think that learning about other mindsets, beliefs, religions, ways of thinking etc. help us develop as humans in general. But in the end Kinji is human with good morals and I think that’s why people like him (and I’m so happy people like him! Kinji protagonist ftw!!!)
In the end the group finds out that the killing game they are in is an alternate version of the original DRA killing game, and that they’re in a simulation created by a person named Weeby Newz, who was desperate to find a way for her best boys and best girls to survive.

I think Kinji being the protag, especially in this very specific scenario, would actually be very interesting. After being "lead" by the very genuine Haruhiko, the other characters would look at Kinji and think he's just acting high and mighty and being a protagonist out of moral obligation, without really caring for anyone else. Because of this and because of the betrayal they had just experienced at the hands of Haru, they wouldn't really trust him. I think it'd be interesting to see a protag have to earn everyone's trust for an extended period of time, especially a loner like Kinji.
I'm only at chapter 2 but this wheel is really going for the most drama possible.

I love this outline you've created Weeby! I have a few ideas on how the plot might differ though.
Prologue: Kisaragi confronts Monokuma about their location, recognizing the building as his own, gaining the trust if most of the cast. Kisaragu reveals that Kurokawa is his sister, and is confused why she is acting distanced from him. Haru geeks out because he recognizes Kisaragi, as his favorite kind of plane was invented by him, and Haru help Kisaragi present himself as the good guy as the unknowing accomplice. Kanji is intrigued by the technology Kisaragi has made, so it's shown that they have spent some time together.
Chapter 1: Haru has a strange connection to Satsuki and gets into the same hijinks with her as Canon chapter 1. The murder and trial go pretty much exactly as you say, but during the investigation, it's revealed that Haru or Satsuki accidentally broke Akane's doorframe, which is what allowed Mitch to get in her room in the first place. Haru, Satsuma, and Ayame team up to solve the crime, as Haru and Satsuki want to make up for breaking the door, and Ayame refuses to let Akane be the culprit. The trial ends with Haru, Akane, and Maki all blaming themselves for the crime. Maki's final words entail something along the lines of "Let me take the blame for you all, and keep living for me!"
Chapter 2: Haru and Satsuki get closer until the motive is revealed. Instead of some of the secrets being lies, some are just manipulated. So while Satsuki sees that Haru's secret is that he is love with her, Haru will see Satsuki's secret which is some thing like "Satsuki hates being friends with Haru" or "Satsuki loves stalking Haru" causing mistrust. Over the course of the chapter Haru gets more and more paranoid until he confronts Satsuki, killing her. In this case we get the reverse of Satsuki's flash back in chapter 4, with Satsuki confessing her undying love to Haru, heartbroken. It is only then that Haru recovers the memory of their relationship. Haru breaks down, apologizing to Satsuki before she dies, in an insane manner. Satsuki forcefully accepts his apology, telling him to run while she messes up the crime scene. The murder takes place at nighttime, so everyone is in bed, except for Kinji, for one reason or another. It is then that the player has the option to confess to Kinji. The next day, Kizuna tries to kill Akane before the body is discovered, but is stopped by the BDA. This causes suspicion to land on Kizuna, but the fact that she tried to kill Akane ends up as her alibi. By the end of the trial, everyone has an alibi besides Kinji and Haru. Depending on whether the player confessed to Kinji or not will determine how the trial goes. If the play does not confess to Kinji, you will play as Haru during the trial, ending with a wrong vote, giving a bad end where only Haru escapes. If the player confesses to Kinji, they will switch during the scene, and play as Kinji during the trial, and Kinji will have to condemn Haru to death with his confession. I do think in either scenario, Haru will confess during the trial, but no one will believe him because he doesn't know what Satsuki messed with after he fled, like in Canon chapter 4.
