@@RickeyTerrellVision top 100 is cool and all but hard knocks actually gives great insight into the nfl. It shows what players go through physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's so much more entertaining than players voting for who was obviously the best players in the league.

It's funny how we jet fans look back on that time fondly but I watched a few of their 09 and 10 games back and we forget how GOD AWFUL the offense was, specifically Sanchez. Yea we had a great running game but that was it in terms of offensive threat
@@94jetsfan We had the best run game and arguably the best defense in the league. Great recipe for success with a rookie QB. We got close to making it to the Superbowl!
@@Adamo2JZ yea no doubt but still I feel like people look back on that offense, specifically Sanchez more fondly than deserved. I know I did until I watched it back and almost vomited whenever I saw Mark drop back for a pass lol.

Rewatching this season as a hype up for this upcoming season. Dude the jets were so close and I will always have a soft spot for this era of jets . The pride was real when we were lucky to be fans at this time
I remember my friend getting HBO at the time just so we can all go to his crib to watch the premier of this season together and how exciting it was. All the storylines at the time: the new vets that joined the squad (Tomlinson, Jason Taylor, Santonio Holmes), Mark Sanchez taking a 2nd year leap with the new weapons on offense, Darelle Revis contract stalemate. It was my first season of Hard knocks and it set the standard for me. Not sure Saleh and the 2023 Jets will be as entertaining but It is refreshing to see them back again nearly 13 years later
The only season I went out of my way to watch. This was like crack.
it's amazing how many of these 2010 jets guys got post-retirement TV gigs off of this show alone

You guys finally have a front office that can build a roster properly, and zach wilson showed some tremendous flashes late in the season. Sure thr AFC has gotten much better but i think you have a good shot to lock up an AFC east title.
@@MrTallformyheight out whole season is on Zach at this point. We will go as far as his year 2 development goes. We also have to be healthy which has been a problem for us, but I agree. We can win 6 games or we can win the AFC East. I’m ready!!

from someone that had never seen hard knocks i understand what you mean it seems the first season did everything right the analysis of the game, the player reltionships, the stress of being a football player it was very well put it seems after that season it became lets record teams that are bad or mediocre now

Schottenheimer isnt that great , I remember after 09 he was a coaching candidate and then after they missed the playoffs In 2011 he moved on to Georgia on mark rich's staff and now the seahawks with Wilson

That was a tough team. Had they had a healthy Chad Pennington instead of Sanchez, then they might have won it all. They were fantastic defensively. I saw them live in Cincinnati in the 2010 playoffs. They shut down my Bengals, who were a pretty dangerous offensive team that year.
