It s very fascinating draft class. I believe they struck pure gold in Fashanu. I hope they change around those rookie numbers, except for 0...which seems perfect.. as for moving and shifting players on the line around.. its just another move by an offensively pedestrian staff that seems not to have figured it out yet that its ruining players.. very concerning
Agree 1000% about not shifting OL all over the place. In this era of specialization, why not have specialists in their positions on the OL? Having one swing tackle is a good idea, but let the other guys settle in a start building chemistry now rather than trying to force that chemistry building later on.
Valid criticisms. I feel the same. Olu is a LT. But at the same time he may get playing time on the field that's not at LT, might as well give him a little prep. Next season he's our starting LT
I don’t think moving Olu around is a problem if the player is OK with it. He can still hone his LT craft and the injury thing isn’t legit to me because things happen. The future is bright no matter what.
Looking forward to hearing more about the UDFAs as well particularly qb PeeWee Jarrett that guy's release is explosive with decent accuracy too. #UptownBaby #JetsFanFromFiji
Yes, medicine has advanced and players can come back sooner from injury if they take care of themselves. In many of the position battles, if it's close could see Jets keeping the UDFA.
love what you do but can't agree with your take on position versatility. the players you mentioned in your video like sauce and mc changing positions are starters ,they are not talking about moving tyron and moses around but the backups. you must have versatility amongst the backups and right now olau is a backup. keep doing what your doing you are my favorite Jets content creator.
I have no problem getting Olu reps at RT, since the idea of him replacing Moses is more appealing than Mitchell do it. My problem is if they bounce him to LG which is what I’ve seen some people vouch for. Keep him at OT. Also get him a different number ffs
They won't make him a guard, don't worry. His run blocking is not there yet but he was the best pass blocker out of the draft. That means moving to guard just takes away his strengths
JT3 or J3T. Which is better for Travis. I like J3T personally. The thing with OL movement is its just the philosophy. They want the best starting five every game. And they want the best starting five regardless of their strongest position. Yes im not for it either. But thats just how it is. They dont want to be handicapped by having to cut a player, so they can have to sign a player that is only dependent on one position on the OL. The more versatile your OL is, the less players you need to keep for it and can save a few spots for other positions. I dont agree with it. But ive just come to acceot it at this point. This is how this regime wants to do things.
@@kdude25mangold was a way better football player than Ferguson, but not saying Ferguson was bad but nick was on another level. They’re affiliated cus they were drafted together
@@Njbear7453 I'm not saying Ferguson was a better player or on the same level as Mangold. Just saying D'Brick deserves his jersey retired. He's the best blindside blocker we've ever had.
Wait till Nick makes a comment before we get all over this kid and #74 - It’s Nicks number we all know that he gets final say in who should or shouldn’t wear his number, be patient with this we don’t know everything that goes on behind the scenes with player to player communications
Sorry, I have to disagree about the new/old uniforms. I hated them as a kid in the 80’s and couldn't wait for them to be changed. I would like the Jets to have some fun combinations like Oregon.
I don't like the idea of retiring numbers because eventually what numbers are going to be available for players to use if they're all retired. Players are only going to continue to get better as years go on so I don't think retiring numbers is good. Love mangold tho respect to him
Saleh’s comment worries me because the worst thing to give the Jets is a ball of clay, because they will absolutely forget to put the lid on the can and it will get dried out and ruined.
As far as Teavis goes, unfortunately for him, the Jets don't have a clue how to develop a young QB. They need to find a QB whisperer because players only have so much time to help a young player. As far as moving players around reminds me of Jack of all trades, master of none.
I have more faith in Rodgers and Tyrod developing him than anyone else. The only other thing he has going for him is the fact he has zero pressure. Just sit and learn for a couple years. Oh, and he has weapons and a line, something Zach and Darnold did not have. That said I’m still of the opinion we just picked the wrong guy in Zach. The only guy I can see that we drafted who could have panned out in the right situation is Darnold, and this regime had nothing to do with him. Travis is a different breed as far as mental makeup and toughness. Honestly more excited about him than I was with Zach back in 2021.
@b0nkert0ns7 I hope you're right. I personally never wanted Zach and would have preferred to trade with the 49ers for their haul and take a chance with Fields. Oh well, we'll never know.
I thought the Jets were looking at a lineman from the Packers? They have to pretend that Joe Namath is in the backfield with bad knees and make Rodgers their number 1 priority. Find another Gaurd or two in free agency. Use the money. I can almost guarantee that one of this tackles will get hurt.
Regardless of if how this draft class develops, I have to give all respect to quality of the character of the young men brought in. Every single drafted player appears to be a very high character high-class individual. These are the types of young men the fans can be proud of and get behind. 🫡 ✈️
I am in total agreement with finding and placing the offensive line players in one spot until they have mastered that spot before teaching them another position on the line.
This could be one of the best UDFA Class in the League. I'm super excited. 💪😎✌️
OLU SHOULD WEAR #70 RESPECT TO MANGOLD GO JETS 💯
Mangold went into the ring of honor in 22 ...yet does not have his number retired?
How does that work??
Agreed more on Jets than Olu.
I agree, retire #74 Nick Mangold
We made the right choice with these uniforms, we should keep these forever.
New helmets and logo look awesome. Really liking that darker shade of green with bolder logo font. Can't wait to see the full uniform in one piece.

I really like the players we drafted and the focus on offense ! I think Braelon Allen is going to be an absolute monster.
I can feel the positive energy flowing from the players & staff!
Bro..we’re stacked with talented players. Barring injuries we can go far!! Go Jets!!

These guys are all a wait and see! A lot of hype and looks promising, but we need to see it!
I mean every pick is like that lol
Olu is our future Tyron Smith for 13+ years coming.
Let us pray
🙄
Imagine if Luke Falk or David Fales had those weapons!

ACL injuries used to be career ending
I seen Olu tweeked his leg on his 40 yard dash at the combine. They just said they are working him in slowly with it.
HEY IAN ! forget everything else .. PEEWEE JARRETT baby !
I don’t think moving Olu around is a problem if the player is OK with it. He can still hone his LT craft and the injury thing isn’t legit to me because things happen. The future is bright no matter what.
Nope. Olu is the franchise LT. Full stop.
Olu , carter , Max , Wes are our backups and I like them 👌 I’m hoping the jets can add another vet or udfa gem. Idk, JT reminds me of Trubisky

Can't wait for training camp

OLU is the future foundational long term LEFT TACKLE
@@yoholmes273 he will play if Simpson or AVT are out

More than good so far.
Just wait until the real season begins. Which Jets will be going down with season ending injuries?
We haven’t shifted guys around on the defensive line like on offense because they have stayed healthy (knocking on wood right now).
I always liked the 1980's uniforms the best. I didn't like last years uniforms at all. Was Mitchell decent at G vs. T?
We should retire Nick Mangold's number? 😡
Mangold & D'Brick both need their jerseys retired

If a man the size of Vince Wilfork can come back of an Achilles tear than anyone can. Just need the right Doctor, mindset, and rehab plan.
What are the cons? Some players should thrive and some would wilt. They need to know what the players can do.