Chapter 3: Kanji is conflicted that he forgoed his priestly virtue of keeping all confessions to himself to survive. Kizuna tries to kill Tsurugi with a trap and succeeds in injuring him while securing herself an alibi. Inari is in the only one in the room with Tsurugi when the trap activates and trues to treat his wounds. Tsurugi, confused, thinks Inori attacked him and trues to kill her. A fight ensues leaving both parties incapacitated, as Inori is asphyxiation by Tsurugi, but he passes out from blood loss from his injury before he could kill her. Kakeru walks in on the two passed out, gravely injured people and uses it as an opportunity to "mercy" kill both of them as the traitor, framing both Tsurugi and Kizuna. Yuki takes charge of the trial, deeply saddened by Tsurugi's death, and guilt trips Kakeru into confessing. Kanji blesses Kakeru before he died. Kakeru's motive is shown, and a second video is shown of Midori being taken off of life support before the screen goes dark and a high pitched beep is heard (she's not dead, but Kakeru is tricked into thinking she is). Kakeru dies screaming.
Chapter 4: Everyone is done with Kizuna, as she has tried to kill twice, so she hides from everyone during this chapter. She passes out during the dance, solving the numbers problem. Kisaragi tried to dance with Kurokawa, but she finches and refuses, opting to dance with Teruya. Kinji dances with Rei (as rivals do), Yuki dances with Kisaragi (both were close to Tsurugi), and Ayame dances with Akane (Kisaragi has a crush on Makoto from the first game so he isn't homophobic like Monkuma was in the original, also poor Teruya doesn't even get a man to dance with still). Monokuma makes a comment on how the cheerleader passed out while on the sidelines. When the food is rationed, Kizuna doesn't even try hiding that she is stealing food, so the group ties her up like Nagito. Teruya tries to kill her, but Kurokawa catches him. Teriyaki later takes some poison he smuggled in from outside the ballroom (he's a merchant, he knows how to hide things) and poisons Kurokaw's food. Over the course if a few days Kurokawa's condition gets worse until she is bedridden. The group tries to visit her, and Kisaragi tries to embrace her, but she screams something along the lines of "Get away from me damned possed creature!" or something along the lines of that to tie in her talent. This outburst causes her head to explode like in the original. This is the true cause of death, but Monokuma manipulates the Monokuma File to make it so the cause of death is unmistakably the poison. Kizuna's testimony is the final piece of evidence needed to condemn Teruya. Teriyaki then tries to kill Kizuna before he is executed, and ends up cutting off one of her pigtails. Monokuma reveals that Teruya was, in fact, innocent after the execution. Kanji is disturbed having to send an innocent man to death to save himself.
Chapter 5: Everyone is suspicious of Kisaragi after Kurokawa's outburst, but Yuki defends his honor. Kizuna, done with everything, tries to kill Kisaragi, assuming he's lthe mastermind, but Yuki protects him by trapping Kizuna's other pigtail in one of the machines Kisaragi has made. Kizuna is shredded to death by the machine, and her hair goes everywhere. Kisaragi tries to protect Yuki, but the final piece of evidence is how there is no pink hair on his body, while there is for Yuki. This is a callback to Leon using the lintroller to clean up his hair in the original Danganronpa. During the post trial, Reid reveals her findings over the course of the killing game and pinpoints Kisaragi as the mastermind, just like Tsurugi did with Akane in canon. The difference is that Kisaragi's meltdown occurs before Yuki is executed, and Yuki is killed knowing he protected the villain.
Chapter 0: A montage of Kisaragi falling in love with Hope and Despair takes place. The final scene shown is Kisaragi threatening Kurokawa while implanting his bomb in her head. He admits that he plans to erase his memories of Hope and Despair to blend in, and threatens that if Kurowaka doesn't play along, she will be killed.
Chapter 6: There is no investigation. The player receives a series of truth bullets that were found in previous investigations which were not pertinent to their case and is thrust immediately into Trial 6. The case is exactly how Weeby described, with Kisaragi being the rich kid golden child stereotype, while also showing his family intentions with Kurowaka, revealing that their relationship was similar to Peko and Fuyuhiko's except that Kisaragi had no remorse nor want for Kurokawa. The trial ends in a stalemate as Kisaragi realized that he hadn't planned out what to do after he was revealed. He decided to blow up the building like in the original. At this point it is shown that Yuki actually survived his execution until the end of trial 6, and with the power of his luck, he traps Kisaragi and allows the other 4 to escape.
Epilogue: The remaining four found the Maeda Insitute in stead of Kisaragi's organization. Rei is the head of command, as the brains of the group. Ayame heads the military as the brawn of the group. Akane heads social reforms as the heart of the group, and Kinji heads internal affairs as the glue to keep them together.

