I'm pretty new to audio upgrade, have a lot to learn. I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra that I wish to upgrade. Why is it better to by-pass the factory amplifier?
Great video. Forget about the haters. I would like to know what size/type of caps that were used and how you calculated the right ones. A how to on that would be awesome.
How did you run the 4 tweeters up front with the 2 midrange speakers? I see you but caps on them but aftermarket head units only have front and rear, left & right.
I dont understand why you would By-pass the factory amp when metra makes the turn-on harness too make this a pretty seemless job..I did one last week less then an hour install...TYTO-01 from metra. :) I used it on the Levy system worked great! it also has gain adjustment on the module to make the factory stuff sing a little better.
CarPhonix CarAudio I did a recent install on a similar car with that same harness, do you know why the speakers make a pop sound when the stereo powers on? Do you know how I can get rid of that?
Joseph Stalin did you figure out the problem? I did a pioneer head unit install and I get a pop sound initially when the car starts, but after that no sound at all (no radio, aux, or bluetooth).
It means you have a bad ground somewhere or there could be a defect with your radio. I'd start by checking your grounds and make sure they are nice and secure.
Most factory amplifiers (Bose, etc.) are only about the size of a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and put out only about 100-150 watts, sending that output to cheesy 1-way paper-cone speakers with "whizzer" (more like "wheezer") cones, which are far inferior to aftermarket speakers with real tweeters.
Is there no way to send signal to factory amp from the alpine deck? Prolly woulda sounded a lot better than just running off deck power now. I used my factory amp in my maxima w/ aftermarket deck and it was actually a lot simpler of a job.
got JL audio amp. i think 360/2 or something like that. and JL audio 10. dont know crap about setting up a sound system. help please?? tips, ideas, etc. anything please. going on a 2009 Chrysler 300. factory radio.
Why Would anyone do that? i mean alpine v.s stock in terms of power, interface, and options for connectivity. Is the alpine better ?? am just trying to figure out the logic behind this install
I've watched every Amplified episode since the beginning. I look forward to the videos but they are always too short now. I miss the random "bucks" trips and other goofy shit in between episodes.
Why bypass the factory amp? Does that mean you're no longer using it? Wouldn't that degrade the sound if the deck is the only thing powering the speakers, compared to the stock setup?
Shame on the salesman for selling this install. Shame on the installer for doing this bypass. All for what? A 153BT? Get this poor customer an integration harness for fuck's sake!
I got my deck put in at Best buy and they put in a thing that makes it so I can use my stock and.but the tweets are playing bass knotes and the 6x9s arnt loud at all they are rocksfordfosgates 6x9
What a dumb idea to install the whole headunit instead of an additional bluetooth kit and mp3 changer. It would take the same amount of work and keep the dash nice. On the other hand, the customer pays and gets what he/she wants. That's what you get for not consulting with specialists.
Should have kept the factory amp inline with the alpine. It would sound better . This is the poor mans way around the lexus amp.. shoulda used the interface harness..
you can send amplified signal into factory amps, the factory deck is just controls nothing more, the adapters are all junk, either do what they did or throw all the factory cap in the trash and cut the factory harness to bypass it.
Your forgot the "How to" part.
What's one thing you can't bypass.....
My love for you sound man...
F3ARFULLSLAP Ha! Good one
Your commentary cracks me up. You guys are awesome. Keep it up.

Nobody going to help here?

These episodes are too short. We need 15 minutes atleast.

I agree with you on this. This video just shows how another shop did a shisty install.

***** I'm pretty sure you're talking about ground loop, it wasn't that.
So o cut the wires going to the amp...connect them to an adapter and wala? Is that about right? Well anyway thanks man.

and some 9 conductor wire would have saved them tons of time on this install too...
Is it possible to do a decent tune with the Alpine 9 band PEQ?
What was the colour of speaker wires used there's fricking loads
What is the music playing in this episode?
Like for something to Soundman indicated in the description, what music used in the video.
Awesome show Doug
Does Metra not a pre-made bypass harness for this car?
anybody know the color code for the output speaker wires @ the amplifier ??
Allyn needs to make a comeback!

I got my deck put in at Best buy and they put in a thing that makes it so I can use my stock and.but the tweets are playing bass knotes and the 6x9s arnt loud at all they are rocksfordfosgates 6x9

I bypassed mine by running new wires, but ...dang!
Dashboard carpet? What has the world turned into?
Hahaahaha that's kiddo things
In most new cars, an aftermarket head unit would look really silly in the dash.
Should have kept the factory amp inline with the alpine. It would sound better . This is the poor mans way around the lexus amp.. shoulda used the interface harness..
longer videos
why not use a pac tato module???????????
Save the Hose!!!
awesome
Unless the factory amp was blown there was no reason to do all of that..

First!
I learned zero % from this install 🤷♂️
Ridiculous! What a waste of time. The music is irritating.
Cluster cluck lmfao
