Can the rifle use standard AR barrels and barrel extensions? Obviously without a gas port drilled. What does the bolt head look like? Is it interchangeable with a standard AR 15? I'm asking because I'm in a restrictive state in America and would Love to get one and chamber it in something else besides .223/5.56. Such as 7.62x39, 6.8SPC, 300 HAM'R, .400 Legend.. If it's as simple as a bolt swap and throwing on a custom barrel (no gas port).. I'm totally buying one. However in America we are starting to see a uptick in Lever (BondArms LVRB, Henry, FoxtrotMike) and even a few of our own pumps. The price, layout, and function of the Taipan seems like a winner, plus who wouldn't want to support some blokes trying to give some freedom back to the people!
My biggest complaint is the A2 grip. It is TERRIBLE. I had blisters on my hand after 1 match because of the grip. I switched it out as soon as I could
Did you get blisters with the rubber overmold SCSA grip?
@@SCSA_AU I have the Taipan Light. Looks like the same A2 grip to me. It definitely wasn't rubber. It was plastic. The little tang on the front of the grip was the culprit
@@funkymunky7935 The Taipan X has the Rubber Overmold grip. I was out in the sun for about 8 hours over the shoot day sweating up pretty heavily and didn't get any blisters or irritation from the grip 💪
@@funkymunky7935 so you have the early Light. They all run the overmold rubber grip now.
Please SCSA find a better advocate for your product.
The Taipan light was a fail, more testing was required before releasing to the public.
I'm concerned now about the x to see if it will have any long term issues.
Would the 7615 isn't as accurate as the taipan but has proved it's self 1000 times over.