Chapter 3: So I imagine Kinjo is trying to shoot himself (again) infront of Inori, Inori tries to steal his gun they both kinda fight over it for awhile eventually he pulls the trigger by mistake killing Inori, Kakeru sees this happen and went in for revenge
Chapter 4: After the lost of Haru and Satsuki and his new found friends with Kakeru he sorta just loses it and tries to poison himself but Mikako ends up eating the poisoned stuff
Chapter 5: Kinuza was indeed attempting murder the whole time but Yuki and/or Utsoru seems to already be a complete mess in the head and doesn’t take kindly to being attacked
Chapter 6: Yamato had the game made to be the protagonist he dreamed about but Haru took that from him so he killed Satsuki to mess with his head then framed him aswell and he tried to kill Kinji in chapter 4 but he seems to be a hard target so he can’t do it eventually he is found in chapter 6 and he admits he just wanted to be the hero but in the end he was the villain so he executes himself and Kinji, Ayame, Akane, and Rei all leave

Awww, chapter 3 is so sad.
I can totally see there being a situation like Kakeru killing Kinjo, then Inori walking in on it and Kakeru playing wounded gazelle like Kinji did, pretending he was attacked and did something that made Kinjo die without his involvement- like for example, if Kinjo tried to set a falling object trap that backfired when Kakeru didn't fall unconcious, and Kinjo hurt himself trying to re-arm it.
Inori believes him, but she immediately goes to Kinjo's side to see if she can still save him. However, she notices inconsistencies with Kakeru's story based on the pattern and number of wounds, and Kakeru comes up behind her and tells her, "I'm really sorry" while either stabbing her in the back with something, or strangling her with a rope or somesuch.
Now with two bodies, Kakeru is like "Fuck, fuck, fuck", and decides to try and hide Kanata somewhere and go with the "Kinjo tried and failed to kill me!" story again, figuring nobody else will be able to figure out the minor discrepancies. But his story starts falling apart when they find Kanata- he tries to divert it using a "Second killer" excuse, but Kinji is able to unravel what's really happening. He also sympathizes deeply with Kakeru's situation, even though he can't let it off...

I actually tried doing a wheel myself, i've done one for Drtth, and I'm actually working on turning it into a fanfiction/fan series. Anyways.... back to my wheel. Mikako is the Protag!!! First as she's not social(literally has 3 voice lines prologue - chap 2), then Kinjo is her Support, my guess is that she isn't laid back or weird like Satsuki and HAruhiko. Then our rival is MAki, my guess is that she thinks that Mikako is Too gloomy.
Chapter 1: First we see Kanata Inori die to the hands of Kakeru(hey twinsies) So everyone's shown the motive videos. Kakeru i assume has to it to with his sister? Kakeru maybe targeted her cause she's small.
Chapter 2: Yamato Kisaragi dies to the hands of Ayame. I like to think that instead of Akane trying to help Kizuna, Akane is instead trying to help Yamato with problems with Mikako. But Yamato finds that annoying and decides to end it. BUt wait! Ayame steps in for her girl.
Chapter 3: Mitch & KIzuna (Team sporting) die to Rei (Team not sporting) i honestly don't know why she would kill, all i know is that Rei would go for two easy bait and try use a double murder just to try confuse everyone.
Chapter 4:Ko-bazing dies to MIkako!!!! And who takes over?..... Satsuki!!! cause her husband died... you know great developement. Except Satsuki's gonna ditch the clown costume like Shuichi with the hat.
Chapter 5: Kinji dies to Kinjo!!! There could only be one 'Kinj' first name in this academy.
Chapter 6:The master mind is........ Yuki!!! Or i should say UTsuro! Working for him is Teruya! And after those two die, Satsuki, Akane and MAki are besties.

