How confident are you in Olu Fashanu?
Super confident. His idol is Tyron Smith. Taking Olu Fashanu at 11 completely reminds me of the Jets now having basically two Tyron Smiths. Olu is just a younger Smith.
Very confident in his abilities but I’m terrified the Jets are gonna screw this up by trying to move him around the line. Leave him at LT and let him do his thing
Stop being a baby
@@nicoy3k Not really sure how that’s being a baby, it’s a legitimate concern. Saleh, JD, and even Aaron Rodgers have been talking about moving him around since literally the night he was drafted. It’s a lot for a rookie to take in if he’s practicing on a different side every other day
@@colinmcv2715 it’s not a legit concern. Many HOF LT have played their first year or two on the right side. Hell, Joe alt is playing on the right next year.
@@nicoy3k Correct, Joe Alt is playing on the right side. He’s not flipping back and forth trying to learn two different positions. If they want Olu on the right, keep him on right but the ideal scenario is keeping him at his natural position on the left side
@@nicoy3k My whole point is wherever it’s decided he best fits in, he should be getting the majority of his reps there. They can’t manage the O-line the same way they did last year where they didn’t have their starting 5 decided until the week leading up to week 1 and they had like 10 different o-line combinations throughout the year
Good discussion, good guest 👍
Good interview
Tyron Smith can play and has played right tackle at a elite level. Even he has some flexibility if Moses goes down
Seems to have a great attitude.
Olu will take all the first team reps at LT from OTA’S and training camp and through the regular season against this DL.. if he needs to play he’ll be prepared and if not. Smith played all year and we’re making a deep run
Let him back up Smith and he'll be ready to roll if/when Smith goes down and then he can step right in after Smith moves on or retires. Don't put the cart before the horse!
I really hope they don’t shuffle him to be a swing tackle. Let Max and Warren battle it out for RT. It’s a given Smith will miss time and we need him to back him up.
Rodgers likes Corley, good enough for me.
I honestly think that mite be the case. Alt is freakish tall, he mite have injury risk. Well know in a few year, but I think the jets got really luck. I was shocked he was still available at 10!!
Let’s go Olu!!! God bless! Jesus Christ is the way and saves! Psalms 62✝️🤍💪 Jeremiah 29:11✝️💪🤍
More confident than Becton when he was drafted.
The Jets always get "the best" draft picks. Stop overhyping these guys. He wasn't the best tackle in the draft, hopefully he will be very good for us. Same with people comparing Corley to Deebo. Just see it play out before we have these lofty expectations for all these guys
Maybe rotate him in for MO and Ty when they need a play off. Or it's a blowout game. They can find ways to get him snaps every game
Rodgers likes Corley, good enough for me.
Best to second best behind Joe Alt. Olu Fashanu by the numbers in ways was better than Joe Alt. It wasn’t the sexy pick but the right pick at 11
Killer work dude!!!
He isn’t better than alt