I kinda came up with something that involved kizuna development. very changed ironically
so chapter 5 happens and there is no motive because there are no more floors. Rei opens up to the group a bit more while kizuna starts "trying" to work with them. Upon investigating the 5th floor, kinji talks to kizuna about anything she found. She shows the picture of yamato on the wall then suddenly gets a headache. She stays in her dorm when it hit her. Yamato kisaragi was giving her a weird feeling and now she knows why. she remembers kisaragi leading them out of the real hopes peak and into the kisaragi foundation. She remember bits of yuki/utsuro and how he never talked. She remembered snip its of her time at hopes peak. Thinking she is going crazy, she sleeps.
when the group meets up kizuna isn't there so yuki/utsuro decides to check on her. He leaves to see kizuna having a headache. Yuki/Utsuro knew what was happening because similar to akane, Yuki/Utsuro was working with the mastermind, yamato. He runs off hoping to find yamato while kizuna wakes up. She wakes up in a memory of her easedropping on a conversation between yamato and yuki/utsuro
"so master utsuro, you have what we need?" utsuro nods. "good if we set this up correctly, we can let enoshima's sacrifice not go in vain! Oh you think it won't work, of course it will, I am the son of kisaragi hanzo afterall. What about kurokawa, she is as dumbfolded as the rest of them. Good were clear then? Okay."
rei runs into kizuna freaking out. she speaks, "hey incompetent what was that all about?" before kizuna could answer she runs all the way to the fifth floor and runs into yuki/utsuro with kisaragi. she tries to run but before she could... She got stabbed in the back by none other than utsuro.
the fifth trial happens and yuki is found guilty. before he gets executed though, he outs kisaragi yamato as the mastermind. Kisaragi admits it, leaving everyone shocked. before utsuro could say more, he got executed. Just like chapter 6, the surviving students investigate for clues about the mastermind and such. They figure out the kisaragi foundation is evil, hopes peak getting destroyed, junk enoshima, utsuro and even about mikako and kisaragi being related. In the end they escape.
TL;DR: basically kizuna gains some of her memories and gets some development while utsuro/yuki and kisaragi are working together. in the end of the 5th trial utsuro outs kisaragi and chapter 6 happens just with kisaragi as the mastermind.

For Chapter 1, I think your initial idea of Maki uno-reversing Mitch in the laundry room is better. Just add in that Maki was shaken by her own motive video, which likely included her brother, so she decided to kill Mitch rather than incapacitate him. She feels regret and confusion over her actions, and isn't able to mount a very good defense because she was taken by surprise.
Your chapter 2 is perfect and I hate it.
For Chapter 3, I like the idea of Kinjo being the traitor better. Similar to Kinji in the canon game, Monokuma tells him if he kills someone Monokuma will spare some people (civilians, or Kinjo's police force, either way). Kinjo kills Kanata because she's vulnerable, but Kakeru finds out. Kakeru's lawyer-mode comes out in full force, and he chooses violence. After the haze clears, Kakeru realizes what he's done, and tries to cover it up by making it look like Kinjo died first (hence why the wheel picked him first). Monokuma reveals Kinjo's motive video as evidence in the trial, which is how everyone figures out why the murder happened and that Kinjo wasn't just a victim. Kakeru apologizes for putting everyone through the trial, and mostly feels regret that he couldn't save Kanata. (In this version, Monokuma doesn't intervene to stop a second killer.)
Your chapter 4 is good, but I just wonder what kind of role Mikako plays in the story if Yamato is the mastermind. Are they still step-siblings? Is she a co-conspirator? Did Yamato purposely sabotage her so she couldn't betray him? Oh, here we go. Yamato killed Mikako because she was close to recovering her full memory and revealing everything. He framed Teruya because the group was hostile to him after finding out he'd hoarded food. This isn't revealed until Chapter 6, so Teruya dies still protesting his innocence.
Your chapter 5 is good, it just needs some story beats. Monokuma reveals that the mastermind is working from within the group. Kizuna was already suspicious of everyone, but becomes more suspicious of Yuki precisely because he is the most normal. She tries to kill him, but, whoops, divine fortune. He kills her without really meaning to, and during the trial, Utsuro is exposed. Utsuro's reemergence also causes Akane to revert to her damaged personality, and she disrupts the killing game to protect Utsuro from Monokuma.
Chapter 6 opens as a contest between Utsuro and Akane vs Monokuma, with the other students caught in the middle. Ayame eventually manages to reach Akane, who starts to recover, creating room for a truce between Utsuro and the other survivors. Kinji goes into prayer to confront whatever dark secrets are within him, and begins to come face to face with the truth. Kisaragi has experimentally heightened the talents of all of them, and is pitting them against each other to test their limits. He intends to create or become a more perfect human, and launch a counter attack against Junko's ultimate despair. He has completely lost it, and is no longer capable of realizing that he has created something as bad or worse than what Junko did, not even regretting what he did to his best friend/ boyfriend or step sister.
When the truth is fully revealed, Utsuro is disgusted at what he has been made into. He taps into his luck, enhanced by Kisaragi's experiments, and destroys the facility, killing Kisaragi and himself(?) in the process. He is careful to spare the four survivors, who escape.
Kinji and Rei come out of this having gained a strong respect for each other, even though Kinji's faith seems at odds with Rei's cynicism. As the only survivor to recover her damaged personality, Akane is in dire need of therapy and support, but Ayame is there and it's very gay and I love it.

Honestly Yamato being the mastermind is even worse when you consider Mikako and Tsurugi, (basically his sister and his closest friend/boyfriend) both died, maybe that brings him into the realization that makes him redeemable. Or just keep him terrible, both are funny.

- OMFG that first chapter, lol. I would've thought just self-defence would work for Maki, but killing Mitch to protect Akane works, especially since Maki was in that friend group with Akane and Ayame from what I recall.
- Satsuki dying by Haru in Chapter 2 is DEFINITELY karma for the Mitch thing. :p Your idea for them though... it's devastating. I love it.
- Kisaragi basically being what Mikado wanted to do is a pretty cool idea, especially with the idea that Junko WAS able to turn them this time. What I wonder about is if Utsuro still has the Divine Luck ability and if that plays into anything (I could see Kizuna killing him being similar to Chapter 2, her suspecting him possibly), and also what Mikako's relationship to Kisaragi would be this time.

I could see Yamato being the leader of the group up until chapter 4 when Mikako dies. He was already starting to get negative character development after Kinjo died but after Mikako dies I could see him realize the deathgame he made just killed his bro and his sister which leads to him embracing his despair even more and going full junko
For the 3rd chapter: Perhaps Kinjo is the one to get the motive about leaving if another murder happens. He's very against killing but can't be sure how long they'll last here until a new murder happens. This leads to Kinjo having his suicide moment earlier, but privately, as that counts as a murder but he won't have to kill anyone else. Inori overhears what's happening and tries to stop it, which results in Kinjo shooting Inori in the stomach. Then Kakeru walks in, sees the situation, and tries to wrench the gun out of Kinjo's hands, but this leads to two other shots, one hitting Inori in the skull, while the second shot hits Kinjo in the heart. He's killed instantly, and Inori being weakened from the blood loss she was suffering from the first bullet is killed within a minute of the second one. Kakeru went to go find help, but after returning finds that Inori had already passed. Not sure how he would hide everything, but that's my interpretation of the actual murder.

If Weeby's scenario goes to get a sequel, I can see Akane and Ayame being the ones to go to the island (probably called Kisaragi Island) to confront the new mastermind, and it playing out like sdra2 (Akane being the Rei in this situation and Ayame being the Teruya, maybe?)
What if Yuki was still Utsuro, and the original mastermind, and Kisaragi found out, and made a plan to basically hijack the killing game by letting it slip to Kizuna that Yuki was dangerous, knowing that she’d try and kill him. Either she succeeds and he dies, or he kills her in defense and becomes the blackened, so Kisaragi can swoop in and take over.
I just fucking realized after 9 months that Kinji is a jojo reference. Unlike pucci, who loves prime numbers and is evil, kinji hates prime numbers, and Is a smol wholesome little best boi.
It seems even in an alternate universe I still can't live past chapter 3. And remember, Weeby is okay now!

Kinjo shoots Inori, witnessed by Kakeru. Kakeru kills Kinjo, then tries to save Inori, but ultimately making the wound worse, killing Inori.

What if for Chapter 3...
Kanata starts to panic following Chapter 3's motivation and goes to somebody for help. The nearest person was Tsurugi. Kanata talks to him about how she needs to get out but he goes on about his whole "if you kill you deserve death" thing. Kanata argues with him that Haru and Maki are NOT criminals and were just trying to help their friends.
Tsurugi sees this as Kanata planning another murder and tries to restrain her so that doesn't happen. Kakeru walks in and sees this, assuming Tsurugi is planning to kill Kanata. They engage in a fight and in the struggle Kanata dies thanks to an accident caused by Tsurugi. Tsurugi falls into despair knowing that his actions caused the death of an innocent, giving Kakeru enough time to finish him off.

I 'd probably go with something less straightforward in the ballroom chapter, in which maybe mikako is the one to bring up the two sacrifices, being driven to desperation faster for whatever reason in this timeline. She brings it up before the group truly descends into madness, and teruya is the first one to break, and takes her up on it. Also for the bit maybe Kizuna attempts to kill Teruya but he kills Mikako, which initiates the investigation, before she can go through with her plan lol

Hell yes the himbo protag! Ayame wingmans for Haru for sure while also mostly ignoring him for Akane. Rei just losing her mind at the class relying on Haru, head in her hands as Haru does the minigames.
Chapter 1: GET FUCKED MITCH 📣📣📣
Mitch pulled a Sayaka and fucked up his murder plot, maybe Maki thought to bring someone with her and they both team up on Mitch with Maki accidentally landing a blow that causes him to hit his head. The two are trying to protect each other and even they aren't 100% sure who landed the blow until part way through the trial. I'm thinking Satsuki is the one with her, because it would help lead into chapter 2.
Chapter 2: Motherfucker. Can these two not get a break??
This would be a sort of v3 trial 1 type I think, with a temporary swap over to Rei when Haru can't bring himself to give up. Scenario-wise I think Haru would have to consider it the only option for him to kill, so the secrets motive would have to have him believe Satsuki was a danger to himself and the others.
This brings me back to my chapter 1 idea where Satsuki was trying to get the class to vote for her, which would have resulted in everyone dying. Therefore her secret is that she's "tried to kill everyone here before" and Haru doesn't think it through enough to realise it's about the first trial and goes straight to mastermind and/or serial killer.
Chapter 3: Kinji please don't go nuts. Please.

KAKERU??? I can only think he accidentally set off a trap that somebody else, maybe even Kinjo himself, built. Nagito's death set the precedent that accidentally setting off a trap gets you marked as the blackened. Maybe Kinjo is trying to pull a Nagito and get everyone killed? I imagine it's a trap like the one in Mockingjay where there's an initial attack then another that goes off when someone tries to save the first victim, which Kanata would do.
Chapter 4: Mikako noooooo :(
Teruya was very on edge that chapter, so I could easily see him snapping. Perhaps it's a murder of opportunity and Teruya kills the first person he finds alone, and Mikako was never very social since she couldn't talk much. And maybe Kizana was aggressive towards Mikako previously in the chapter so everyone thinks she's the obvious culprit until Shinji and Ayame can prove she's got an alibi. Shinji and Ayame paired up and stuck together which gives them an alibi, but when Teruya starts insisting that they're working with Kizuna it becomes a bit clearer that he's losing it a bit, with him having a gradual breakdown throughout the trial. It'd be pretty unnerving for this mostly comedic character to start being scary due to the lack of food- I picture his nightmare face as having hollowed out cheeks and eye sockets in a really exaggerated way to show how much it got to him.
Chapter 5: Yeah I agree with Weeby here, Yuki just doesn't have killer vibes.
Chapter 6: Ooooooh that would be interesting and such a plot twist! He's trying to play Makoto while being Junko in reality.

My idea for chapter 3 is that Kinjo literally gave up on his hate for criminals and decided to go ahead and kill two people (also the person in his desire video was his best friend that in the canon game died but in this one didn’t) and so Kinjo tried to kill Inori and Kakeru but instead of killing Kakeru all he did was knock him out but Kinjo didn’t believe that. So Kinjo being the Kinjo that he is, he left the two bodies (in let’s say, the art room) and left to do things in the library. Then Kakeru wakes up and remembers that Midori is on the verge of dieing and the fact that Kinjo killed Inori so Kakeru searches for Kinjo and kills him.
Also idea the Kisaragi mastermind situation! Kisaragi could’ve somehow hated Utsuro for who he is and for his “Divine Luck” and so Kisaragi somehow manages to erase the Utsuro personality off of Yuki and turn him into Yuki for the rest of his life.

My theory on case 3. in this game is that Kinjo tried to poison Inori and Yamaguchi for unknown reason. Yamaguchi would ne very angry about this and beat Kinjo to death. Inori would find an antidote but there would be enough for Both of them so she gives it to Yamaguchi so he Could survive. Yamaguchi feeling guilt would act just like Satsuki in original trial 4. teling everyone that he is the one who’s resposible for Inoris and Kinjos deaths. No one belived him until Kinji notises that Yamaguchi isn’t like he normaly is in the trials. This scenario would make Yamaguchi the culpurit and make the case even sader. (Sorry if my English is litle broken. I’m still very young plus I live in Finland but I hope you understood well enough.)
